I like the idea! I am not sure that I have any playing since I signed almost ALL 2-star guys, but I will certainly pay attention.

Week 1 vs. St. Edwards Eagles

The WAC defensive player of the week was Gonzaga freshman Drew Shelby. The 6'0", 200 lb Shelby did a little bit of everything with 3 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT and 1 FF.

RG Brock Freeman, my lone 5-star recruit, began his Gonzaga career with 3 pancakes and 0 sacks allowed.

After 2 games, DE Joshua Colvin has 22 tackles, 9TFL, and 6 sacks.

His last game was against Florida State. He had 14 tackles, 5TFL, and 3 sacks in that game alone.

He was a 2 star guy yet he starts beacuse my defense was just that bad last year. That's the case at a lot of positions this year.

Wow bfruchey, that Joshua Colvin guy sounds like he's already a beast. And Big Suge has a TD-scoring machine in HB Jackson. Good work recruiting squad.

I'll update my guys every 3 games. So, that said, here are the stats for my freshmen who get the most pt:

FB Zach Bradshaw (Starter): 4 rushes, 17 yards, 0 pancakes
TE Leonard Coleman (2nd TE): 3 receptions, 49 yards
LE Trent Robinson (Starter): 11 tackles, 3 for loss, 3 sacks [Had 6 tackles, 3 TFL, 3 sacks vs. Wake!)
LOLB Ryan Harvey (Starter, although not on the field much due to running the 4-2-5): 11 tackles, 1 for loss, 1 INT, 2 DEFL, 1 FR
CB Tyler Smith (2nd CB): 12 tackles, 2 DEFL
SS Kyle Nelson (Starter): 11 tackles, 1 for loss, 1 sack, 1 DEFL
    SS James Hackett (2nd FS/SS): 6 tackles, 1 for loss, 1 INT, 1 DEFL

Nothing too crazy, but I could see my left end becoming somewhat of a stud! I might have to find a way to get LOLB Harvey on the field more, his stats are pretty solid for part-time work.

Within the first 2 weeks, DE Joshua Colvin grabbed both Defensive P.O.W.

    Now it's another freshman's turn.

Against Troy, Fr. CB Marvin Green, had a pretty big day. 3 tackles, 1 Int, 2 FumRec
