FSU welcomed in a new season and a new era, as Coach Joe ran out with the Noles for the first time. The game would start slow as both defenses held their ground through the first quater. FSU would take Washington all the way down to the 3, where they would go for it and be stopped.

In the second it would be the Noles who would strike first by way of a four yard scamper by Lopez.
Washington would tie it up after Huggins finds Montana for 31 yards, with 1:06 remaining in the half, Lloyd would kick a field goal, and Washington up ten at the half. FSU would get back into the game due to the Huskies inability to stop the option.
In the fourth quarter Lopez would again find the endzone, this time running over and through the Huskie defenders as Washington flips to him on the option. "I saw Washington bring in a couple of defenders and knew he was gonna toss it to me, I saw green and just ran."

FSU turned the ball over towards the end of the game and Fogerson and the Huskies would capitalize as Montana again caught a touchdown pass in the endzone. FSU had five minutes left on the clock, they would drive 80 yards and with 18 seconds left, FSU's Washington calls his own number.

FSU and Coach Designs start the season off right with a win.
    FSU 28 - Washington 24.

The #12 Ranked Bulldogs welcomed the #23 Ranked FSU Seminoles of Tallahassee, the SEC vs ACC Matchup broughts many fans in from both schools, and bragging rights of which state was better. The game started off with neither team being able to do anything on the offensive side of the ball until Georgia's Malcome found some running room and would run 19 yards for the score with just two seconds remaining on the clock in the first to put Georgia up by 6, and Harrison came on to kick the extra point to put the Dawgs up by seven.

The Noles would rally in the second quarter, on a pair of FSU touchdowns, the first coming in the form of Lopez who took it twenty two yards to the house, and the second by way of Washington going fifty four yards.

Neither team would score in the third as the defenses put themselves on display knocking down passes, and planting both qb's into the grass over and over.
In the fourth Georgia would tie the game up, as Dennis connected with Barnes on a wide open post route to tie the game back up at fourteen all. FSU's Greg Dent received the kick and went thirty two yards before he was finally brought down, setting up FSU's game winning drive as Brown went 30 yards for the score.

    COME HERE BITCH

Next week they open their ACC play with Coach Boda's Boston College Eagles. Boston College knocked off USC this past weekend in a route 41-17. Boston College is expected to be in the top 7 in the nation. So it's Boston College's #1 DEFENSE vs FSU's #1 OFFENSE IN THE NATION!!! Can FSU do the unthinkable and topple mighty Boston College...they play in Tallahassee...so we'll wait and see.

    FSU 21- Georgia 14.

The Nole fans want to forget this one, but Coach Designs want's his guys to remember. "I want them to remember us being the underdogs at home. I want them to remember putting up 35 points against the Best Defense in the Nation." Coach Designs hammered these points home in the Post game press conference. Some reporters wanted to know why. "Guys, when I got here, FSU was 3-8, they were 30th in recruiting, and today, these guys played like they were top 10. Did we get beat? Absolutely. But did we get rolled like everyone predicted we would? No, these boys could have quit, they could have layed down and let BC beat us by 50, but they played until the game was over."
Coach Joe, if you remember came into Bama and built a power running game including two of his halfbacks winning Heisman Trophies. This year FSU's recruiting class is already looking better than Alabama's. Stay tuned to FSU football folks, this thing is a LONG way from over.

After the loss to Boston College, Coach Designs said he knew FSU would do one of two things, "lay down and die, or be pissed and fight." They were the second. The Noles came out to a loud and boisterous ovation in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium and proceeded to do what they always do...most of the time. WIN. Georgia Tech shouldn't have even bothered taking the bus ride to Tallahassee.
Georgia Tech didn't have problems just on offense, they had problems everywhere.

The Heels welcomed the Noles to town in another ACC Conference game for the Noles. The Noles would jump on the board first courtesy of a 71 yard scamper by Robert, and then would begin to pull away immediately. Lopez and Dent also scored to give the Noles a comfortable 21-7 lead at the end of the first.

In the second it was all Noles as Greg Dent put on a highlight reel second quarter running for one touchdown, and then catching two more putting the score at 42-7 at the half.
UNC would try to rally in the third and fourth quarters, but it was too little too late for the Heels. Noles win big and are still just one game behind undefeated Boston College.

The Deamon Deacons made the trip to the beautiful surroundings of Doak Campbell Stadium as they prepared to face off against the Noles. FSU jumped ahead again as in the previous week as Lopez scored twice and the FSU defense took a fumble back for 6. Noles went up, and never looked back. Up 35-7 at the end of the second quarter, FSU got a scare as Lopez limped off the field. "He's out for a couple of weeks", was the news Coach Joe gave in the post game presser, which means FSU is without their BIG BACK against the U. Lopez's backup Morgan came in and rushed for another two touchdowns.

Booos rang down as FSU ran on the field, and cheers erupted as the Canes came running through the smoke. Once again these two bitter in-state rivals would collide. A series of wide-rights, miami muffs, and thrilling 4th quarters were the history, and this game would prove to be just like the others.
FSU jumped out to a 7-3 lead thanks to a 73 yard run by Brown, and Miami would close the gap with a thirty four yard field goal.
FSU would start to pull away in the second as Washington found both Mark, and Dent for touchdown receptions. Miami would score 7 off of Johnson's 5 yard rush. At the half it was FSU 24 - Miami 10
Washington found paydirt in the third as did Miami as FSU took their lead 31 - 17

Miami would get another touchdown as Harris connected on a nine yard strike with Morris to get within seven, but FSU leaves with the win.

Coming off a BYE week the Noles looked to continue their winning ways as they faced off against the Maryland Terapins. Isaiah Brown would get the game started on a touchdown from three yards out and Mike Washington would pick up another score on a fifty one yard foot race.

In the third, FSU would pad their lead on a seventy two yard reception as Mike Washington hooks up with Greg Dent to the put the Noles up 21-0.
The Noles scored again by way of a fumble and went up 28-0, the Terps would score 12 against the second string...FSU desposes of Maryland

After losing their Star HB Lopez, many wondered who would carry FSU...the answer...Mike Washington. Having a stellar season the Dual Threat QB did what he did every other game...he ran. Washington would be the difference maker in the game as he rushed for 3 TD's against NC State. The wolfpack would score 25, but it wasn't enough.

The Noles welcomed the Clemson Tigers, then proceeded to kick tiger tail. FSU allowed 3 points the entire game. Four different Noles scored touchdowns, and Clemson had no answer on either side of the ball. Clemson needs to find answers quickly, after Coach @SodaAddict left, this team has proceeded to go towards the bottom of the ACC.

After knocking off Georgia to begin the year, alot of SEC fans said it was a fluke. FSU played South Carolina to prove them all wrong.

South Carolina found the endzone first as Herring caught a 42 yard laser from McCloud, but the lead would be short lived as Trickett found a wide open Kenny Shaw for 46 yards and then FSU's Christian would kick a 31 yarder to give the Noles a 3 point lead at half time.
In the third Washington found the endzone to put the Noles up by 10. South Carolina kept it close with a field goal from Franklin, and a TD strike as McCloud once again found Herring. With just 43 ticks left on the clock in the 3rd Washington ran 70 yards to put the Noles back up by 7.

The game came down to the final seconds...and on 4th and goal, this was the result...
