An absolute epic game just went down at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The Orange Bowl matchup between the # 6 Virginia Cavaliers and the #7 Texas Tech Red Raiders. It wouldn't be Zeroes to Heroes and a true BCS User Matchup without:
    Double Overtime
    139 Points Scored
    3 Kickoff Returns for TD
Over 1000 Yards of Total Offense
Two TD Passes of Over 70 Yards
A Fumble at the Goal Line to End the Game

#6 Virginia Cavaliers 73 vs. #7 Texas Tech Red Raiders 67
The Virginia Cavaliers went up early on the Red Raiders by a score of 21-7 after the end of the first quarter. But Coach Sabo and his crew played hard nosed, big play football and fought right back in there. At halftime we were all knotted up at 28-28
Texas Tech took a 3 point lead with 2:44 left in the 4th quarter, Ross Metheny and his Cavaliers had one more chance to win or send the game to overtime. The Cavaliers drove the length of the field, but a failed 2nd and goal run attempt from the 2 yard line left the Cavaliers in need of a field goal to send it to OT. Virginia nailed it and we headed to the first overtime.
On the first play of the first overtime Texas Tech WR E. Ward caught a 25 yard TD pass putting the Cavaliers back on their heels. Virginia would answer with a score of its own when QB Ross Metheny threw his 5th TD of the game. Virginia started with the ball at the beginning of the 2nd Overtime. Texas Tech halted the Cavaliers on their first two plays, but on 3rd and 10 Ross Metheny found Kevin Royal for a 25 yard TD strike, his 6th TD pass of the game. Texas Tech drove quickly and got the ball down to the Virginia 2 yard line, but a toss play to the outside and a big hit caused Red Raider HB Griffin to fumble, which was recovered by the Cavaliers, ending the game.
