    Newcastle 1 @ QPR 2

    Newcastle:
    :goal:Ben Afra 79’

    QPR:
    :goal:Cisse 6’
    :goal:M’Bia 51’
    :trophy:Fabio 8.4

Fairly even game in terms of possesion. A good ball off of a free kick allowed Wright-Phillips to find some space and send a nice cross to the back post where Cisse' hammered it home for QPR's first goal of the season. The game took a major shift when Ba was trampled in the penalty are. Julio Cesar was able to come up with a huge penalty save for QPR in what made the difference in the game. A nicely placed corner by Park found M'Bia in the center of the box, who was able to easily finish with his head. THings got tight when Ben Afra was able to rocket one into the upper corner. Newcastle had a couple of more chances but in the end QPR was able to hold a little possession in Newcastle half with a few corners until the final whistle.

    Everton 1-0 Tottenham

    Everton
    :goal: Pienaar (34) :assist: Fellaini
    :trophy: Fellaini 9.5

Good game Virulentmeteor5 . Was a very even match, but neither team could put a shot on target. Tim Howard was forced to make 1 save and Lloris only made 1 out of 2 shots on target as well. Pienaar scored on a nice diagonal ball from Fellaini in the middle of the defense, and was able to rifle a shot past Lloris. Miralles would come down about 7 minutes later and rock the far post with a shot before Spurs could get it cleared. Tottenham came out firing in the 2nd half though and put some pressure on us, but we were able to possess the ball just enough to keep it out of the back of our net.

    Schalke 04 (0) - (1) Liverpool

    Schalke 04:
    :yellowcard: 38' Uchida
    :goal: 63' Matip (OG)

Liverpool opens the season with a hard earned win over Schalke 04. Liverpool failed to capitalize a few chances they found until the 63rd where Allen sent in a long ball into the box where Assaidi volleyed it only to hit the crossbar, ball dropped in the 6, defense trying to clear in panic, an unfortunate bounce was the game decider. Schalke had their couple chances when they started desperately going forward in the last 10 minutes. Liverpool survived the storm and started the season with 3 points.

    Bayern Leverkusen 1 - 1 Borussia Dortmund

Quite an interesting game here as Bayern look dangerous coming out of the gate. Manager shootah66 gave his squad freedom in space, and Schurrle made the most of it driving a ball on goal in the ninth minute, Weidenfeller got a lot behind the shot but deflected it into the goal. Dortmund then settled down quickly and began chipping away at a very narrow Leverkusen defense, but finished the first half with only one shot on target out of seven. The second began the same as the first half ended. Manager Jon MK made a decision to put more fire power on the pitch by switching Sven Bender out for Ivan Perisic. He turned into a super sub in the 83rd minute by putting away a ball from close range. Dortmund finished with 7/19 shooting to Bayerns 5/7. The stat box shows a game well in hand by the away side but the score shows a point split by both squads in the end. Well played shootah66, I'm very impressed with your performance.

I was also supposed to be the home team for this match so we will just switch up for the next match. Reminder to honor home-field advantage y'all.

    Everton 3-2 Bayer Leverkusen

    Everton

    :goal: Osman (21)
    :goal: Jelavic (82) :assist: Fellaini

    Bayer Leverkusen
    :goal: Schurrle (38) :assist: Kiebling
    :goal: Schurrle (48) :assist: Bellarabi

    :trophy: Schurrle 8.2

Jelavic's first goal came after he read a square pass out of the back line, and it bounced off his knee and into the back of the net. Osman scored 4 minutes later after a Leverkusen player slid in the way of a pass, but the ball bounced right into Osman's path and he slotted it past the keeper to make it 2 nil early on.
Tim Howard fell asleep for a stint in the middle minutes of the game, allowing Schurrle to beat him twice. Once he beat him to the near post from about 12 yards out, and on the 2nd one he was beat from about 28 yards out to tie the game at 2-2. After a flurry of chances from Leverkusen, Jelavic was able to break in behind the defense on a nice chip from Fellaini and rifled a beauty past the keeper. Leverkusen had the majority of the chances outshooting the Toffees 13 (4) - 7 (3), but Everton had the lion's share of possession at 55/45. Good match shootah66 .

What a game is all I can say. First goal came on a quick break where Lewandowski sent one back across the box to Reus who put it in over Tim Howard. A blown penalty kick followed Kehl kept the game at 1-0 into the half. Second half was evenly matched, Weidenfeller made the save of the year coming back to stop a rebound on Fellaini's foot that was a wide open goal. Another similar opportunity popped up but BVB's D got a foot in the way and kept it at 1-0 for the away side. An interception in the middle third turned into a quick counter where Reus put a ball through to Gotze for a one on one against Tim Howard. Gotze kept his cool and slotted it to his right into the far corner of the onion bag. Everton then stepped it up in the 68th minute, Fellaini put one away from very close range. BVB felt the pressure for the final 20 minutes and take three points against a very tough opponent. GG Timpegoose, I look forward to our next match.

Great game RynoAid. Lille had control of the first half in terms of possesion and shots on goal. Leverkusen made a slight adjustment in the second half and was able to get off a good amount of shots.. However RynoAid goaltender and defense was extremely tough to beat. Finally the breakthrough goal came on a breakaway courtesy of a chip pass over the top of the defense. Kiebling one on one with the goalie was able to capitolize and put it in the back of the net. Lille would not go away quietly and had a few chances that just missed. Overall a fun game. gg again RynoAid

hedache good game, tough defensive battle that was initially a 1-0 game for Spurs via a stolen ball by Bale that he then turned into a magnificent shot. Liverpool were not going to be denied and scored the equalizer in the 86th min in what was essentially the same fashion as Bales goal.

This team heavily relies on Suarez to perform, and he did tonight. It was mostly a game that both sides tried to control the game. Not a lot of chances but some key ones for both sides to take it away. Especially when Taraabt who seemed to be offside when the pass was delivered hit outside of the post from the pk slot on a 1 on 1 where Reina seemed desperate. Minutes later Borini found Suarez with a long through ball right outside the box who chipped it over the Brazillian star Cesar watching the ball go over him without any hope of reaching it. There was nothing he could have done. Liverpool defense showed sloppiness as usual but were able to get away with the 3 points. KoG CHEESEDIP appeared to have his QPR side ready for competition. This team will be pulling some surprises out of the hat, whatever that means... :)
