S2 Game 11: @ VT (W 33-10) VT has been known for having a top defense year in and year out. And this year is no different. Despite a losing season, the Hokies held the Canes to their lowest offensive output of the season. The Canes could only manage 2 TDs on offense. The rest came from field goals and a defensive touchdown. Miami's offense is looking to rebound as it'll need to have a better game to win at Texas next week.
S2 Game 12: @ Texas (L 13-10) Miami went into Texas with thoughts of national championships in their heads. But they left in defeat. The Canes had chances to win on defense and offense but they were always an inch or two away from making that game changing play. In the end it came down to the fact that the Canes got manhandled all night in the trenches on offense and defense. The lack of a consistent run game was too much for their freshman QB to overcome.
S2 Game 13: vs BC (W 41-10) This was a game of two emotions. Disinterest in the first half, followed by anger in the second. Miami rolled into this game still disappointed that they got knocked out of the BCS Championship by Texas the week before. BC held them to 3 points up until Miami entered it's 2min offense at the end of the half. But then something clicked and the Canes marched down the field. For the rest of the game, the Canes OC abandoned the run, which wasn't working, and spread the field. From then on, the Canes scored on every possession, Dustin Keller was flawless at QB, and Rashawn Scott had a career day at receiver (275 yards & 3 tds). This may be a hint of things to come next season for the Canes depending on how their roster shapes up. After the game, the Miami fans were wondering, "Where was this against Texas?".
S2 Game 14: vs Alabama (W 42-10) Miami picked up right where the left off against BC. Keller was on fire, with 5 total TDs and only 2 incomplete passes all game. All of the seniors played their butts off in their final game. The Canes should finish as a top 5 team once again and will hope to make another BCS championship run next season.
