Bayern Munchen 1 - CSKA Moscow 1 13 Shots 136 On Target 844% Possession 56%22 Tackles 201 Fouls 20 Corners 4 31' Gomez68' MusaRiberyMuller
A pretty aggressive, non-controlling the ball on the pitch for both of these clubs today. Whether it would be a nice combo by Bayern to get up the pitch and lose possession or CSKA trying to be too fast with the ball and end with a missed opportunity. Gomez put a header on a nice early cross from Ribery on a smaller CSKA defender. Musa would tie the game after he took a long distance pass off the foot of a Bayern defender, almost was tracked down and went with a strike to the right of the keeper to knot the match at 1-1, where it would end.
Good game shootah66
Manchester City - 2
Real Madrid - 0
Kompany - 9.9
A good game at Madrid. City started the scoring in the 20th minute, when an arrant throw was scooped up by Tevez and shot on net. The bounce went to a Madrid player but Aguero was able to slide in at the ball 2 feet off the goal line and deflect it in for the 1-0 lead.
In the 63rd, a corner kick that went right to Lescott went off the near post and in for the 2-0 lead.
Madrid would have there share of chances but were unable to convert the goals they need.
City moves to 1-0-0 on the season and looks ahead to their next match Newcastle United or Celtic.
Games captured. 2 of 15 done for Week 1
Man City - 1
Newcastle - 1
Y. Toure - 72
Coloccini - 3
Coloccini - 8.7 (How this wasn't your keeper is beyond me. 10 shots on target, 9 saves, 18 total shots. My goodness)
What a game. Newcastle comes out with a corner kick and gets an early goal and then it was just up and down for both sides with no results. In the 72nd Toure puts a shot into the upper left corner from the corner of the box to tie it at 1.
In the 90th, City had 2 BREAKAWAYS!!! but could not get a goal on either. Teves was run down on the first, and on the second, Aguero held the ball a second to long and couldn't get past the Newcastle goalie.
Captured to here.
3 of 15 complete. Great job everyone.
1 Arsenal v Borussia Dortmund 0
Laurent Koscielny 43' Serge Gnabry
Santi Cazorla 9.0
Nothing to report
1 Goals 013 Shots 57 Shots on Target 245% Possession 55%19 Tackles 230 Fouls 27 Corners 1 This was a closely contested matchup which saw the only different being a corner which Arsenal headed in. In the 54th, Borussia Dortmund had a breakaway after Arsenal's defender made a VERY poor and VERY soft pass back to the goalie from half field. Marco Reus ran onto it and was off the races but Wolciech Szczesny came out and made himself big and stopped the near post shot. In the 56th, it looked as if Lewandowski was going to get a shot from fairly close range after a nice turn but an Arsenal defender did a great job of sliding in front of him to deflect it out for a corner. In the 76th, a corner fell to Koscielny again but his shot from about the PK spot was too close to Weidenfeller who saved it nicely. Late in the game, Lukas Podolski got a breakaway but missed the whole goal on the 1v1. In the 90th, Santi Cazorla also got a breakaway but hit it too close to Weidenfeller who made a good save. It looked as if Podolski would get redemption moments later when Arsenal stole the ball and sent a through ball which likely would have saw him off to the races but the ref blew the whistle for the game and it ended 1-0. GG eheskey11 Unlucky not to get something from the match.
Almost a third of the way done after one day. Awesome.
Spurs 4 - 2 Newcastle
Cabaye (i thiink)
dont remember assists for newcastle
The game started with spurs moving the ball around the back four and newcastles midfield winning the ball everytime tottenham got forward this led to a good long range shot from ben arfa who finished with his right foot. After being stifled multiple times the spurs finally found room on the wing where dembele got a good cross in for adebayor to head home. 1-1. Again the spurs found space outside where holtby put a lazy layoff pass that somehow found huddlestone who powered it home from about 12 yards out. At this point Lloris was put under alot of pressure and finally caved in about the 70th. (dont really remember the goal sorry) 2-2. In the dying minutes the spurs refused to be beaten and with a dempsey FK and a Dembele volley the scoreline ended 4-2.
niuhuskie224 - i hope this was a better write up even though it was posted a day after the game
JFace907 - gg man only thing is im glad dempsey made you pay for moving the wall and putting a man on the near post. But it was a good position for bale to curve it around the default wall so you did what you had to do i guess. If you could help me out on who scored your second and who had your assists it would be greatly appreciated
I cannot recall who assisted Ben Arfa's goal, but Cabaye's goal came from a Tiote strike that hit the crossbar down to Cabaye. I'd imagine he'd get the assist.
Why are you posting from memory instead of looking writing it down directly from the screen? lol
playd last night and went immediately to bed
CSKA Moscow 2 - Man U 0
Disconnected and pig said to record it.
Either Vagner Love or Doumbia scored the 2nd. I think it was Love.
1 Bayern Munich v Arsenal 3

Abou Diaby 27'
Olivier Giroud 47'
Lukas Podolski 71' Olivier Giroud
Laurent Koscielny 9.5
1 Goals 39 Shots 224 Shots on Target 949% Possession 51%19 Tackles 152 Fouls 20 Corners 4 This was a game full of bad luck and mistakes for both teams which led to goals. Arsenal started off the haplessness in the 4th minute when a ball was launched deep toward Mario Mandzukic, the ball bounced and it looked like 6'6" Per Mertesacker was going to be able to win the header and head it away but the big German missed letting the Croatian take off down the line. Mandzukic crossed from the byline toward the middle where he found Schweinsteiger at the PK spot for a volley. The volley was saved by Szczesny but straight toward Ribery for a close range blast into the corner. 1-0 Munich early. In the 26th, Lukas Podolski cut in against his former team before ripping it from the edge of the box toward the near post but Manuel Neuer was able to get down for it and knock it out for a corner. On the resulting corner, Thomas Eisfeld found Mertesacker nicely but the German headed it over from point blank range unguarded. In the 27th, it was Bayern Munich's turn to be hapless when Abou Diaby got the ball and faked the shot to get some space before striking it low and hard for the far post from the top of the semi circle. The ball caromed off the post, came back and hit Manual Neuer in his back as he was diving for the save before bouncing back into the goal off Neuer's back. Probably should have been ruled an own goal but alas Diaby was given credit. Bayern nearly equalized a minute later when Mario Gomez got down the line before crossing toward the PK spot. Mandzukic was waiting for it uncovered and headed it but it was too close to Szczesny and the great chance was blown. In the 33rd, Podolski cut in again and let rip, this time from about 28 yards out but again Neuer was able to save it out for a corner. The ball appeared to be going just wide though. At the half, it was 1-1. Arsenal had many shots but many of them were terribly executed. In the second half, Arsenal took the lead early in the 47th through more mistakes by Munich. The ball was sent over the top to Giroud who one timed it from the 6 but somehow Neuer saved it from point blank. It came back to Lahm but as he tried to quickly clear, Dante ran infront of him and blocked it straight to Olivier Giroud as he knocked Lahm down leaving Giroud with a tap in from about 8 yards out. 2-1. Munich should have equalized in the 53rd when Franck Ribery received a ball at the top of the box and brought it down before ripping it passed a sliding Jernade Meade. The ball skidded toward the far post but Szczesny got down to knock it away from goal for Koscielny to clear. In the 71st, Arsenal made it 3-1 on the only deserved goal of the day when Olivier Giroud spotted Podolski making a nice run and played it over the top onto his path from about 35 yards away. The German got just a few steps behind the Austrian David Alaba and controlled quickly at the top of the semi circle before turning and running for the 1v1 which he slotted cooly under the sliding Manuel Neuer. Arsenal could have had 4 when Neuer was forced to chase a ball well outside the box before booting it straight to Olivier Giroud but the Frenchman's first touch was dreadful and it ricocheted to a Munich player before Giroud could kick it to the open goal. The game really should have been 1-1 because of the awful mistakes on two of the Arsenal goals but then again, Arsenal missed a lot of shots and a few of them were bunnies. Nevertheless, it was a good game and Munich can feel aggrieved not to have a point. GG shootah66
Halfway through week 1.
Keep it up guys.
Man City - 3
Celtic - 2
Tevez - 15, 55
Aguero - 87
Samaras - 18, 63
Samaras - 9.8
First off, Great Game KoG CHEESEDIP A solid effort from both sides as every time City scored, Celtic has the quick answer. Tevez scored first when he got loose in the middle and was able to fire one in from the Penalty dot for the 1-0 lead. Celtic would come back 3 minutes later with a lob in from the side and tie the score at 1.
Tevez would open the second half scoring with a sharp angle shot that went in off the far post to give City the 2-1 lead but Celtic would not quit as 6 minutes later Samaras would get loose in the same spot Tevez did for his first goal to tie it at 2.
With under 10 to play, each side had there chance to score, and Aguero who had 9 shots, 5 on target was finally able to burry one after getting free for a break and potting the winner at 3-2.
Celtic 1 - 1 Tottenham
I forgot i was the away team and again am posting from memory sorry wont happen again and this will definitely be my last non-detailed match report as i am getting my laptop back and wont have to run back and forth between computer and TV.
GG KoG CHEESEDIP.
Game could have gone either way really. Celtic made great use of the wings consistently getting by both bale and walker. Lloris played a hell of a game and probably caught as many crosses as the celtic keeper had saves. Neither team could really find that final ball and really open up the defense. Tottenham goal came from a foul on dembele in the box which dempsey finished the PK (kinda controversial call) and celtic's goal came from a well headed knock on that found browns feet who made an amazing shot that found the side netting. Good finish under pressure for the celtics captain as kaboul was making a strong challenge right as the ball left his foot.
Very good game with varied build up for both teams. The crowd got to see good midfield play, exciting dribbling, creative 2 man attacks, and solid defensive positining from both squads

Jon controlled the first half, the late goal gave us the bounce back to the game and we started to play a bit better. Chelsea deserved at least a goal in the first half, afterwards it was a bit more balanced.
Going back to sleep now lol

1 Goals 47 Shots 203 Shots on Target 1248% Possession 52%18 Tackles 364 Fouls 11 03 Corners 5 This was a tale of two teams on opposite ends of the form scale. Arsenal was on form, hitting passes and crosses and putting shots on target. Meanwhile, Chelsea was a bit off all around and it showed in the stat line. Also, two early goals by Arsenal seemed to make Chelsea forget their style of moving the ball as they resorted to dribbling frequently which rarely got by Arsenal defenders. Arsenal nearly got on the board in the 3rd minute when Olivier Giroud had his shirt pulled not far from the half field line which led to a free kick. Kieran Gibbs swung it in and Jack Wilshere rose up to head it toward the corner but Petr Cech was able to save it and hold it. However, Arsenal would get their goal one minute later when Gervinho received the ball and ran down the left flank before crossing toward the near post where Olivier Giroud dove onto it nicely, heading it into the ground so that it bounced under Cech's arm and up into the top right corner. In the 7th, almost the exact same scenario except Gervinho saw Podolski ahead of his man streaking toward the far post behind two Chelsea defenders who were attracted to Giroud. Gervinho placed it into the perfect spot and Podolski rose up just before Ashley Cole could get there with his head as he was running in to recover. Podolski headed it nicely into the far corner for a goal. Chelsea almost got one back in the 19th when a pass skipped inches away from Vermaelen's legs to Oscar who was off for the 1v1 from an angle. As Koscielny slid in to try and block it, Oscar opened his body and tried curling for the far post but it was a bit too close to Szczesny who made the save. In the 36th, Podolski added another on a mistake by the Chelsea backline. A pass back to Petr Cech with Podolski not far away got Cech into some trouble. Instead of clearing immediately, the keeper took a few quick touches with Podolski bearing down on him and appeared to be trying to cut around Podolski but may have been attempting a pass with the outside of his left. Either way, Podolski read it and took it to score an easy goal on the open net. In the 45th, Arsenal had a corner which was headed out toward the top of the box where Gervinho was waiting. The Ivorian tried to place the volley into the corner but Cech dove to bat it out for another corner which led to nothing. In the 50th, Chelsea got one back when a ball found Oscar. It looked as if Keiran Gibbs was going to fight him off the ball and take it but Gibbs won it just enough to hit it out infront of Oscar and the Brazilian got away before crossing toward the near post to Demba Ba who headed it around Szczesny. Arsenal would make the deficit 3 again in the 53th when some quick passes found Podolski with a through ball for a 1v1. The German fought off some shirt tugging by Ivanovic before using some cuts to throw off Cech who first started to charge but then backed up toward goal. Podolski then opened and fired toward the right corner with his right for the hat trick. In the 80th, Jack Wilshere nearly scored when he got the ball near the top of the box and used a shot fake to split two Chelsea defenders before firing for the near post from close range but Petr Cech made a great save to deny him. A similar play moments later with Andrey Arshavin led to the same result and it finished 4-1. Arsenal will have to be on their A game again next time vs Chelsea as Jon MK will surely have his troops fired up for blood and revenge. GG

I will do what I can to keep up on this. If anyone can help, let me know.
Just thinking about the tackle on Lewondowski. It was timed to perfection. I was so focused and sure of a good shot that i didn't even notice him coming in. Great challenge and a good game.

- M.Schmelzer (8.9, with Newcastle's Coloccini coming in close with an 8.8)
As the stats suggest, it was a fairly even match. Both goals probably could have been avoided after a poor attempt to defend the cross which fell to a wide open Subotic in the middle of the box, for the little diving dink of a header which made it 1-0. Thsi was swiftly followed up by yet another unfortunate goal where a great Weidenfeller save was parried into the path of the oncoming, wide open Cabaye.
A great match which Dortmund will look forward too in the return fixture.
Bender takes a great shot which was equally met with a fantastic save by Krul. Great match JFace907

Dortmund came out with all guns blazing at the very start of the match. Lewondoski and gotze each had the opportunity to combine for a 2 - 0 lead within the first 10 minutes of the match. However, Lewondoski's aim was still a bit on the cold side, and Gotze's attempt was blocked at close range just inside of the 18 yard line by Iker Casillas who intelligently saw the danger early and rushed out to stop any easy chances from the break.
The scoreline suprisingly went in favour of the away side in the 19th minute when Hummels made a legit standing challenge inside the box, which the ref somehow saw as a penalty. Even after replays, the wealth of fans in the 80,000 capacity stadium were stunned and baffled by the call and Ronaldo sent the keeper the wrong way to put away the shot from the spot...
Dortmund weren't to stumble though as they were confident of their play so far, and the scoreline was finally equalized in the 22nd minute as the man who's all over the front pages at the moment, drew at least 3 defenders towards him in the box; but the soon to be Bayern Munich player, Mario Gotze, used his nifty footwork to hold up play long enough to use his vision and square the ball to an open Lewondowski at the far side of goal making it 1-1.
10 minutes later Marco Reus was on the attack, and just as he approached the keepers box, he was swarmed by the Los Blancos but unfortunately, the ball bobbled off of one of the Madrid players into open space where Lewondowski again, was there to clean up the mess. 2-1 for Dortmund.
Second half saw chances from both sides, but it was definitely Dortmunds day.
Good Game ConiglioSG
That is a beaut of a header.
