Freshman Write or talk trash about which Freshman will tear it up this year... Florida State MLB Jeff Luc
With the Depth we have on our team he won't get the attempts most will. But this kid here will be the best of that recruiting class.Easily the most athletic guy can be the best TE or DE of all the freshmen and it wouldn't surprise me if he could be the best OLB either.Huge steal for us late in the recruiting class.I mean do i really have to mention his name all you guys know him.
I'm expecting big things from this guy: Tom Wort-RS Fr MLB He's rated an 89 in NCAA. Can you imagine recruiting a MLB in NCAA who's rated an 89 as a RS Fr?
Marcus Lattimore - he's like a 96 in speed in the game as a true frosh William Gholston - I hate that he went to Sparty, but will be interesting to see if he'll be like his cous at BlowSU Devon Gardner - I want to see what this former MEGA Conference athlete does in the Maize & Blue I'm curious to see how a few pan out:
Tennessee Volunteer Frosh WR Justin Hunter 6'4"- 185lbs- 4.49 forty He's a junior national long jump champion Link. Just finished 6th in the IAAF World Junior Track & Field Championships in the long jump He holds his state record long jump (25 feet 8 3/4 inches) and won Virginia Class AAA state championship in the high jump and long jump. T&F Bio Personal bests: High Jump: 7ft 3in Long Jump: 25ft 10 3/4in Triple Jump: 50ft 8 1/4in The kid is a hell of an athlete, well see if he can catch the ball
- True Freshman QB Robert Bolden, starting for the Nittany Lions. Looked good against a lowly Youngstown St team. About 240 yards passing and 2 TDs. 1 interception, but apparently the WR fell during his route and the DB made a nice catch? I didn't see the play... - True Freshman HB Silas Redd. Won't be starting for the Lions, but should see some playing time. Again, didn't watch the Youngstown St game, but listened to it on the radio when he was on the field and he is one exciting player to watch. LB Khairi Fortt is also one of PSU's top prospects coming in this season. Played some during the Youngstown St game, but will make an impact on special teams this year and on some defensive downs.
For Texas A&M, LT Luke Joeckel and RT Jake Mathews were very impressive in their first game. TE Nehemiah Hicks did a great job and caught an out route where he made 3 people miss (www.aggieathletics.com highlights in the middle of the page @ about the 2:35 mark). DB Tony Hurd Jr, LB Domontre Moore (sack), and LB Dominique Patterson were solid in their freshmen debut. A few other freshmen (9 total for the game) got some time late in the game. We played 18 freshmen last year, so it's good to see the guys coming in and competing for PT.
Cimmy, this PSU board I frequent, they were in LOVE with redd. They already want to run royster out of town even though his apparent weight gain doesn't look like much in a uniform. The depth at RB is crazy though so I'm not concerned about it. Bolden looked so good. Very poised. Looked like he belonged out there
Yeah, I heard he looked good, but the only thing is that he didn't run if he had nothing to throw to....
I know they only beat UL Lafayette but Aaron Murray looked beastly Saturday. I can't wait to see how he does this season and his backup Freshman Hutson Mason's first college career pass was a TD....so im really excited to see how they both play this year, hopefully they will do good.
I first posted Luc (48) but I think the next great Seminole LB is Christian Jones (7). I thought he had more than 1 tackle in the game but went and checked the box score his only stat was a tackle and it went as a sack...
LOL. I remember when that dude quit the Packers. I also remember when he tried to come back and got cut.
He was still amazing in college - I could give a damn if someone gets cut in the nfl as long as they tear it up in college for my Huskers.
OU is playing 11 true freshman this year. S Tony Jefferson, FB Trey Millard and WR Kenny Stills all start.
Especially the A&M guys I talked about above. And that was back when A&M was a middle-table Big XII team.
So was Luc and he turned out to be That can be attributed to a porous LB coach and development though...
