    Format for next year.

Not trying to distract from our current dynasty, but since I saw T1 had this going on I thought it would be fun to discuss.

Any ideas on what we are doing next year (NCAA '11)?

I'll take the Gators or whatever team is rated highest and everyone gets a Sun Belt team. That sounds about even.

Better be careful copying us, you might end up having to put up a skank of the week thread.

I've been thinking about this and was getting ready to make a post. I still don't have a scenario to offer up, but it would be good to get the discussion going.

I think the two conference w/conf championships setup works out really well. Although, I would definitely limit the number of OOC uvu games so that our schedules seem less redundant in the later years. I would be willing to move to a three conference setup, if there is enough interest, though.

The only thing we haven't done is mid-majors and I'm sure that it wouldn't work out for this group. It just wouldn't work with the level of recruiting/scouting that we do combined with the stick skills of some.

It's always good to talk about things, but i thik its way to premature to iron things out as we still don't know what recruiting will look like. I think we should go with real confs though..

maybe this would be to spread out, but how about 3 conf/2 div
    Big 12
    ACC
    SEC

then we could bring out 3v3v3 and so on we did in 09 for OOC...

I wouldn't mind going to 3 conferences, that might give us some more freedom with the schedules for ooc user games and eliminate some of that redundancy. As far as the level of teams we choose from I'm down for anything.

I agree, I think going with 3 conferences would work out a lot better.

It would be nice to see no one as any of the power recruiting schools/states. Its pretty obvious that no matter how good you are and for how long , you cant make your school into a recruting powerhoues like Florida, Texas (see Virgina). This may also help in keeping the computer stay competative for longer as well.

Have you seen the recruiting rankings? I would have to disagree.

We are going to do other things to keep the CPU competitive. Just have to see what features the new game is going to throw at us before we determine what that is.

I'm okay with the three conference setup as long the conferences either all have or don't have conference champ games.

i like the conference championship setup personally, it makes the users really work for a national title bid.... especially with 3 conferences, someone could always be on the outside looking in without a conference championship game...

So that pretty much limits us to:

    Big 12
    ACC
    SEC
    CUSA
    MAC

    Right?

I like the two conference two division set up. Winning a national title or going undefeated is ridiculously hard.

First you have to win your division, which could be up to 4 USER in conference games. Then you have to win the conference championship. Then you probably have to win the National title over the winner of the other conference.

    Its pretty tough.

If you switch to like the Big 10 or Pac 10, you can have maybe 1 or 2 USER confernce games and win your conference and play for the National title.

Yeah, I really prefer the conference championship setup, whether it is two or three conferences.

We don't have to limit ourselves to those conferences if we don't want to Shaun. Assuming we still have the custom conferences option (and we want to go that route) we can transfer an entire conference into a setup with a conf champ game. I want to take a more realistic approach this year and keep the conferences whole, but I'm not opposed to changing the setups.

I think the conference championship games are essential because of the caliber of most of the players in this dynasty. I like the idea of upping the anty to 3 conferences for increased parity and I think I prefer keeping the conferences with real teams but I'm good either way.

I know mutt and Khallis probably want Missouri and nebraska unless they want to try something different this year.

    ACC Boston College, Miami, UNC
    Sec:Ole Miss, Tennessee, Bama
Big 12 texas tech, okie state, nebraska

My pre info top 3 would probably be BC, Miami, UNC

    My top 4 would be:
    Georgia Tech, Baylor, Tennessee, Duke

Not in any particular order. I think I may take a rebuilding job for fun. We get through enough seasons to make it worthwhile.

There are a bunch of teams that I would like to run with so it won't be hard to find one to use.
