Free Agency/Offseason Rule Idea *YEAR 2*

I propose a rule for offseason free agency and draft:

Player modifiers do not change in value until after the season starts.

What this means is that if a team makes trades that cause players to assume starter status, this status is not bestowed on them until the offseason is over.

Call it training camp time or whatever.

After the offseason is to start, the cap guys set all the rosters based on overalls (excepting those who were signed as FAs for modifiers). That way if a team trades a starting player, they have time to get a replacement starter in before the season starts.

    Make sense?

Eh, I like the fact that it forces teams to think this through. I am cool either way, but i like the fact it forces them to pay guys high amounts so they dont go crazy changing their roster, if they do it cost them.
