I don't understand Chapman's ratings from a * standpoint...
Someone can explain?
When you only have 2 pitches and no stam the game says you are a terrible fit for SP. if you moved him to MR or CL hed shoot up there.
Look at his actual pitch ratings... This similar thing happened to me last year with Falcon. He likely lost tremendous pitch ability and unfortunately his development in '14 doesn't note how his individual pitches are developing.... or dieing
But he didn't die...
His actual pitch ratings are the same.
Sigh... Bunch of damn noobs.
Star ratings are directly related to: Ratings compared to others at that position across the league as well as performance.
So he sucks?
Not at all. Just telling you where the star ratings in our setup come from.
From the manual (yes we are on default)
By default, OOTP overall ratings are based purely on the player's pure ratings, and are not affected by the AI's evaluation of the player. You can change this to Based on AI evaluation if you want overall ratings to be based on the AI's evaluation instead.
So we are on option B?
No we are using the default. Ratings only.
Which is it?
I thought it was stats and ratings. But it is just ratings. My apologies for the confusion. I am 99% sure. Ill have to double check we dont have any other boxes checked there.
If we are including AI evaluation (which I do not think we are) ratings are factored in. Without looking at the game I am not 100% sure, but I dont think we changed this at creation.
So you're under the impression that it's just stats? I always assumed stars were based purely off ratings. Hence the 5* guys who blow at everything but being fast.
No. If we have the AI evaluation enabled that factors in stats.
I dont think we do. So its purely ratings based. By position. Not across the league.
Ahhh ok misunderstood what you were saying then. Yeah that's what I thought. And is why there's so many stud 1* 1B partially.
