Coach way to rally the troops to avoid the 2 game skid, what was the key to the victory?

what has been the main thing keeping the offense from getting a rhythm?

How do you feel the defense has played a quarter of the year in?

    How is recruiting going?

The Defense really stepped up on the last drive, they picked up a key sack on 2nd and 4 to make BYU miss a field goal that would have been the game winner.

what has been the main thing keeping the offense from getting a rhythm?

The running game has ran real well thus far, Jermaine I believe is avg. over 5 yards a carry, and the rest of the bunch have had good carries when giving the ball, We have 1 rushing touchdown but we are struggling a bit of the offensive side. The boys have practiced really hard this week and are looking to turn the corner vs Wake Forest saturday afternoon.

How do you feel the defense has played a quarter of the year in?

Outstanding, They have had a few mistakes but that will happen to a young team, but other then maybe 2-3 plays a game they have been the heart and soul of the team. Nigel Carr is really stepping up as a leader on the field and not just the vocal leader. Big Mc [Anthony McCloud] has really dominated the line for us and has been big against the run, couldn't be more happier with what Mark and the rest of the defensive coaches have done.

    How is recruiting going?

It's going well, we have 2 kids coming into visit vs Wake Forest, we have a small limit to the recruits we can sign this season with only 8, We're looking to hopefully have the class wrapped up by late season.

Why has Christain Ponder under performed?

Do you have any impact true freshman playing this season?

Can this team win the ACC?

Why has Christian Ponder under performed?

Myself and Coach Coley sat down with Christian this week, and talked over what was going on, we watched film. You can see he is trying to make plays that are not there and not really taking what is there for him. Practice went well this week he is looking more calm and relax back there.

Do you have any impact true freshman playing this season?

Lamarcus Joyner has been a solid nickel corner all season, [Jeff] Luc has gotten in on some big hits and has a sack, both Christian Green and Will Tye have played a handful of snaps.

Can this team win the ACC

Right now we have to worry about getting our offense back on track, After that comes around we will talk about contending for the ACC title.

Big win vs UNC Coach how was the seen in the locker room afterwards?

EJ Manuel played a huge role in this one, was Ponder banged up or benched?

You are in the drivers seat for the Atlantic seat at the ACC CG, are there any obstacles in your way?

The players & coaches are really on the same page right now, we are really playing some good football right now and everyone has a positive attitude. Everyone's looking forward to closing out the ACC with Clemson & Maryland.

EJ Manuel played a huge role in this one, was Ponder banged up or benched?

Christian went down with a shoulder injury, same one from last year and he sat out 2 series tried to come back in for a play but said he couldn't finish and pull himself out. EJ has been soaking up everything and he looked outstanding out there with 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter.

We have to face Clemson this week, we lost last year to them, they always play us tough and then we have Maryland the week after which is no pushover either.

    Coach what happened against NIU?

How many slots left do you have to fill through recruiting for the upcoming season?

Did this team just lose it's focus down the stretch?

Focus, seemed like the guys had there heads in over places, NIU came to play and no matter who we play we have to take them serious or we're going to end up losing like we did.

How many slots left do you have to fill through recruiting for the upcoming season?

We've pretty much have our class filled, may look to add a defensive tackle, but other then that it's sealed up.

Did this team just lose it's focus down the stretch?

100%, after the Clemson & Florida lost the team really felt down, they felt like they let the city, the coaches and the school down. That's 2 games you can't lose close like that big time rivals.

Coach how will you prepare your team for a huge game vs Oklahoma?

Is this team young, experienced or is it a healthy mix of the two?

Is there a better signal caller than Christian Ponder in the country?

OU has won 31 straight home games, longest streak in the country. We are not going to come out of their with a win unless we limit turnovers to 1 or 0 and get a big time effort out of our D line.

Is this team young, experienced or is it a healthy mix of the two?

We are experiences at the 2 most important units QB and OL, I feel we have the best QB unit in the country with EJ Manuel doing so well as a backup last season. Our OL has started together for what seems like 3 years, they grew up as freshman and sophomores together in the field of battle, not in the weight rooms and redshirt programs most schools run, they are ready.

Overall we only have 7 seniors on this team, we are incredibly young, hungry, and talented

Is there a better signal caller than Christian Ponder in the country?
There are QBs with stronger arms (Ryan Mallet, Jake Locker), better accuracy (Kellen Moore, Andrew Luck) and better speed (Tyrod Taylor, Denard Robinson) but the combination of all of these things plus his intelligence and maturity i would not trade for anyone else in college football.
