I did. So, so, so glad I never need to watch ESPN ever again (except a couple college football games I guess, and MNF by necessity)

The second and third hours last night were significantly better than the first, when they cut down the amount of time at the "roundtable". These two were the lead anchors on sportscenter on TSN for over a decade; they know what they're doing,

yeah, the roundtable stuff is something I could live without. Unless they have someone like Bill Simmons who can crack a joke.

Yeah Jay & Dan are the stars of the show. Can't wait for Hockey season!

The roundtable. Awful. Andy Roddick seemed lost, the glove oh boy. Charissa eh.

I tried to pick a team randomly and it didn't work out. I picked Chelsea, literally out of a hat, then HATED them when I started watching.

Watch games and you'll gravitate toward a team. For me it was Liverpool (in spite of their Boston Red Sox owners, who I hate) as a "big" club. They're relatively down so I wasn't bandwagoning. I was already leaning toward them when they played Arsenal two years ago and went down 1-0 in stoppage time on a TERRIBLE PK call. Instead of pouting about it they went down the field and tied it up. That sealed it for me.

Today, I'm probably a bigger West Ham fan though, for many of the same reasons. They were just promoted last season, so they were near the bottom of the bandwagon teams list. And they were competitive (or outright beat) many of the bigger clubs early in the year last year. Before the first West Ham Liverpool game last year I anticipated that I'd be rooting for Liverpool, but when the game started I completely gravitated to West Ham.

I still like them both. And love Suarez.

Newcastle United man! Don't even doubt. You can't go wrong with Black&White

He did say he didn't want a club that would play around with relegation. Mike Ashley would rather see us playing in the npower league 2 while making millions. Also Joe Kinnear is back. Ew. The TOOOOOON.

I was on the Newcastle bandwagon two years ago. Even at the beginning of last year. But that team is in trouble. Stay clear.

We will get a Europa League place! I dream of Champions League, only if the board was fully behind Pardew

Even though I'm an Arsenal fan, I think Tottenham is your choice for the simple fact that the nearest bar is a spurs bar. Plus you can watch every game on NBC if you can't make it to the bar

Yeah, but you can watch EVERY game on NBC, not just the big clubs. Comcast has every game from the opening weekend on demand. It's unreal.

Oh snap. I need to look this up on Uverse. I can watch the games on the computer, but it's just not the same vs. a big TV.

The bar proximity is the clincher for me. Having done that for the 1st time last season, it was a really cool experience, one that I wish I could do more often (yay suburbia)

Yeah, it's a great little Irish pub. The owner is the friendliest guy ever and has a fantastic accent. He pretty much just runs the little place by himself. Didn't go this morning, so I have no idea what kind of atmosphere they have, particularly at 7am. But I could throw a baseball from my front door to the place, so that would be pretty sweet.

On demand -> sports and fitness (or outdoors, something like that) -> Premier League -> game replays

So I can't confirm, but it appears Uverse has the equivalent of Sunday Ticket for the Premier League. Apparently, on Saturday morning, a few of the alternate channels show EVERY Premier League game live. This would be amazing, but I can't validate it anywhere on the net.

Yeap, I know Direct TV has it as well. Every game live. You can also catch a game online through the NBC Sports Network live extra. Sadly TWC sucks so I only get one game at a time.

It was in Boston, place called Lir on Boyleston St. The only CT soccer bar I know of is Damon's in West Hartford

The only real soccer pub in Charlotte is downtown called Courtyard hooligans. However, I think it just shows all of the games instead of one specific team!!
