No one deserves to be nominated from QPR! Such a terrible season for them!

If I really really have to - I will nominate Samba who helped to get 9 damn draws ! :)

JOE COLE - CAM - WEST HAM UNITED
    [?IMG]
Though balance was certainly the key to all of West Ham's success, Joe Cole was always able to stand out in every match. Though just 4th on his own team in scoring (7 Goals and 4 Assists), the league's best offense went through Cole nearly every time down the pitch. He possesses a vast array of skills. Whether it was shooting, dribbling, or passing he was always giving his teammates the best opportunity to attack the goal. The attention he commands in the middle of the pitch undoubtedly attributed to the team's strikers' ability to get one on one match-ups and put up goals (27 goals from the 2 forwards in front of him). His ability to strike from long distances forced defenders to be aggressive witch opened up space for their best creator on the wing in Matt Jarvis. Jarvis had a resurgent season, leading the club in points, due to the attention Joe Cole had to receive. A lot of what Joe Cole does is not measured with the numbers. He was the captain of the best team in the league. He earned 4 "Man of the Match" honors despite not putting up godly goal and assist totals. Without him, this team's success is not possible.

Antonio Di Natale (ST) - Udinese
Anytime MVP Nominations come around there is only one man that Udinese managers, regardless of who they are, will nominate, and that is Antonio Di Natale. The man simply does it all, both on and off the pitch. At 35 years of age, Toto has proven that age is but a number as the club captain once again was able to notch double digits in both goals and assists; being the only player in ALL of Serie play to accomplish the feat. Di Natale scored 14 goals this season while also adding 10 assists to his name. He was also able to match the league lead in MoTM awards with 5; further showing his absolute importance in everything having to do with Udinese's relative success.

Franck Beria (LB) - Lille OSC

In a season where Lille could not generate the necessary offense to win games, the defensive unit stepped up to the challenge, keeping Les Dogues in almost every game played this season. With plenty of options, Lille has elected LB Franck Beria as team MVP for TFS Season 9. The fleet-footed fullback ran rampant down the wing, getting forward with good effect, even scoring a goal. His tied-for-the-team-high 3 MotM awards proved how valuable he was to Lille this season.

    SAMUEL ETO'O
    ANZHI MAKHACHKALA
    Striker

Samuel Eto'o Footballer, Captain, and Community All-Star

    9 Goals
    13 Assists (TFS high)

Tough to choose between Anzhi's two-headed monster of Eto'o and Traore, but ultimately Eto'o was the one who's dynamic play put more of a stamp on the team's success this past season. Along with 9 goals, Eto'o lead all of TFS with 13 assists, 3 more than any other player. His playmaking ability was vital in securing Anzhi's 4th-place finish this season and the club would have suffered without him. VOTE ETO'O!

    WELLITON (ST) - GREMIO

    Season 9 Stats

    23 Goals (league lead)
    7 Assists
5 MOTM Awards (tied for league lead)
There is no doubt who will be representing Gremio for the Season 9 MVP nomination. Welliton put the team on his shoulders and carried them from the bottom half of the table all the way up to a 2nd place finish. His league leading 23 goals and 7 assists saw the Brazilian hitman have a hand in 30 of the teams 39 total goals for. Welliton also was awarded 5 MOTM honors, which was tied for the league lead. Game in and game out he would find a way to make a contribution to the result, be it scoring a timely goal or providing a pass, he also created space for his teammates when he did not have the ball at his feet because he usually was the primary focus for most defenses.

    MICHU-SWANSEA CITY
    [?IMG]
Not too many things went well for Swansea in Serie A this season but the cool and calm play of Michu with 9 goals and 4 assists gave the team something to lean on.
The team overperformed in the Coppa reaching the SemiFinals but lacked consistency and fell short in the league with too many close games not going their way.
With the sacking of their manager Swansea hopes to one day fight amongst the big boys once again. Likely that Michu will be the player to make it happen.

Just realized that we switched clubs in the draft. Good luck with Corinthians. Pretty fun team.

    GOMIS! GOMIS! GOMIS! GOMIS!!

This dude was a straight up beast for Lyon this season. That man that made it all happen and it did it in so many different ways. He scored goals via headers, long shots, and volleys. The pinnacle moment for Gomis came against CxMacx10 leading 2 - 1 late in the game vs. the Serie A champ, Gomis came through with 1 goal and 2 assists. He put a precision chipped pass over the defensive line in perfect position for Lopez to seal the win.

What a season this young man had. Gomis is Lyon MVP after securing a top 5 finish is IJgator's return to Serie A.

    Ron-Robert ZIELER
Coming off of some atrocious defensive seasons, Hannover knew improvement had to come from the back end, and that it did. While the change was certainly a total team effort, Zieler can be the man most responsible. Tied for second in the league with four clean sheets, and tied for sixth in MOTMs with three (which led H96), Zieler was a stalwart for Die Roten. The ultimate sum up: H96's goals against/game was 1.35 in season 9. The two seasons before? 1.78 (S8) and a ghastly 2.65 in S7.
