Guys, you MUST comply to establishing the following settings or your league games WILL disconnect due to a "desync" error occurring. I have also provided a screenshot and a tutorial video below for those who need it.

    Defensive Graphics: Full
    Kick Aiming Arc: ON
    Previous Play Information: ON
    Camera Toggle: ON
    Tutorial Poopups: NA

Not causing trouble here but until tuned all off is the best too many people are used to d pad and that toggle seriously gives me a headache. I spend too much time trying to get it back. We have time for new features once the game is fixed when unstable the norm is best. Just my 2 cents...

If your opponent agrees, then you can turn the camera toggle to OFF. Otherwise, it will need to be ON.

I haven't changed any of the settings, fwiw. I guess some of what you listed/recommended is different than default though, right Doug?

We appreciate the feedback Danny, and I know that's the way some other leagues are going. We discussed that option and decided we didn't want to take away what are considered new "features" of the game for those that want to use them, to appease those that rather stick to the previous norm. Hopefully they fix the desync issue soon and everyone will be free to choose for themselves.

I wanted to address this where everyone can see it, as I know it has been discussed in the GroupMe chat.

If both opponents don't have matching settings (camera toggle, defensive graphics, kicking meter) then a desync (disconnect) WILL occur.

We have made it a league requirement that all users keep these settings ON (or FULL in the case of the defensive graphics).

However if BOTH USERS AGREE, you are permitted to turn any/all of these features OFF for any given match-up. Again, BOTH USERS MUST AGREE and HAVE THE SAME SETTINGS before you begin a game.

If there is any disagreement between owners, BOTH USERS MUST ABIDE by the LEAGUE REQUIREMENTS and keep the settings ON. I don't want to hear about any owners badgering their opponents to turn any settings off. If any owner wants to keep the settings ON, as the league requirements state, they are are under NO OBLIGATION to change them to appease their opponent.

I personally would suggest that everyone get used to the new settings, and make any adjustments necessary in their own play style to do so. Since we have no idea when/if the desync issue will be fixed, we could be dealing with this for quite a while. The last thing I want to see happen is someone who sticks with the "old settings" get stuck in an important game where their opponent isn't of the same mindset.

I've gotten used to using the settings as the league requirements state. My only concern will be the increase of desyncs we see because someone change settings one week and forgets to go back the next.

Which is another reason for everyone to use the same settings.

We initially were going with a hard requirement, but elected to be flexible and allow for the mutual agreement clause. If it becomes too big of a problem, it will be revisited.

My personal opinion after thinking about it is that the whole idea of being flexible is nice and all, but it's going to open us up to a lot more desync issues with people changing their settings back to toggle = off for that classic Madden feel. Then when they come up to play someone who refuses to switch between settings and completely forgets they changed them the previous week …..boom.

It's going to happen a lot more than you think.

Give it a chance. I plan on sticking with league required settings. Except for that camera toggle crap. I can live without that...

People should just get used to the toggle = ON settings. I suspect it won't be long until it's mandatory.

I mean, we couldn't even get it right with the settings posted

    Give what a chance?
