    GOALKEEPER
    Julio Cesar - QPR
    [IMG]

The QPR backstop had a league-high 9 clean sheets this season (2 more than anyone else). He was a big part in securing a first-ever promotion for manager BESHIKTAS to the top flight.

HONORABLE MENTION: B. Costil (Stade Rennais), F. Forster (Celtic), P. Tyton (PSV)

    DEFENDERS
    Leonardo Silva - Atl. Mineiro
    [IMG]

The hulking CB (above, left) registered 3 Man of the Match awards this season, tied for the most by a defender in the TFS. He added 2 goals to his tally as well. Playing in Serie C, Silva helped thebouncer24 to promotion in his first full season of competition.

    Jose Angel - Real Sociedad
    [IMG]

The sensational LB for RedAL925 's Real Sociedad was a menace down the flank. He was recognized with 3 Man of the Match awards, and added a goal and 3 assists while shutting down some of the most potent right-sided attackers in TFS A.

    Steve Cherundolo - Hannover 96
    [IMG]

Hannover 96's captain fantastic was solid all year for the TFS A side led by rschwep . With a Man of the Match award, 3 goals and 2 assists, the RB solidified himself in the Best XI early on and never looked back.

    MIDFIELDERS
    Charles N'Zogbia - Aston Villa
    [IMG]

N'Zogbia was an integral part of MiaFLSurf 's success. In his first season of TFS play, the debutant manager finished 4 points off the pace, and he had his CDM to thank. N'Zogbia registered 3 Man of the Match awards, due in large part to his distribution, tallying 9 assists on the season (tied for the TFS C lead with teammate Darren Bent). He also added two goals for good measure.

    Julien Feret - Stade Rennais
    [IMG]

Feret put in an impressive campaign for returning manager juanchoCT14 . A key cog in the Rennes attack, the CAM produced 8 goals and 10 assists, as well as 3 Man of the Match awards.

    Ludovic Obraniak - Bordeaux
    [IMG]

Obraniak was the creative force for Broncos218 attack this season. While the team struggled at times, the CAM did not, registering 3 Man of the Match awards on the back of 10 goals and 4 assists. It's safe to say without the Pole, Bordeaux would have been in big trouble.

    Lucas - Sao Paulo
    [IMG]

The outgoing playmaker for Zikry Sao Paulo squad did it all this season. 2 Man of the Match awards, 11 goals and 12 assists only tell part of the story, as the young Brazilian's tireless defensive work and key passes to spring attacks were also part of his well-rounded game. Despite disappearing for a few matches, there was no doubt he would make the Best XI team.

    Vieirinha - VfL Wolfsburg
    [IMG]

VfL Wolfsburg playmaker Vieirinha was without question the driving force behind LasVegasFC attack. With 20 goals, he accounted for nearly half of the team's scoring output, not to mention the goals he created with his 6 assists. Only two players had more Man of the Match awards that his 5 this season.

HONORABLE MENTION: Y. Belhanda (Montpellier), M. Jarvis (West Ham), S. Sessegnon (Sunderland)

    FORWARDS

    Darren Bent - Aston Villa
    [IMG]

Without a doubt, Darren Bent makes the Best XI for MiaFLSurf Aston Villa side. The talisman had 18 goals, 9 assists, and 6 Man of the Match awards, all tops in TFS C. With a likely MVP award on the way, Bent was the best striker in the league this season.

    Samuel Eto'o - Anzhi
    [IMG]

The Golden Boot winner also makes the team, as Samuel Eto'o led the league with 23 goals for shiftee Anzhi this season. Eto'o was not simply a goal scorer, however, as he added 7 assists to his campaign. Another likely MVP winner, Eto'o was recognized with 5 Man of the Match awards this season.

HONORABLE MENTION: Luis Fabiano (Sao Paulo), A. Carroll (West Ham), D. Cisse (QPR), L. Remy (Marseille), T. Matavz (PSV)

    GOALKEEPER

    Igor Akinfeev
    CSKA Moscow

shiftee and CSKA Moscow tore through the Serie A schedule with surprising ease this season, and the man between the pipes was a big reason why. The team did not give up a goal until Matchday 6, and finished with 12 clean sheets, just 2 shy of the all-time record. Akinfeev was credited with 2 Man of the Match awards, which could have been more if not for the stellar play of his teammate (we'll get to that).

    DEFENSE

    Davide Astori
    Cagliari
    [IMG]

Cagliari's man in the middle helped juanchoCT14 's side to a Serie B title and promotion to the top flight. On a defense that let in 1 goal per game (best in Serie B), Astori won 3 Man of the Match awards to bolster his resume.

    Ron Vlaar
    Aston Villa
    [IMG]
Vlaar made his mark on offense, where he scored 2 goals for MiaFLSurf 's Aston Villa team. Vlaar also recorded 3 Man of the Match awards in his team's promotion campaign.

    Maurizio Domizzi
    Udinese
    [IMG]

@zikry has always been known for a stout defense, and this season was no different. Allowing just 1 goal per game (2nd in Serie A), Maruizio Domizzi was a key cog in the wheel that is solid defending. He scored a goal to go along with his 2 Man of the Match awards.

    MIDFIELD

    Radja Nainggolan
    Cagliari
    [IMG]

@juanchoCT14 's playmaking midfielder was pivotal in both chance creation and goal scoring for Serie B champions Cagliari. The Belgian scored 7 goals and added 7 assists, but most impressively tallied 5 Man of the Match awards.

    Joe Cole
    West Ham
    [IMG]

Oh what could have been... CxMacx10 and West Ham failed to finish their match schedule, but Joe Cole still managed to find his way onto the Best XI roster. 9 goals, 5 assists, and 4 Man of the Match awards were enough to convince the committee that the Englishman deserved to be on the team.

    Romain Hamouma
    AS St-Etienne
    [IMG]

@A_Touch_Of_Class and AS St-Etienne had a breakout campaign in Serie C, going wire-to-wire to win the championship and earn promotion. While a certain striker garnered most of the attention (we'll get to that, too), the wide midfielder played his part on the championship side. With 10 assists, and adding 5 goals for good measure, Hamouma earned 3 Man of the Match awards on the season.

    Ronaldinho
    Atletico Mineiro
    [IMG]

Despite struggling in his 1st season in the 2nd tier, thebouncer24 and Atl. Mineiro managed to stave off the drop, thanks in large part to the legendary Brazilian Ronaldinho. The dynamic playmaker scored 11 goals and added 8 assists for the Serie B debutants. His 4 Man of the Match awards were bested only by R. Nainggolan.

    Giampiero Pinzi
    Udinese
    [IMG]
The unsung hero of Zikry 's Udinese side, Pinzi provided the all-around selfless game that allowed A. Di Natale to do his thing. Pinzi scored 3 goals and tallied 4 assists on the season, good for 4 Man of the Match awards.

    FORWARD

    Seydou Doumbia
    CSKA Moscow
    [IMG]

Making his triumphant return to TFS soccer, Doumbia made quick work of reminding everyone why he was so feared in Season 1...and 2...and 5...and also Season 6. Under the management of shiftee , the speedy Ivorian scored 24 goals and added 7 assists to go along with his Serie A record 6 Man of the Match awards.

    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
    AS St-Etienne
    [IMG]

There was never any doubt about the 2nd forward spot on the Best XI roster. A_Touch_Of_Class and St-Etienne ran through the Serie C schedule with ease, securing promotion very early, and clinching the title on the last day of the season. Aubameyang was easily the biggest reason for their success, as the striker scored 26 goals, best in Season 8. He added 3 assists for good measure on his way to 6 Man of the Match awards.

Loved seeing Astori get the nod. I'm still playing FM12, but he was one of the first players I signed and he's now a stalwart of the AC Milan defense and it defending Serie A player of the year, posting 6+ goals and 6+ assists in each of the 2012-13 and 2013-14 campaigns (and I'm still in 2013-14 season).

I haven't seen him much in real life (No BeIn Sports) but I know he garnered attention in the January transfer window. Hopefully, he'll feature in the Italian WC squad next season.

A weak season for midfielders and a strong one for forwards led to a formation change this season, from the standard 3-5-2 to a more attacking 3-4-3. Here's the team:

    GOALKEEPER

    Stephane Ruffier - St-Etienne
    [IMG]

Leading the league with 12 clean sheets, Ruffier led the backline of the most offensive team in TFS to defensive prowess, allowing only 9 goals all season. Undoubtedly the #1 keeper in TFS this season.

HONORABLE MENTION: D. Benaglio (Wolfsburg), Rui Patricio (Sporting CP)

    DEFENDERS

    Naldo - VfL Wolfsburg
    [IMG]

The hulking centerback recorded 4 MotM awards on the season, best among all TFS defenders. He was a big reason why Wolfsburg were able to earn promotion in the playoffs.

    Franck Beria - Lille OSC
    [IMG]

In a season where Lille did not have the requisite offense to compete for a title, the defense rose to the task. Beria moved up and down the left flank, creating difficulties for attackers, while also keeping opposing defenders busy...his 3 MotM awards are proof of that.

    Steven Reid - West Brom
    [IMG]

Another outside back that shone bright thorughout the season, West Brom's Reid also earned 3 MotM awards on the season.

HONORABLE MENTION: D. Lovren (Lyon), M. Basa (Lille OSC), W. Reid (West Ham)

    MIDFIELDERS

    Joe Cole - West Ham
    [IMG]

The creative engine for the TFSerie champions, Cole did more than just score and create. The ever-present midfielder was spotted all over the field, making key passes, springing his forwards for easy chances, and even adding a sweet strike of his own now and again. The Englishman finished the season with 4 MotM awards, 7 Goals, and 4 Assists.

    Luis Muriel - Udinese
    [IMG]

Udinese tried all sorts of formations this season, but Muriel always found a way to impact the game. With 1 MotM award, 11 Goals, and 5 Assists it didn't matter where he played, as long as he was in the game.

    Ze Roberto - Gremio
    [IMG]

Despite a relatively innocuous statline, Ze Roberto stepped up when his team needed him most. Converting the TFS Coppa-winning penalty kick over Serie A champions West Ham gave the Brazilian the needed push to earn Best XI honors. 3 MotM awards, 2 Goals, and 6 Assists aren't so bad either.

    Renaud Cohade - St-Etienne
    [IMG]

The rock in the midfield of St-Etienne's powerful offense, Cohade provided on both ends of the field, disrupting play for the oppositon, while adding a spark in attack. His 4 Goals & 6 Assists were good for 2 MotM awards on the season.

HONORABLE MENTION: M. Jarvis (West Ham), M. Gradel (St-Etienne), Z. Labyad (Sporting CP)
