had to go with Boruc -- b/c there were plenty of times where my defense was breached and Boruc was always in the right spot and making crazy point blank saves -- he literally won me 10 points easy ..esp due to my lack of offensive output -- especially in the first half of the season...even though the GK control is limited in certain situations (corners, fast breaks, PKs or crosses) - somehow he was always in great position or great reflex saves..

Altho i have to say...Camara (and i think Utaka from personally experience) had crazy seasons as well....

It is now up to DrunkenSoldier to decide the Serie C MVP.

    5 votes Boruc
    4 votes Camara
    0 votes Hooper

In the event of a tie, the committee will break the tie, having already voted on the top 5 candidates.

So you're saying in the event of a tie, the voices of the electorate are discarded and the MVP will be decided by judicial fiat?? What kind of banana republic sham Democracy are you running here?? :)

I was expecting a goalkeeper of his caliber (62 overall?) to let in at least every other shot on target. He hasn't. Thus, team MVP.

    Parma MVP Nominee: Sebastian Giovinco
Sebastian Giovinco currently leads Serie C in points (25), assists (12) -- one off the Serie C record -- and is tied for second in goals (13). His 25 points are five more than the number of points earned by the second person on the Points List: teammate Sergio Flocarri (18-2-20).
I nominated Giovinco, not Flocarri, because he was the engine that generated my attack. Yes, Flocarri hit the back of the net more than anyone in Serie C, but he only did so because Giovinco was playing him perfect crosses and through-balls. Of Parma's league-high 41 goals this season, Giovinco impacted 61% of them.
Here are Giovinco's highlights of Season 5:
Matchday 2 v. FC Kobenhavn: Two assists on the first two goals to spark a 4-1 win
Matchday 3 v. RSC Anderlecht: Two assists on the last two goals to secure a 3-1 win
Matchday 6 v. VfB Stuttgart: Game-winning goal and an assist in a 2-0 win
Matchday 7 v. Bolton: Game-winning goal and an assist in a 3-0 win
Matchday 9 v. VfL Wolfsburg: Opening goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss
    Matchday 10 v. Flamengo: Four points (1g, 3a) in a 5-2 win
    Matchday 14 v. Athletic Club: A hat trick and an assist (3g, 1a) in a 4-0 win
Matchday 16 v. Bolton: Two goals and an assist in a 4-0 win
    Matchday 17 v. West Ham: A season-best four goals in a 4-0 win
Looking above, you'll see that Giovinco posted nine multi-point matches during the season, accomplishing the feat against eight of Parma's nine opponents, including Bolton twice.
Sebastian Giovinco is a playmaker, and his 13-12-25 line is more than enough evidence to prove that. He is the leader for a Parma squad that will be promoted to Serie B next season. He's Parma's MVP nominee.

    Stuttgart nominates: Vedad Ibisevic
Bosnian Striker Vedad Ibisevic accounted for nearly half of Stuttgart's goals this season, netting 10 in league play and another 4 in three Coppa matches. He had three multiple-goal games, was named MOTM four times and seems to be the answer to Stuttgart's goal-scoring woes that so badly plagued the team through its first two seasons in the league.

    RSC Anderlecht nominates: Silvio Proto
Proto was the leader of what was (as of this writing) the stoutest defense in all of Serie play. The Anderlecht keeper allowed 0.78 GPG had 11 clean sheets (1st overall in Serie A, B and C) and was instrumental to a team that didn't score many goals winning a Serie title. That is why Silvio Proto is the nominee for MVP from RSC Anderlecht. Also his name is really cool; even if he stunk I would have nominated him because his name is awesome.

Brazilian attacker Ronaldinho lead his team in assists with 8 during the Season 5 campaign, not to mention 5 goals. That made him responsible in one way or another for nearly 60% of all Flamengo goals. He chipped in another two goals and two assists during the Coppa, totalling 17 points total during the season for Flamengo. Known for his dazzling possession skills, he sat behind Vagner Love and Deivid in a CF role that put all play through him in the attacking half. Now if I only could learn some cool juggling skills. I picked Flamengo in the draft because I it would be fun playing with this guy...while a bit slow he didn't let me down.

Mario Mandžukić has been nominated by the ownership of VfL Wolfsburg after having a superb season for the club and helping the team earn a promotion into Serie B in VfL Wolfsburg's debut in the TFS. His leadership was apparent all season long as he was tied for 4th in Serie C for goals scored (12) and also dishing out some assists (2) while also keeping his cool by not earning a single discipline card. He also won Goal of the Year (S5) honors with a beautiful bicycle kick in a match vs. VfB Stuttgart earlier in the season. Mario Mandžukić has earned the right to not only be considered MVP of Season 5 in Serie C but team officials have already made the announcement that he has earned the captain armband for the upcoming Serie B Season 6.

I know we're still waiting for two more nominations, but when will this be put to a vote?
