Wow, what a game. Looks like I better learn to play against the high pressure defenses here in the PL because thats all I saw this game after Zenit was able to get out to an early 2-0 lead. An early Kerzhakov header from the foot of Zyranov found the net early. Soon thereafter Bruno Alves was able to head one into the net on a corner. Man City then cut into the lead as Tevez sliced the back line D in the box and drilled one into the back of the net.
The pressure was high from here on out and Man City had several chances, none moreso than Aguero's PK chance in the 74th minute. Zenit keeper Malafeev guessed the correct way and stoned him cold holding onto the ball.
Zenit was able to hold off somehow despite relentless pressure and some sloppy passing late in the game. GG niuhuskie224 . No way I win this game without those two early lucky goals. I don't know how I held on really.

At first I didn't think the first goal was even in, but when I looked at the replay the ball had just crossed the line before De Gea hit it out. At a 1-0 half I was thinking we were going to have an uncharacteristically low scoring game between us. Well we had 7 goals in the second half. Aguero and Hernandez the golden boot title winners from last year each had goals, with Hernandez getting the better of Aguero with 3 to his 1. Rooney also added 3. To be honest, when I went up 3-2 and you went either attacking or ultra attacking, Huskie made a mistake. While he was almost impossible to stop scoring on those daunting 5-3 attacks it was too easy to score as you can see. GG overall though gg niuhuskie224

Zamora was able to get a cross from Duff and one timed into the defender, as all 3 Liverpool defenders dove/slid Zamora was able to capture the rebound and put it into the back of the net. On one of Fulham 3 corners, Dempsey crossed it inside the PK spot and Zamora went up and over the Liverpool defender to put the header into the back of the near post. A high pressure game that saw Liverpool get some counter chances when the Cottagers had it deep into the zone but they could only get one attacker and run out of real estate for a scoring chance.
Good match ryalaman see you again soon

What a match! From the get go it was fast paced and action packed, in the second minute Dempsey dribbles the ball near the endline and crosses it in while Zamora hits a diving header right at the keeper, inch or so left and it is in the back of the near post net. A lot of missed chances in this game for both teams as they each hit the post at least twice each.
Zamora started it off in the 19th minute after getting a shot blocked, the ball didn't bounce far from Ruiz who assisted Zamora in putting it in. Ruiz would be rewarded from his assist, as he dribble up stopped and spun at the box took another dribble or two and went upper far post for a 2-0 Fulham lead. Chelsea didn't quit as they received a corner in the 35th and Ivanovic put it away to cut the lead in half.
Zamora wouldn't be done, a little give-in-go offense from Dempsey and bending it in the near post to give Fulham back their two goal lead. Drogba found himself in the right place at the right time, after a ball rochet back off the post between a Fulham defender and the goalie, the ball squirted out and he did what he knows best and put it in the net. Zamora would get the final goal of the game, giving him a hat trick as he received a short cross from Duff. He gathered it and struck it into the goal.
good match Jon MK look forward to our next

could catch a break in this one. If it were a game of posts, I would have surely won. Excellent play on both sides of the ball by you, your angles were perfect as they had to be. gg

    Galatasaray (3) v (0) Everton

    :goal: 27' 45' Elmander
    :goal: 90' Baros

Galatasaray enters the season with a win over Howarton. The US international was left out by his team mates to battle Galatasaray's forwards. An unexpected hard shot from outside the box caught him off guard on 27th, and from there on things opened up more for Galatasaray. Hedache back on the sidelines in Istanbul, it was a nice start with a win that he dedicated to the fans who warmly welcomed him before the game.

"It's great to be back home. I've been to great clubs, had great moments, but nothing ever feels like stepping on this field. My heart beats a different way when I am here with these colors. Hope better things will follow."

United was outshot in this game, but still managed to get a huge win. A possible explanation for this is that after United got up 4-0, they sat back and had little attacking chances. They scored every shot that was on target. The stat sheets didn't count the one that hit the post and went in. Zenit had the goal of the game though when Kerzhakov had a breakaway and when De Gea came out he chipped it over the United goalkeeper and in.

I have a shot at you with even teams, but with our current teams, I'm going for a 3 or less goals deficit and I'll be fine.
