    2015 Florida State Seminoles Preview
    Offense
Junior Jameis Winston returns with a National Championship under his belt while at the helm of the Noles but Senior Jacob Coker will be pushing him to continue to produce or he will sit on the bench.

Mario Pender will be the featured back this year with Steve Gardner, Matt Palmer and Collin Stratton spilling him.

The WR group lost most of the known names to everyone but Kelvin Benjamin returns this year as the number one taget and threat at 6'6" then Randy Holmes and Eddie Johnson will be in the two and three slots while Rob Poe and Marvin Bracy share the 4th and 5th depth chart. TE Christo Kourtzidis should replace Nick O'Leary well and this receiving corps should be solid.

The offensive line will be one of the youngest in the nation, Fr, RS Fr, RS So, RS Sr, RS Fr but grade out well overall: 80, 81, 82, 89, 86. The should take their bumps and bruises along the way but the should be able to produce another top 25 offense.
    Defense
Mario Edwards and Giorgio Newberry return after another year in the program. Edwards has provided more on the field and registered 6.5 sacks last year after having 9.0 the previous. Neal Harris is now in his junior year after coming in highly touted as a recruit in which he has provided 4.5 sacks with 14 tackles in his young career and should get some help along side fellow DT Carl Walker.

Ukeme Eligwe and Terrance Smith return from the clean up crew from a year ago and add in Reggie Northup. You might get to see Steve Williams on the field a little bit as a freshman he brings in an excellent first step, exploding to the hole forcing the back to pick a direction for the containment to swallow him up.

The secondary is led by Keelin Smith at cornerback who comes back after testing the NFL waters and will look to add to his 12 interception mark. The defense loses award winner Karlos Williams at SS but the debut of Kelvin Hicks last year at FS will make up for his loss. PJ Williams will hold down the SS spot along with getting a contribution from Nick Morris.
    Newcomer of the Year
Steve Williams might be the player that will see the most game time.
DJ and Aaron will battle it out in future years for the right at QB.
Colin's explosiveness and speed will be hard to keep the freshman off the field in certain formations.
    Recruiting Class Update
    Outlook
Florida State sat out and conquered what they wanted to do last year, so this team has a large target on it their back to be stopped from repeating. It is a very talented team but young in certain positions so a let down might be evident but Coach Knight will have this team prepared to play each and every week. They will be prepared to take everyone's best shot and at the end of the day they will look for the dust to settle and see where they are. Another birth in the ACC Championship is always the first goal, where can this team go after that?

    House Broken
Florida State downs South Carolina on their own turf 30-14
Ronald Darby takes back the opening kick, one of his two kick returns for a TD.

Columbia, SC-- Things did not start well for the South Carolina Gamecocks for the 2015 year, as they would open the year within the first ten seconds down 7-0 to the defending champions. They were not rattled though as Cocky put together over a four minute drive to tie the game up at sevens. Then they had to kickoff again and Darby did it to them again! Florida State would then go on to add a FG to push the lead to 17-7, South Carolina wouldn't give in just yet as they scored with 0:56 left before halftime to trim the lead to 3. The Noles weren't done for the first half as they march into FG range to extend the lead to 20-14 going into half.

South Carolina started with the ball and couldn't get anything going. FSU put the ball into Pender's hands and let him do most of the work in the second half as he punched in a TD in the 3rd to take a commanding 27-14 lead before adding another FG in the fourth to win 30-14.

    Not Even a Contest
Hokies are embarrassed following a 49-3 shellacking by Florida State
Mario Pender breaks #11 tackle and carries in #97 for one of his three TDs.

Tallahassee, FL-- Virginia Tech was looking to rebound after a shellacking they received not long ago in the ACC Title game but you just don't come into Doak Campbell Stadium and expect to do that. The Hokies did take the opening possession down the field but ended up stalling out and put three on the board to take the early lead. On a drive that had the Seminoles on their heels for the most part with a new attacking style of offense. On FSU's first drive they faced an early third down and VT would have gotten off the field but left a window just open enough for Winston to his Benjamin off a go route in which he was pressed, 61 yards later FSU was up 7-3 and didn't look back. Mario Pender Jr rushed for anouther 100+ yards and added 3 TDs to his resume. Both teams combined for 12 passes and 64 rushes. Virginia Tech was negative 4 in the turnover battle, putting the ball on the ground three times while throwing one interception. FSU moves their home win streak to 19 games.

    Marching Along
Seminoles travel to Chestnut Hill, finish off Boston College to improve to 6-0
Large holes to get to the second level allowed Pender to rush for over 100 yards with 2 TDs

Chestnut Hill, MA-- How would Florida State fair after shutting out Pittsburgh, traveling to Boston College and playing the Eagles one before hosting the Miami Hurricanes. A game that would almost have a feel of a so called "trap game," but the Florida State coaches didn't allow that to happen. Boston College would win the toss and defer to the Seminoles and they took the ball. Marching right down the field, Winston would hit WR Holmes on a nice post route to go up 7-0 early. By halftime it was quickly 28-0 after two non offensive TDs were scored in the second quarter, a punt return and an interception returned by Kelvin Hicks. BC put together a few nice drives in the second half but they would stall out of end in a turnover.

    2016 Florida State Seminoles Preview
    Offense
RS Senior Jameis Winston returns with a bitter loss in the National Championship game after throwing a pick in the endzone and failing to defend the title.

Mario Pender enters into his senior year and like last year will be the featured back with Steve Gardner, Matt Palmer and Collin Stratton spilling him.

The WR group lost most of the known names but Randy Holmes and Eddie Johnson will take over the #1 and #2 while Rob Poe will play the slot. TE Christo Kourtzidis is the main TE target while Phillip Waters will see a few targets come his way.

The offensive line did some growing up but will still be one of the youngest in the nation, Fr, RS So, RS Jr, Fr, RS So but grade out well overall: 79, 86, 87, 80, 91.
    Defense
Jayson Leierer and Cole West take charge as the defensive ends for this years team. Neal Harris is in his senior campaign after landing in Tallahassee as highly touted recruit and should get some help along side fellow DT Carl Walker and DT Anthony Taylor.

Incoming freshman Antone Phillips will get the start at MLB and will go with Garrett McNeal in 2 MLB sets. LOLB will be manned by RS Fr Dominic Landry and ROLB will be played by Junior Chris Rodriguez.

Talented CB Ryan Scott makes his way along with RS So Antoine Young with the nickel and dime backs going to have grow up quickly. Kelvin Hicks has proved to be the next great FSU safety and will help erase the mistakes the corners and linebackers make along side PJ Williams will hold down the SS spot along with getting a contribution from Nick Morris and CJ Miller.
    Newcomer of the Year
Phillips will start at MLB and by the time his career is over, opponents will be wondering how old this kid is. He should blossom into a solid player and later on might develop into a superstar.
Cronin will see some plays in the fifth WR spot in 5 WR sets, he could possibly see some work as a number four. Even though he is ultra talented he has a lot of talent ahead of him.
    Recruiting Class Update
    Outlook
Florida State sat out and came up short in what they wanted to accomplish last year, so this team has a lot hunger to take back another Championship.
