AGAIN: IT IS CRUCIAL THAT YOU DO NOT DO ANYTHING ON THE CONSOLE AT THIS TIME. DONT MESS WITH YOUR ROSTER OR PLAY GAMES.... JUST USE XFN FOR FA BIDDING. We will run the bid period for 24 hours - roughly. We will be closing the first bidding period at 9pm EST tomorrow. What that means is, at 9pm I will try to close it - then the XFN will wait for an unspecified period of time (unknown even to me) - between 5 and 20 minutes - and then actually close the bidding. That way I have zero advantage. The kicker though is pretty much everyone better be available during that time as bidding will get VERY competitive, VERY quickly. Once that 9pm timeslot is passed, its on like donkey kong down to the wire. It should be fun - just be AWARE of it. 9pm is the deadline. Once 9pm bids keep your eyes peeled for new bids and your trigger finger ready to move on to plan B or C or whatever it may be. Now.... Couple more things - I expect to see legitimate signing bonus' for players that demand them. The question to you all is, what is a fair number. 25% 35%? More? The issue is, those guys will accept just about anything once the salary gets over a certain point (at least thats my expectation). How do you HK guys get around this? Emmdotfrisk BobJr ryty32 or XLenceofXQtion I dont want to see guys loading up salary and excluding signing bonus' unfairly. If I could police it like I want to, I would just say you can never lower a player signing bonus. If it gets to 5 mil, you can never offer below that. But that would be difficult to police - I'm open to suggestions, however. We could try to police it that way, but bidding would no longer be allowed to be anonymous. We'd have to be able to see the high bidder then blow the whistle on them. We could make the punishment harsh like - you're no longer allow to win this player or something like that? I'm just trying to do whats fair. Its not fair for someone to submit a 50mil bid but only put up 1mil/yr as a bonus. Happy hunting.
