    Fantasy Football - Tradition Style

I'm wondering who would be interested in joining a Fantasy Football league. Here is what I am thinking:

    Price: $25
I can set up a paypal account for signing up for the league. It will be easy and secure for you guys to pay. You will then recieve the password and id for a yahoo sports pool. We'll agree to a draft time/day that everyone can make and have just one more reason to check the forum every day.

Depending on how many join, there would be prizing for 1st, 2nd and maybe 3rd.

We can decide on scoring, positions, etc. all together. Anyone interested?

People were trying to get a college fantasy league going but nothing really happened with it.

I'd be down for this if its NFL.

    Definitely NFL...

I'm thinking it would be cool to set it up with playoffs too... I've only been in one NFL pool before but we had this option enabled and it made it kind of fun.

I'm thinking 12 guys, with top 6 making the playoffs and the playoffs last for the final three weeks of the season. OR we can do the full season and not included playoffs... doesn't matter too much really.

Also, any scoring that you guys prefer? I've had a couple Head to Head fantasy pools lately that were pretty cool... makes the week a little more heated when you are battling someone and would make having the playoffs easier.

Best to have the championship game on Week 16, to prevent people from losing key players when teams that have locked up a palyoff spot sit their starters.

And head-to-head is the best way to play.

Yeah you NEVER have games in week 17. Championship always in week 16. Too many guys sit/play 1/2 the game last week of season.

As for scoring, I actually am the commish of the league at work. I can send you the starting lineups/rosters/scoring we use. It's H2H, 13 game regular season, 3 week playoff. 1st place 60%, 2nd place 30%, 3rd place 10%, leading pts 10% prize format. If you want the particulars to atleast have a base to go off of, send me a PM.

I am down. In my league and some of the other leagues I have been in over the years we put a little more emphasis on the points championship than 10%. My league is actually split evenly between Super Bowl champ and points champ and then pay out for a couple other places as well. I have always thought that the person who put up the most points had the best squad so we try to reward them close to as much as the SB champ.
Definitely week 16 champ. game, H2H, minimums needed at each position - QB, RB, WR, TE(?), Def, and K? Waivers for free agents? Any kind of review policy on trades?

NICE!! Lots of enthusiasm for this...

I'll get things set up soon so we can do this for sure...

I'm thinking we should do the draft on a Sunday night at like 10 est... This is probably the best way to ensure we get everyone out for it...

2 suggestions, but do what you want man.

    - Set some type of limit on FA acquisitions. Otherwise, no penalty for guys picking up 10 different guys/dropping them same day, and then those players being on waivers for the rest of the league. make it 2-3 a week or something.

    - after the draft, every player should be on waivers, not straight free agents. that way, person who has the last pick in the 1st round has the 1st crack at all the non-drafted players, like it should be.

again, both are your call though, just the settings most leagues use.
