Despite GK Rui Patricio's 11 clean sheets, Sporting Lisbon nominate ST Ricky van Wolfswinkel. The Dutchman led the league in both goals (13) and assists (7), and enjoyed a run of especially high form in the middle of the season when Sporting pulled away from Getafe and West Brom in the league table.

Borussia Monchengladbach nominates CB Martin Stranzl. While he doesn't have the flashy numbers, he was a rock in the back 4, leading BMG to the 3rd lowest GAA, leading the Coppa in clean sheets, keeping the area clear in front of ter Stegen, and did so without picking up a yellow card all season.

Maxi Moralez scored nine goals and had four assists, finishing second in Serie C in points and tallying nearly all of his points in the second half of the season when Atalanta gathered 16 points in their final six contests to earn the final promotion spot.

After starting the season with no goals in their first three games, Atalanta finally found its stride when Maxi found his. The skilled 5'3" striker was able to maneuver defenses and partnered with Denis to create a formidable attack that put Atalanta on its incredibly run to Serie B and the TSO Premier Cup title.

I was really hoping for a Miccoli nod in your last season bud, pushed hard to get him into the top 3

Suppose I should add the process for the new guys...

You nominate one player from your team for MVP. We take all the nominees and a small panel consisting of the 3 commissioners, and 1 representative from each league will vote for their top 5. We take the top 3 from those results, and put them up for vote here.

    RW Gerard Deulofeu

Where to start, 2nd in assists with 8, had a league leading 25 goals and 12 MOTM. He was involved in 90% of the scoring for the season. Led Barça B to 13 wins and promotion to Serie B.

    CTfromDC and YNWA96 like this.

    YNWA96 2 Star Recruit

    CF/CAM/LM/RM Gaston Ramirez

Saints utility player lead his club to a 2nd place finish in Serie C. He lead all Saints in scoring with 11 goals in all competitions (8 league goals). He chipped in 3 assists and set up a number of others. 3 MOTM nominations. Served as Saints FK specialist as well as being responsible for our corner kicks. He's the main reason why Saints finished the season so strongly and find themselves with an opportunity for promotion. Oh, he also scored goals with his left foot, right foot and his head- very balanced footballer.

    CM Christian Eriksen

Ajax's lead man led his team to a third place finish. He finished second on the team for scoring and first in assists. He finished second among MOTM honors in the league only behind Deulofeu. He was a pivotal part of Ajax's strategy and when he played well the team did as well.

I'll nominate Alessandro Diamanti for Bologna... HE wasn't the biggest scorer for my squad (5 goals) and he only had 3 official assists, but he was instrumental in making it at least an exciting season on the peninsula.

I was having a hard time scoring with my previous team, so I went with an aggressive 4-3-3 lineup and moved my most talented player out wide hoping he'd draw defenders out and open more scoring opportunities with his expert passes... Mission Accomplished somewhat. I wanted to applaud him for that as Bologna showed a pulse late in the season.

But who we kidding. This award's is Deulofeu's to lose.
