    Everton 2-0 Sao Paolo

In a make up Match, Everton prevents a dangerous Sao Paolo Team from flexing its offensive muscle. T. Howard records his 4th clean sheet of the Season as Manager HokieNYC, moves up the table with Defense rather than a high powered Offense he was reputed for at Newcastle in Serie B.

    L. Saha's threading pass to T. Cahill and the spin off the Defender opens up the scoring as Cahill slots in a low corner shot passed the hapless goalkeeper. L. Saha doubles the lead in the 2nd Half in a near identical move from the first goal, as Osman was the man feeding the effusive Striker, and he too slots in a low corner shot pass the goal keeper.

The Newcomers from Serie B has proven a tough out for the Serie A opponents, as Everton moves on just below the Serie A Leaders.

    NEWS: Everton 1-0 Werder Bremen

Manager HokieNYC, claims his first Serie A win against a very tough Werder Bremen Team, in a game marked with tenacious defending, Everton finally beats a Werder Bremen's superb goal keeper, as Man of the Match, Fellaini finds L. Saha for the only goal of the Match.

    Everton 2-2 Ajax

In a match marred with delays, Manager IJGator was gracious enough to keep pushing forward, and aside from the delays, Ajax's Hamadoui scores quickly for Ajax, in one could be considered for Goal of The Season Honors, as he whips one from over 32 yards out and beating a surprised T. Howard at the far corner. To give Ajax a 1-0 lead.

Second half proved to be more exciting as L. Baines puts away a penalty kick, for a foul in the box, but the draw was short lived as Hamadoui strikes again, to give Ajax the lead in the 65' minute.

Everton pushes forward, but are unable to break the Ajax Defense, until the waning moments of the match when Osman crosses for the final time and T. Cahill out jumps his Defender to dink the tying goal in the dying seconds. Everton are fortunate to steal a point from Ajax as Cahill celebrates his first goal of the Season.

    Everton 2-4 Spartak Moscow

Everton loses third match of Season. A superb game from Spartak's goal keeper , a Penalty Call against Everton early in the match and the challenge of climbing up the hill became a mountain for the home side. Spartak came out physical and dictated the pace of the match, as Everton found it difficult to break the visiting side's Defense.

Spartak doubles their lead and Everton looks beaten, until L. Saha twirls a defender around a takes one back for the home side right before half time. Second half had Everton beaten on the counter with a great pass and soon Everton was down 3-1. Cahill scraps another goal of a rebound, to make it 2-3 but Eminke puts the game out of reach as the homeside were caught on the counter as they pushed forward looking for an equalizer.

    Everton 3-0 Athletic Club

Everton beats a visting Athletic Club, as M. Fellaini adds his name on the Season score sheet by taking a wayward pass and breaking away for a low corner shot pass a hapless goal keeper. The Game was then delayed, and continued at a later date. The break however was not lucky for Athletic Club as an own goal by GK Iraizoz in the early minute of restart dooms Athletic Club and hands Everton minnows their second scalp in Serie A. L. Osman puts the game away in the last third of the match as Everton goal keeper T. Howard records his 2nd clean sheet of the early Season.

Everton suffers their first defeat at the hands of visiting Stade Rennes, M. Fellaini scores his second goal of the Season, as a poor clearance during a corner gives the midfielder the opportunity to volley in his second goal of the young Season. Unfortunately it was not enough as Stade Rennes manage to score two unanswered goals and holds on for the Win, leaving Everton wondering what might have been.

Everton faces Goliath and comes up victorious. In a match in which Everton found themselves outgunned and outmanned, Bundesliga Giant, FC Schalke got ambushed by the visiting Side. L. Osman opens up the scoring as he luckily finds a poorly cleared cross and manages to beat a Defender and a sliding Schalke keeper and poke in the first goal of the Match. L. Saha puts the match away with a brace and the Everton Defense clamps down on the high powered Schalke Offense.

    Everton 2-1 SC Braga

Everton claims another victory, riding a stingy Defense only allowing visiting Braga, one shot on target. Unfortunately it was a screamer that T. Howard could do nothing about. Howver, a brace from L. Saha proves to be enough to take all three points from a very physical Braga squad that prevented Everton from getting any clean looks on goal. Great assists from both Rodwell and Cahill opened up L. Saha and the striker did not disappoint as he put away his chances.

    Everton 1-2 Aston Villa

Everton comes up short against one of Serie A best sides, as a rue of missed chances dooms Everton to their second loss of the season. in a tightly contested match, Everton was denied twice by the woodwork, as Aston Villa closes out a tightly contested Match. L. Saha adds on to his tally and scores a consolation goal to keep the dying minutes interesting enough, but Aston Villa's experience was too much as they effectively killed off any chances to steal a point.

Fulham clamps down on the Everton Forwards as they come away with three points in a very physical match that was highlighted with a gaff from Everton's Number One who passed the ball to a Fulham player and subsequently put the game away for Fulham. It is the first time Everton was unable to find the bcd of the net in a game filled with hard Defense and even harder tackling.

Everton gives up a late goal to drop two sure point,as PSV fights back to steal a point in a very defensive match, that saw two goal line clearance from PSV to preserve the draw. L.Saha had a chance to take all three appoints in the dying second as Cahill found him open in the middle of the box, but PSV goal keeper proved the better man as he manages to push the ball away for a corner.

Everton drops 5 goals on Werder Bremen, to start a late push for a top 4 finish in Serie A. Werder Bremen were unable to keep pace as goals came flying and both keepers had to be on their best to prevent more opportunities to fill up the stat sheet.

Everton takes the series from Ajax as a three goal out put, a brace from recent 1st Teamer Bilyaletdinov proved too much for Ajax to overcome as Everton records their 5th shut out of the Serie A Season.

Everton unable to hold off Spartak Moscow's potent offense, as an unlucky Penalty call int the 60th minute opens up the flood gates for Spartak as Everton had to push forward to get an equalizer. Everton were unable to finish their opportunities as it was a purely defensive match up to the penally call in the box. Two goals in a span of 4 minutes in the dying second puts away any hope of stealing a point as Everton loses the series to Spartak Moscow.

    Everton vs Aston Villa

In a Match marred by delays and technical difficulty, Everton avenges their Home loss to Aston Villa with a 2-1 Victory. The match was headed for a draw when A. Hutton fouls Cahill outside the box in the waning seconds of the match, L. Baines passes the ball to a streaking J. Rodwell instead of going for goal, and Rodwell found enough space to get a shot off, only for it to hit the post and rebound straight into a rushing Drenthe, as he puts away the winning goal in the final seconds. Aston Villa leaves feeling robbed as they dominated the second half of the match, and Darren Bent found open twice was unable to put away a one v one against Howard and also, managed to put one straight at the post with only Howard to beat. Everton luckily takes all three points.

In a Defensive match neither team could fine the back of the net. As both Goal Keepers proved too much for the poor showing of the Offense. L. Saha failed to find the back of the net on two one on ones as Schalke's keeper kept Everton at bay. Osman low dribbler gets pass the keeper only to miss the far corner by inches. Everton were unable to match their last encounter with any goals. T. Howard records his 6th clean sheet of the match, but both Teams leave the pitch with a deserved point a piece.

Everton takes three points from the homeside as Braga were unable to beat a stellar performance from T. Howard, recording his 7th clean sheet of the Season. The visiting side got the scoring started with a lucky Penalty call from the box, and L. Baines proved worthy of the selection as he beats Quim top corner. L. Baines then turns provider as he finds Fellaini towering over his defender and he cooly nods in the second goal to the opposite corner as Quim dives to try and stop the goal from making it 2-0. L. Saha puts the match away with a stellar run on his own as he drives in a low shot that the Braga keeper was unable to get to finish the Mtch 3-0. T. Howard saves 8 shots on goal as he records his league leading 7th clean sheet.

    Everton 2-2 Stade Rennes

Another Draw for Everton as Stade Rennes wins the Season Series from Everton. Close match all the way, with Everton drawing first blood with a Cahill run into the box firing a low cross shot that hit the post and bounced into the net. A penalty was saved by T. Howard to keep the game even but, Hadji for Stade Rennes equalizes from a header before the end of the first half. Hadji looked like he booked all three points for Rennes when he scored his second goal of the match, but Everton managed to steal a point in the 90th minute as Saha was able to find Cahill in the box, as he nods in the equalizer.

    Everton vs Fulham

In the Last match of the Season, Everton avenges an early Season lose to Fulham, as L. Saha explodes for 4 goals that boosts the Everton striker into the running for the Golden Boot. Everton started slowly as Manager HokieNYC opted to play it safe, but Clint Dempsey proved to be too much in the air as he struck the first blow. Switching tactics, Everton got an equalizer from a cross from J. Rodwell to find a wide open Saha in front of net, leveling the match. During halftime, an offensive switch for an ineffective Bilyaletdinov for the faster Drenthe, proved to be the game changer as the little mid fielder ran rampant all over the bigger, stronger but slower defenders. Four goals later three more from Saha and one from Cahill, and Everton cruises to the end of the Season on a winning Note.

    Everton 2-2 PSV Eidenhoven

Everton ends their series with PSV with a draw, salvaging a point in an evenly contested match. PSV Eidenhoven scored first as they catch a sleeping Everton Defense and forced a double save from Everton's T. Howard only for the third bounce to fall at the feet of PSV, which proved fatal as home side gets a 1-0 lead. They double that lead in the 2nd half on a penalty kick. Everton exacts revenge as Cahill was taken down inside the box, but no Penalty was called, in the confusion Cahill manage to take a shot that was deflected into the net by PSV , with the goalkeeper jumping the wrong way, for a 2-1 match to the home side, Everton then finds the equalizer as Drenthe escapes the Defense, and finds a streaking L.Saha for the 2-2 goal. The match ends in a draw, with L.Saha missing on a header in the waning seconds that could have stolen all three points.

    SEASON ENDS FOR EVERTON:

Manager HokieNYC's first Season in Serie A proved to be a good one, as he manages to guide Everton into a respectable 10-5-6 record against very tough opponents. T. Howard anchored a very good Defenese that allowed only 27 goals all Season, 7 of which came against league leaders Spartak Moscow. L. Saha proved to be a striker to be reckoned with as he posts 15 goals for the season. With 35 points Everton manages to stay in Serie A, potentially finishing in the Top 3 if other results go their way. But will not finish less than the 5th spot if things do not go their way.

".... overall I am happy with how we played, I do not know if I will be staying at Everton after this Season, but I think we made some heads turn this Season, us we minnows, proved a tough out for the Serie A regulars. Look forward to the next Season, thanks to all the Teams out there for making this League very fun, and one day... one day... I'm gonna score more than 1 goal on the slick Shiftee..one day"

    EVERTON MVP :

    Tim Howard GK
    1.2 goals per game allowed
    2 penalty kick saved
    7 clean sheets

    UPDATE:

It's looking like a 3rd Place finish for Everton barring a spectacular run from Fulham, who is the only team left able of taking 3rd place from Everton.
