Dam, we all keep missing each other. Too bad there wasn't some sort of alert you could put on your phone or something.
I was out seeing Spiderman with the girl and some of her family and got on late. I'll be available whenever I wake up on Saturday, lol
My bad, I worked 1-1 today and never had a chance to check the forums... Unfortunately I'm working nights all weekend Should we shoot for Monday night?
It depends on when I wake up haha. I'll try and get a hold of you if I get a chance early afternoon tomorrow.
Our group stage has taken longer than the real EURO... Maybe we need to switch our scheduling to Assisted/Fast... We can still leave gameplay Manual/Slow
Group games are still not done? Geez. I am losing faith on this online league thing. No wonder why EA doesn't put much effort in it. If they can improve some features either offline or public online, I may as well stick with a few friendlies here and there whenever I can catch my friends from here. The online competitions are making less and less sense since people don't seem to attend it for the fun of it. Maybe we should only run elimination based cups without any group stage where every game matters. Maybe then people will play.
The most success we have had this year has been the MLS. Which makes no sense... The TFL Cup had to be scrapped, the CL was a disaster, and the EL had to be removed completely. Not to mention the TFL lost half it's owners over the season. I honestly don't know what will work here... Do you? I'm losing faith here. We couldn't even get through a 3(!!!) game group stage smoothly. This should have been done in a week. Not sure if everyone gets it, but the idea was to hold this thing DURING the Euro. Meaning, pick teams, play the groups, get through knockout and hold the Final the same weekend as the EURO final. I'm disappointed to say the least. And maybe I'm being over the top... but after the impending clusterfuck of drafting teams once FIFA13 drops, will anyone be interested in playing games? Or is the selection of Arsenal the absolute pinnacle of our leagues? It's like the idea of playing with a team is more satisfying than actually playing the season. This is another reason why I am hoping for a NCAA Online Dynasty feature for FIFA... let me grab 12 guys and play 10 seasons in the FIFA world together. Rant over.
Not to mention, Im aware that you leave on the 11th and you would probably normally advance to the final. But because of these issues the euro will be disjointed. And then we will need a fill in for turkey.
I think I will be back before we have to play the next round. I'm only away until 25th. We'll be fine.
I don't know what would here, not anymore. I have told you my ideas recently but even those don't really apply well under the current circumstances. What I would want to stay away may be one way to keep things interesting. Instead of seasons, a ladder system. But then how is that different than EA after all in many ways. So that's really not a great direction to head in my opinion. The most fun I had in a long time was pre EURO when people were playing friendlies trying to lay their hands on the team they wanted. Results didn't matter, everyone played in great fashion. It was a great fun period in my opinion. I honestly wouldn't be opposed to that kind of a system to draft teams for a final competition that is elimination based maybe. Skip the whole group stage. Eliminate and you're in the next round. Those that get eliminated can start working on their next tournament so they're not waiting for the tournament to finish. Almost like the tournament being a Champions League equal and the draft friendlies being the regular season without standings basically. That basically kinda proves the selection of the teams being the highlight of the season. People that are looking for more serious competition can go play H2H when they're not playing TSO friends. Maybe that's why MLS succeeded so much. Everyone joined it not caring too much for the competition and that's why it's more successful. People just keep playing their games regardless where they are in the standings cos it's not "THE" "Premier" TFL title that's at stake, whatever that means, but seems like it means something to some. I don't know if you guys get my point...
