    Quotes to come

I spoke with the head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes today and he had this to say, "This week boils down to Iowa's defense keeping them in the game, Iowa's offense putting up points, and Daniel Murray being able to relax on the sidelines."

I'm think PSU will be too tough at home for Iowa in this one. The 1-2 punch of Evan Royster & Stephon Green along with Darryl Clark at the helm will lead them to a 27-20 victory.

Well since the CPU sim thinks that Penn St is twice as good is Oregon, I gotta go with Penn State on this one..

Iowa came in Happy Valley looking to repeat the upset win over the Nittany Lions that they accomplished last season. For the Nittany Lions, it was all about Revenge. Beaver Stadium was painted white for this top 25 matchup. Iowa and Penn State battled it out and fought hard, exchanging the lead during the game. Turnovers were a factor as both teams coughed up the ball. The Penn State defense was hitting the Iowa offensive specialists as hard as they could during the entire game. With 2 minutes left in the game, the Hawkeyes scored and went up 20-17. HB Jewel Hampton pounded the rock from about 10 yards out and smashed his way through the Penn State Defense to find the paint...but he never got up. A bittersweet go ahead touchdown as the star HB went down for the season with torn knee tissue. With 2 minutes left and the crowd on their side, the PSU offense came out looking to ensure they would not lose to the pesky Hawkeyes yet again. Daryll Clark found Chaz Powell with 1 on 1 coverage up the left side for a huge gain. With only 1 minute on the clock, the fierce Nittany Lion offensive would find a way as Evan Royster found the endzone for the go ahead score, 24-20 with a minute on the clock. Plenty of time for Iowa, down an all-american HB. Stanzi would fire the ball and gain a first down, inching into PSU territory. A few plays later, Stanzi would do exaclty what he did not want to do...threw a game ending interception. Penn State remains undefeated and moves to 4-0 on the season as Iowa falls to 2-2 and likely out of the top 25 and down their star HB for the season. Iowa walks away from the Beaver with 2 huge losses on the season, as PSU yet again comes away with a big win and takes one more step closer to a possible bid for the National Championship.

Final Score: Penn State 24 Iowa 20

Great Game H22. Two Tough Losses. GL With The Rest of the Season. See You Next Year.

What really bothered me was the Arizona loss wasn't a loss at all. Stupid game would not load back to the dynasty. Two times in a row. Both were instant classics, the 2nd one scoring over 2200 because the Wildcats scored with 6 seconds remaining, and kicked off to Koulianos, who returned it 93yds for the game winning TD. Even have the trophy for that crap. It really was irritating. Abuser said super sim it, so I did, and I lost 34-24. Now a tough game this week against PSU and that puts me at two losses. Just a tough few weeks. Great game Cimmy, look forward to more like that.
