I'm new here so I apologize if I'm jumping the gun but I stumbled onto the roster project and I'll make a few notes about Rivals depth chart that's posted by Kasper. If I don't include a position then what Rivals has is correct or I don't have enough information to warrant a change.

RB - The players are right, but it probably won't be that breakdown as far as playing time. It's still up in the air b/c of JT's misdemeanor and some minor injuries but if I had to guess it'd be:

    1a - Jermaine Thomas
    1b - Chris Thompson
    2 - Ty Jones
    3 - Devonta Freeman

I'm tempted to list Ty Jones as 1c because it will probably be a 30%/30%/30%/10% split between the four (Devonta getting 10) but there's just no telling. All the backs were banged up at the Spring Game.

WR - Josh Gehres won't be on the depth chart. He had a serious injury to his knee and will be out for the season most likely. It's yet to be determined who will take his spot but if I had to guess I'd say true frosh Kelvin Benjamin will get a long look. 6'6" runs a 4.5.

TE - really up in the air because Nick O'Leary hasn't gotten to school yet. He's seriously good enough to not start practicing till August and still unseat our other TE's

NT - From what I've heard Amp McCloud didn't really take care of himself this offseason and is over weight and out of shape at the moment. I don't think it's a given that he's the starter, there's been some noise about Cam Erving this offseason but nothing concrete on anybody at this point.

DT - Jacobbi McDaniel is about to be a 3 year starter, Everette Dawkins has not over taken him, and I don't think he will. Also, Timmy Jernigan has got to make the depth chart. 5-star DT outta Lake City, FL; reports surfaced that he's gained weight to 300LBs but actually dropped BF% this offseason: animal.

MLB - I don't know if it's b/c Luc was hurt for the Spring or not but there's a chance Telvin Smith plays the mike, and if he does, there's a very good chance he starts. I'll update when I know more.

CB - Xavier Rhodes will definitely be the starter and Harris the Nickle.

S - Joyner looked good but Moody is the incumbent. We'll see but Moody definitely won't be 4th on the depth chart, at worst he's second to Joyner.

I'll update as I get more. If any 'Nole fans see an error please jump in and correct. Thanks!

Did Lamarcus Joyner play corner this year?

He's small but he hits like a truck, but I mean now he's 192lbs.. Hes must be pretty damn good if he's that much smaller than Moody and taking his spot

    1. Thompson
    2. Thomas
    3. Jones... make way for Freeman

Gehres is practically done, tore up his knee

I don't know why they listed DE, DE, NT, DT...
Basically will be DE Warner, DTs McDaniel, Dawkins, DE Jenkins as starters

    MLB: Vince Williams will start
Telvin Smith will play against OU there because he is more athletic and can cover more than Williams

    CB:
    Rhodes
    Reid
Harris.. don't be surprised if Harris plays some over Greg

Moody was often overlooked from his horrible coverage because of the way he could hit. He is more of a run first safety, really reading from the reports I do, it is hard to say which one you want to play Parks or Moody. Terrence was more consistent but they both played bad and I will blame that on being the first year experience and a new scheme. We will see this summer and into the fall.

LJ did play corner this past year but he did seem a bit over matched. He's not quite the athlete he was billed as. Last spring reports coming out were saying that he was a Greg Reid clone and just as dangerous in the return game. However you could tell those reports were vastly over selling his skill set.

I think he'll be a lot better at Safety than corner. He's so inclined towards a physical game that it gets him in trouble at CB some. Really like the switch to Safety.

To all of you-- I honestly didn't have faith that the above depth chart would be accurate.. was more hoping it would do exactly what it did and stir up discussion for you Noles fans! haha

That was a terrible call by the way, a total clean hit. If anything the hit on Lattimore in the Chick-Fil-A bowl was more of a penalty than this one, but even that one was clean!

I think that Karlos Williams will play a good bit as a freshmen. He was impressive in all the ALLSTAR games last winter. Also do you guys think Wilder will be at RB or LB because I have read people saying he will play offense and others saying he will be on D... What do you think. And do you think any of these guys(besides the JUCO's) will get on the field right away?

I'd say Karlos Williams will probably play about the amount Joyner played last year. I have no idea about Wilder, but I'd like to at least see what potential he has at HB. By the way, I know you're new so here's a better spot to talk FSU football
