So this has been brought up several times in CB/Groupme, the idea of doing a one night offseason. Basically immediately following the draft we allow fifteen minutes for position changes then dive into a live three round waiver draft. That way we can advance to week one Sunday night and get this next season going.

Who would be unable to participate keeping in mind the draft likely would be over by 9:30 since we are starting at 7pm est?

What's the magic number here? And when does voting end? I was thinking if a quarter of the league (8 members) vote no or just completely fail to vote, we operate as scheduled. This seems like too big of an event to just do majority rules

Really just a feeler to engage in some convo to see if it would even be feasible. Looking to get to the games and season.

This would reduce the need for that process and avoid Rich having to spend the time to go through all of the waiver picks.

This seems to me to be better because if you submitted three picks previously and all three were taken before your selection then you'd have no recourse to adjust based on the remaining crop of players.

A couple people have mentioned something g like this in cb/Groupme so we thought we could gauge the groups interest.

I'm all for it. We wouldn't even have to be at home or on the console. just on groupme or the TSO site and Daddy leagues. I like this idea. I'm ready to get the season going too.

Given where you would be picking you would likely make it in time for the waiver draft.....

I like this idea as a whole, if you can't make it you still get to go for whoever is available after, I've been in that situation if we waited for everyone for everything the draft would take a month

1st - I didnt get the tag either.

2nd - I like the concept, but I dont know about the plausibility of it. Typically, the actual draft gets over in 2 to 2.5 hours. That alone is putting us at 9:30 est. From there, we're talking another hour or so for the waiver wire? That's a long time...

Can we get a decision on t his? 19 people voted, only 3 say no. We can either take a list from those 3 and do it. The other 12-13 who didn't vote probably won't submit claims anyways...? I know in past seasons some teams didn't even submit claims if you look back..

Agreed. Like any vote if you choose to remain silent you are accepting of any outcome.

This is a go ... The FA Live lottery will start after the draft. We will sit on roster/position changes for 10 minutes then commence with the lottery. I will start a live thread here; with our GroupMe being the other lottery tool.

Teams should be at 53 to start the FA draft or just in time for the advance
