French outfit, Marseille hand Aston Villa their first loss of the season with a 90th minute winner by Giannelli Imbula. This was a tough match in which the majority of the action took place in the centre of midfield. Both clubs looked to establish the middle of the park and looked to their fullbacks to create 2 v 1 opportunities on the flanks. Bertrand and Rod Fanni both had excellent games, bombing up the flanks to join the attack. In the end, it was Imbula who started a late move with a crunching tackle, kept his run going and was fortunate enough to put away second ball off a Pierre-Gignac header.
