Leg 1 Portugal 0 @ Bosnia-Herz 1 Portugal Bruno Alves (48') > Bruno Alves (90') Bosnia-Herz Dzeko (75') Ibisevic Begovic (10.00) Mudjza (48') Great game that see's the underdog Bosnians come away with the important home victory. A header by Dzeko was the difference. We expect a motivated Portuguese squad in the return leg.. GG JJ
Leg 2 Bosnia-Herz 3 @ Portugal 1 Bosnia-Herz Dzeko (17') Misimovic (23') Ibisevic (63') Dzeko Ibisovic (2) Begovic (9.60) Portugal Ronaldo (39') Nani Bosnia pulls off the shocker as they complete their playoff win in Portugal. The Portuguise were probably unlucky in this one as they outshot the Bosnians badly. After scoring two quick goals, Bosnia just went into a defensive form and let the Portuguise attack. It's quite different playing with these guy's as I usually like pace but these guy's have literally zero so I'm really playing more of a cross and head type of style. Guy's like Dzeko and Misimovic were fantastic in these two games and were now looking forward to playing the likes of Germany and Holland. GG JFace, you were very unlucky in this one. I feel bad coming away with the W as it probably wasn't deserved.
History has changed. We are now officially in a parallel evil EURO universe and have split from reality... Scary shit (mental injury)
Turkey (2) v (1) Croatia Turkey: 81' 82' Burak Yilmaz Sarioglu, Tore Burak Yilmaz Croatia: 14' Perisic 42' Corluka
Croatia (0) v (0) Turkey Croatia: 49' Modric Turkey: 24' 45' Tore Suat Kaya After two breath taking games, Turkey makes it into the EURO. In their home leg, it only took them a minute to take back an early given lead. Burak's 2 quick goals at 81st and 82nd lifted the Turks back only to fight for their tournament on the road for another 90 minutes. They put a wall made out of flesh and stopped the Croatians. The highlight of the second game was Gokhan Tore taking a yellow in the last minute of the first half recklessly on offense, and then just seconds after being booked, making another mindless challenge. You could read his face that he was ready to walk towards the showers, and yet evening's most questionable move came from the ref, letting him go only with a warning. PIG BOMB deserved just as much to compete in the EURO with his warrior style of soccer, just came short a few inches, a few times. Hope to see him succeed in the upcoming events.
I double checked the ratings. For some reason, the overall rating doesn't always compute properly with creation centre. But, the actual individual ratings have not been changed. If all honesty, being a FIFA data reviewer, I have learned that the FIFA team does not discuss or value overall. They actually have major internal fights about if it should be kept or not. The brass decided to keep overall to make game more approachable to casual players. They deem the individual ratings more important to the players performance especially when considering tactics and formations.
Great games!! I really thought Modric was going bury that shot from just inside the box with a minute to go in game two and send us to the tournament! Maybe Modric doesn't play as well in the pouring rain? Or maybe I need to work on my manual stick skills <<<< bingo! LOL I felt like Turkey's midfield got the better of us and showed them the way to victory. Lot's of fun- looking forward to the next event!
Estonia 1 - 1 Ireland Estonia: Dmitrjev 44' Given (OG) 80' Ireland: McGeady 16' Dunne 73' Dunne So in Ireland's away game versus Estonia they get the tie. Numerous chances were wasted until Dunne finally got one. A stupid play in the 80th minute occurred when Given came out and collected the ball at his feet. I brought in into the box and tried to pick it up, but pushed the wrong button and he passed it into the net. If i'm ousted because of it, it's my mistake. On to the second leg Michael Woodward
Ireland 1 - 0 Estonia Ireland: McGeady 43'Doyle St. Ledger Estonia: No events Ireland move on to the EURO 2012 group stages. With a 1-0 win at home for a 2-1 aggregate victory. Ireland was very lucky to make it this far as Estonia out played the Irish. It was just a matter of class and finishing for Estonia and their manager Michael Woodward. If Woodward had been managing a different team they would have found their way in the group stages. Gg Michael
GG....I was wondering what the heck happened on that Given own goal and had figured, based on how you dribbled back into the box, that you were trying to pick it up.....I was pretty shocked when he passed it into the net. Man, finishing and crossing are SOOOO hard on manual. Both of us had many, many good chances and missed the entire goal. I even had an open goal from a deflection and missed it. We both had numerous 1v1's and could not finish. First game, Ireland had the edge with 11 shots to 8....Estonia had 51% possession....2nd game, Estonia had the edge with 10 shots to 5 but Ireland had 52% possession. Estonia had a whopping 36 tackles in the 2nd game compared to Ireland's 12. Between the games, Estonia averaged a shot accuracy of around 32% while Ireland was around 43%.
France 2-0 England Ribery (50'-PK) Benzema (79')Ribery J. Hart France gets a good start with a win over England. Ribery put his stamp on the game slotting home a penalty and lofting a pretty ball that Benzema headed home with a beautiful diving header.
Poland 1-0 Greece Poland: Lewandowski (48) Obraniak Greece: Papadopoulos (7.90) 9 tackles Karagounis (71) Great game @Pottertons This was the best game we have played against each other and it was very defensive but intense. Good luck with the rest of the tournament
Ireland 3 - 1 Turkey Ireland: Doyle 60'Keane Gibson 71' Toprak (OG) 88' Turkey: Emre 80' Emre After a first half that saw 2 total shots and 1 shot on target, the second half was much more wide open. The first two Ireland goals came off plays where the player who scored hit the post, the ball returned to the shooter and he was able to finish. The third Ireland was already going in the net and in an attempt to clear the ball of the line Toprak roofed the ball and an Own Goal was the determined call. A big win for Ireland to start the Euro campaign. gg hedache One crazy second goal
