Hey guys I wanted to share this info for anyone who hasn't played in a 2k OA. Trading is handled similar to real life, a trade gets proposed and it takes a day at least to be approved then another day to process. The league advances one calendar day per advance. Right now we're on November 2, 2013 in 11 hours we will be at November 3, 2013. So a trade submitted right now could possibly take two advance cycles to fully process. It is also important to keep an eye on the date of the league and your schedules any games not completed before the advance will get simmed. Just an FYI so nobody gets confused when they make a trade or FA pick-up before playing and their new players aren't there. FAs also take time for the players to review their offers.

The nice thing about this mode is that you can play a game that's scheduled for March 22 on November 2. But when the association advances to November 3rd, you cannot play the game scheduled on November 2. Hope that's clear enough. Basically, the best way to go about things is to play your CPU games in order, and then play users when both parties have the time. If the user game needs to be played ASAP because we're about to advance past the date, then you'll have to make the time.
