Current League Table (I'll update 1 per in-game month)

I'm going to share with you my QPR Master League from PES 2012. It won't be too in depth or anything as I'm really trying to justify to myself (and my wife) why this is important enough to drop $150-$200 on a PVR so I can have more official looking highlights. Until then I'm going low budget, and just using my Iphone.

    Quick Recap:

    We are terrible.

We are 1-1-6 in league play following our last 4-2 defeat at the hands of 1st place Tottenham. We have advanced in the F.A. Cup after defeating Leeds United 3-2. Our next opponent in the EPL is #3 place Chelsea (5-1-2).

Here's are highlights from the 4-2 loss to Tottenham. The score looks a lot worse than it was as we had the game tied unti the 77' when Lennon and his speed scores and in the 78' when Van Der Vaat hurt us with a 2nd stellar free kick and his 3rd goal of the game.

QPR Loses Another and Manager Dillard May Be On The Hot Seat

    Goals Scored (PK): 0/0
    Goals Scored (FK): 0/0
    Assists: 1/2

    Free Kicks: 6 / 1
    Corner Kicks: 2 / 3
    Interceptions: 47 / 39
    Possession: 58% / 42 %

QPR cannot seem to get off the losing streak in the league. After losing the lead early against Chelsea, the Hoops fired back with a sizzling strike by Taarabt and then a wonderful first touch and finish by Patrick Agyemang. However, Chelsea was able to regain the lead with a wonderful volley by Lampard and sealed the deal with 86' breakaway by Drogba.

-Patrick Agyemang comes into my office and shows his appreciation for being allowed to play the entire 90' vs. Chelsea.

QPR manager, D. Dillard and his boys finally pick up their second win of the season, in stylish fashion. This one was over early, as all four goals were scored in the 1st half. QPR star, Adel Taarabt showed a bit of class racking up two goals and an assist, while the English striker, Jay Bothroyd also scored twice showing he may be ready for full time duties at striker. QPR was languishing in last place in the Premier before this win and hopefully the win will put them back on the right track.

QPR Is Destroyed By One Man Team: Kun Aguero

Man City turned up the heat on us in the 2nd half after we managed to tie them late in the 1st. It was the Aguero show as he singlehandedly carved up my defense. Man City must've changed their tactics to the long ball in the 2nd half because we had him under wraps in the 1st half and he just ran wild in the 2nd. However, giving up 2 own goals probably didn't help much either.

    HEY LOOK, FOULS!!!!!

A pretty chippy game as the ref calls 17 fouls between the two teams. Newcastle had the bulk of the better chances, although the stats say differently. I was pretty upset we weren't able to capitalize on their aggressive play with all of the free kick opportunities. I'll take a draw when we are struggling like we have been though.

I really can't believe we lost this one. We had it under control and lost it late when we couldn't get the ball cleared in extra time. I don't even want to talk about it anymore.

One Goal Is All That Is Needed To Top Norwich City

I know it's just Norwich City but we really needed this win after we crapped away the points against Stoke. We dominated pretty much every aspect of the game on the pitch and we looked like a well-oiled machine out there. We limited shots, possession while maximizing everything but shot opportunities. Agyemang continues to impress me with his movement on the pitch and he looks like our best option for striker out there.

    Thanks for checking in.

Yes, I do like PES more. The play is overall is more organic in PES than FIFA. FiFA is very structured to the point where you pretty much know how things will play out. PES has many more "wow" moments. Especially playing the CPU.

Watching the highlights the movements look a lot more realistic. The game looks like it plays faster too. Not necessarily in terms of high pressure, but just the players and ball look like they move quicker which looks a bit more realistic to me. I guess I'd have to play it to really be able to tell though.

That's just highlight speed, though. The game can be adjusted on a sliding scale to play at whatever pace you feel comfortable.

Maybe its just because I'm so used to the animations in FIFA and its just because they're different, but I really like the highlights from these. looks smooth with a good flow to the game, but the thing that always drove me crazy about PES was the lack of licensing. i can't stand to play with fake teams and fake players, i love the realism that comes with FIFA. Obviously PES has some real teams, but how many authentic teams and players are they missing?

PES is fully customizable, though. Someone took the time out and fixed all of the rosters (names/jerseys, stadiums etc.) and even added Bundesliga and NPower. Konami even makes it easier for users by allowing roster save files from previous PES iterations so that you don't have to start all over as a roster creator. It's a little bit clunky getting the rosters on XBOX, but pretty seamless on PS3. I may buy it on PS3 next year (I say that every year though...lol).

FIFA does have a lot of licenses but honestly, a lot is for show because no one even plays with probably (estimate) 70%-80% of the teams on there.

yeah, I'd be the one using a lot of those teams though...I love playing with different teams, different players...its part of the reason I started the rec league, it combines variety of teams and players with real life authenticity and games against real people. i love those games. although i do think the Master League concept in PES is great from what I know of it, but I don't think I could justify getting both games, and the wide authenticity of FIFA will always be such a huge factor for me. I would need the updated rosters and edits before I could really even make PES playable...but I'm a huge stickler for following real life

I really think that I'm on the hot seat after this loss. I don't think we've won at home yet and that can't be good. It seemed to be under control for a while but we lost again. I'd like to find a bright side, but I don't think one exists right now.

I didn't think you could get fired in PES? At least I read that you can't receive contracts from other teams so I didn't think they could fire you either....

This really depressing. We can't seem to find our stride at all at home as we lose another. Liverpool combined a smothering defense with air superiority to destroy all hope of winning this one. Carroll had a hat trick and I'm not sure what to do to get us some wins.
