Most people felt the Atlantic Coast Conference has been one of the strongest conferences from top to bottom year in and year out. The ACC won the ACC vs B1G challenge yet again this season. Last year, the ACC came down between Wake Forest and North Carolina, in a game that would determine who went to a BCS Bowl and who was left out. North Carolina came up with the win, and traveled to the Orange Bowl, while Wake Forest, who was stunned that Clemson got a BCS bowl bid over them, had to deal with not getting the respect they deserved. Most people felt that Wake Forest would take that motivation and run with it this year, and use that motivation to get them to a BCS bowl his year, and at the very least, represent the Atlantic division of the ACC, but the chances of them making it now look grim. Their coach has taken a leave of absence citing personal matters right before the biggest game of it's season against Clemson. North Carolina, who has represented the Coastal Division for as long as I can remember, was beat on a 49 yard Hail Mary by Virginia in a game that easily an Instant Classic. This is how the ACC shapes up.
    Atlantic Division
ClemsonClemson has two losses on the season, one to Iowa, and then dropped a conference game, but not a division game, to North Carolina. Clemson takes on Wake Forest this week, and with a win, which most people predict over a coach less team, will pretty much insure them a spot in the Conference Championship game unless something unforeseen happens in the near future that is. After Wake Forest, their schedule is pretty easy and all games are games that should be won, but anything can happen.

    NC State
NC State has dropped one conference game, and it was to Clemson, and they do have a very touch game coming up against North Carolina, but if they can beat UNC, they will have an outside shot at the Conference Championship game. They would, however, not control their own destiny and would need for Clemson to lose at least one more game. Both currently have just 1 loss in conference, so anything could happen. A win by NC State this week could put the pressure on the Tigers.

    Coastal Division
    Virigina
Virginia pretty much has the Coastal division locked up. They are currently undefeated in conference, and out of conference play, and have no tough games left on their schedule. They've squeaked out some very close games with 2 three point wins and a two point win to keep this impressive streak going. In order for them to miss out on the Conference Championship game, they would have to lose not 1, but 2 games because they hold the tie breaker over North Carolina with a head to head win. If the Cavilers handle business like they should, they will be going to a Conference Championship, with hopes of a National Championship game on their mind.
*B1G write up will come later.

Nice write-up Philstyle3005. With the talent I have this year, I really feel like I dropped the ball with 2 losses.

Yeah, my talents a little lacking so I'm not to upset about missing out this season.

The B1G lost the challenge between them and the ACC this year, but are still a very tough conference from top to bottom. They have 4 in the top 25 rankings, 3 in the top 10, and also have the #1 team in America in their conference. The beginning of this season, it looked like the B1G could be won by anyone. Purdue made it to the championship last year with possibly one of the least talented teams in the conference, but peaked at the right time. Wisconsin is the normal powerhouse over there, and had a few runs to win their division, and chances to win the conference and go to a National Title. Then you have Penn St. who came on strong at the end of last season, and started off this season red hot, being ranked as high as #3 before their loss last week. The predictions at the beginning of the season were that Michigan would capture another B1G title, but the road would be much tougher than it has been in years past for them. This is how things are shaping up.
    Leaders Division

    Wisconsin
Wisconsin has had a pretty solid season so far, checking it at 6-2, undefeated in conference play, and ranking 15th in the latest BCS standings. They have a loss to the ACCs UNC, and Clemson, other than that, they've been solid and haven't shown any signs of trouble. But, the toughest part of their conference schedule has yet to come. They still have #7 Penn St. left, and end the season against #6 Nebraska. Fortunately for them though, the game they need to win and worry about is the Penn St. game. If they beat Penn St., it will give them their second conference loss, but more importantly, it will give Wisconsin the tie breaker over the Nittany Lions which would guarantee the Badgers a spot in the Championship game. This matchup is in two weeks, and should be a good one.

    Penn St.
Penn St. has had a tremendous season this year, topping out at the #3 ranking before last week. Penn St. is 8-1, with a close 27-24 win over Wake Forest in week 2, and a 13-12 win over Nebraska a few weeks ago, with their only loss coming last week to Michigan, 20-3. Even with the conference loss last week, they have a chance to avenge it and make the Conference Championship, but they'll have to beat Wisconsin to do it. This will be a huge game for both programs, and only one will be able to walk out with a victory. Both teams are very similar in a way, so it should be an interesting match up. With the Division Championship on the line, it should provide a lot of pressure for both teams and coaches.

    Legends Division

    Nebraska
Nebraska has really turned it's program around. They were an average program before last year, when they really turned things around, and this season, they're proving it wasn't just a fluke. Nebraska is 7-2, 4-1 in conference play, losing to North Carolina in a non conference game, and losing by 1 point to Penn St. They have two very tough, but winnable games left on their schedule. They face off against Michigan in Week 13 followed by Wisconsin in Week 14. Both games are must wins for them to get a shot at the conference championship. If they beat Michigan, and lose to Wisconsin, they will not make the Championship. If they lose to Michigan, they're automatically left out. They can't look past either opponent, and I know for a fact, their coaching staff won't. Nebraska is a very tough team this year, even after losing their record breaking running back, they're still one of the best teams in the Nation right now. They're scary, can score points, and lock opponents up defensively. The last few weeks will be very interesting.
    Michigan
Michigan has turned in another special season thus far, going 8-0, including a big win last week over a team many thought could trip the Wolverines up in Penn St. Michigan has started a True Freshman at QB this season, and a lot of people thought that they had lost too much on both sides of the ball to compete. What critics failed to realize is Michigan doesn't rebuild, they reload. They have one game left on their schedule that could give the #1 team in the nation trouble and that's Nebraska. The Wolverines will focus on them when the time comes, but you can bet that they will be ready when Nebraska sets foot in the big house. Even with a loss in this game, the Wolverines could find a way to make it to the Big Game in Indianapolis, but they would need help from Wisconsin, and everyone knows that it's always better to control your own destiny, than rely on someone else.

Good write up on the B1G Philstyle3005. Hopefully I can pull off another close win and make it to the championship and get another shot at you/Nebraska.
