    Dynasty Description
    Basic premise for Football IQ will be a coach career-carousel format. Either build your program or build your career avenue to a bigger gig at a more prestigious program.

    This league will be used as a feeder-league to also recruit users for the Madden league Rookie Symposium. The Upperclassmen, Freshman Orientation, and Football I.Q. are all NCAA dynasties ran by Rookie Symposium's core group of vets. We use each league to build solid owners, who can develop into dedicated members who then get drafted into Rookie Symposium.

    Advance / Schedule

    We will advance the league every 48-72 hours. I'd prefer it be closer to every 48, but I am leaving some wiggle room for us in the beginning so I can see if guys can keep up. If we get into a groove where we are consistently completing games and tasks within the 48hr mark, I will put in place a more rigid hard advance schedule. Always recruit before you play your game! If you have played your game, I am assuming that you have recruited and will count you as ready. If you have a bye and all players who had a game have finished we will advance. So make sure you recruit ASAP when you have a bye.


    A minimum of 3-4 user games will be scheduled per season. Sometimes scheduling conflicts will prevent me from being able to always get four on to everyone's schedule, but that is my goal.

    Game Play Rules:



    Game Restart
    • If you have a CPU restart you will ONE warning. A second violation will result in a 1-week suspension (meaning your next scheduled game will be simmed). A 3rd violation will result in you being removed from the league. The burden of proof is on you to show why there was a restart. I understand sometimes people can be DC'd due to factors out of their control, but suspicious behavior will not be tolerated.

    Play Calling
    • Vary play calling as much as possible on both defense AND offense
    • You can attack an opponent's weakness, but do so without exploiting a flaw in the game itself
    • The offense must make sure the defense is allowed reasonable time to read and adjust to audibles (i.e. 2-3 seconds)
    Offense

    Scoring:
    • There is a scoring cap of 70 points in a blowout. If you exceed this your team will be hit with sanctions.
    • If ahead by 28 points or more in the 2nd half, you must bench your starting offense
    • If ahead by 40 or more in the 1st half, you must bench your starting offense
    Audibles
    • Unrealistic Audibles are not permitted (i.e. Goaline to Shotgun, I-Formation to 5-Wide)
    • WR cannot be moved to TE with audible
    • TE cannot be moved to WR with audible
    Hurry-Up Offense
    • Can not be continued after an incomplete pass or a play that netted negative yardage.
    Motion
    • Ball cannot be snapped until the player is set in stance / in position regardless of play clock remaining, unless by play design
    Quarterback Scrambling
    • QB drop-back must be of realistic length ( 3 / 5 / or 7-steps)
    • QB roll-out immediately following the snap must be by play design (i.e. bootleg / option)
    • Scrambling is allowed if pressured, but pressure MUST be there
    Goal Line Formation

    Allowed when:
    • Used on 3rd / 4th & Short (2 yards or less) or
    • 5 yards or less from the end-zone
    4th Down Attempts


    Allowed if:
    • On the opponent's side of the 45 yd line and it is 4th & 3 or less or
    • Anytime down by 14 pts or more in the 2nd half or
    • Trailing in 4th quarter
    Special Teams
    • Fake Punt/Kick allowed within same restrictions as 4th down attempts
    • Manual player movement pre-snap is NOT allowed, period.
    • Any kick that takes advantage of the AI is banned.
    Once again guys this league is meant to be SIM and competitive, however it is meant to be FUN for both players above everything else. We want everyone play their games and enjoy themselves.

    Rules have been updated. Please note that if you are in some of the other RS affiliated leagues like Underclassmen or Freshman Orientation, that our rules are close to same, except for some slightly more lenient gameplay rules... but not the restrictions on recruiting that they have. I've chosen to simply not restrict recruiting in anyway, because it involves too much micro-management imo. I also feel like with our teams, there's enough challenge at this point building your team.
