5 minutes periods seem to be too quick.

Lines and scratched players are going to be an issue. Example No Crosby for me.

First game we got kicked off the server, hopefully that's just a fluke and doesn't turn into NCAA.

    Still having fun though.

BigKing - it was great to meet you and get our first game in of what hopes to be a great season of NHL 12. I'm with you on all of these, particularly period length. My recommendation would be 8 minutes, and I think that's what you said you used as well - but it's up to the rest of the guys here on where we go.

Carcillo is still in though, and he has a torn ACL - need a new roster update and quick.

Yeah, I can understand about Crosby. Letang is out as well and in my opinion the lines are a mess. Not that we can do anything about it.

yeah EA doesnt really seem to care about the rosters and lines, the lines are always a mess IMO.

if we could do 7 min periods, we would. but 10 min periods is to long for one game.

two back to back 5 min period games takes about 40 mins, 45 or so if you go to an OT/SO.. perfect for long seasons like i normally run that are 40 games long. for a quick 20 game season or so, does seem quick. all will work out though, working out the kinks here lol.

yeah, EA's Roster Updates have dropped off BIG time this year. its horrible. usually every two weeks they had new updates, not this year.

i would expect one in a week or so, then about two weeks after the trade deadline. it is what it is though, nothing we can do.

getting kicked from games is rare in NHL, for me at least. probably just a fluke.

thanks for posting thoughts etc, keep em coming guys.

yeah, this roster now dropped like 4 or 5 weeks ago. its horrible!!

I didnt take time to look - but can you only go in 5 minute increments for online games? In season I go 8 and it works out beautifully. (5 game minutes = 2 real minutes)

I think there are going to be a lot of very low scoring games .... but with 10 minutes there might be some very high scoring games. just cant win :(

i hope one day you are driving through the desert west of my house and your car breaks down. i will pick you up but will then make you watch replays of the two times we chased the blacksparrows keeper this year.

Seems like we have a good group of guys. Having a little trouble getting in contact with a few of them. It's just the start though I'm sure things will be smoother as the season progresses.
