The winner of each game (or user if playing the CPU) must post a short game summary following their game. The summary must include the following:
    • Game Score
    • Key Team Stats
    • Key Individual Stats
    • Notes
This can be as basic or as simply as you would like to make it. However, the more engaging the posts are, the more invested other users will be in this thread and the league in general. Its up to you how much effort you want to put into it.

    Tim Tebow: 270yds 2 TD

Shonn Greene: 23 rush 82 yds

Jets Showed why they have the best defense in the league, causing 5 turnovers and shutting down the Buffalo Bills offense. The Jets do not agree with the passing slider seeing it caused Tim Tebow's already erradict throws to be even worse.

    Jacksonville at Minnesota
Final Score: JAX 17, MIN 10
The opening of the NFL regular season brought two potent teams from opposing conferences in the Minnesota Viking and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both teams went in the the opener looking to get their season started off on the right foot, with a victory that would put them on track for a playoff berth.
Both teams combined for 510 yards of offense, with Jacksonville putting up 270 to the Vikings' 240. The Vikings turned the ball over two times to the Jaguars' three times. However, an early fumble by Adrian Peterson would put the Vikings down two scores early in the second after a field goal by the Jaguars, and they would never quite recover, although a valient effort was put up towards the end of the game by the Vikes offensively.
Blaine Gabbert threw for 151 yards, 1 TD, and 2 interceptions. Maurice Jones-Drew led the way offensively for the Jaguars, putting up 126 yards and 1 TD on the ground off of only 15 runs.
Christian Ponder provided 172 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT for the Vikings. Adrian Peterson had a mediocre day at running back, gaining 68 yards on 17 attempts. Percy Harvin was the go-to man for Ponder, as he caught 7 passes for 73 yards on the day.

Good game to a very worthy opponent in majesty95 and here's to great games in the future!

    Titans Passing: 163
    Patriots Passing: 371
    Titans Rushing: 132
    Patriots Rushing: 80
    Jake Locker: 10 - 16, 163 yards, 1 TD
Chris Johnson: 20 att, 136 yards, 2 TDs
Kendall Wright: 4 rec, 60 yards, 1 TD

Stevan Ridley: 11 att, 60 yards
Brandon Lloyd: 4 recs, 121 yards, 1 TD
Pats first drive is a strong one but ends up with a Field Goal. Pats are looking good with a stop for the defense and Titans punting it off. Momentum changed once Titans RB Darius Reynaud took a punt to the house for 62 yards. He never got a punt return ever since as the punter starting kicking out of bounds. 2nd quarter as the Pats are driving getting into the Red Zone (Titans were having trouble stopping Tom Brady and his elite weapons) as the Pats are looking to take the lead. Titans CB Alterraun Verner INTs Tom Brady and takes it back to the house for a 99 yard INT return and Titans go up 14-3. With a few good runs by Chris Johnson, Titans take a big lead and finish with a win over Tom Brady and his New England Patriots. Our week 1 upset of the week as Patriots were favorite to win by a milestone! (I wish Titans won in real life!!)
Good game coachgaddy ... It was fun, I'm glad we are finally starting up the league and games are rolling! Good luck to you on the rest of the season.

    Pittsburgh Steelers vs Denver Broncos

The season kickoff with two good teams the steelers and the broncos after getting TEBOWED !!! in the playoffs last year the steelers wanted their revenge and most definitly got it today the game got off to a rough start as the steelers were marching down the field until an unusual lateral by WR. Antonio Brown which led to a fumble recovery by the broncos . Peyton Manning didnt waste anytime he capitalized on that and led his team down the field for a score 7-0. But the steelers bounced back with a touchdown of their own by Ben Roethlisberger with a 1 yard rush touchdown at the goal line for the tie. Then the broncos went up again but by a field goal thats when the steelers defense started to kick it. it was a whole lot of heavy hits and fumbles out there that change the course of the game. Willis Mcgahee coughed up the ball 2 twice which was force by the unstoppable force Troy Polamalu who which had it in for all the players on the denver broncos squad delivering vicious hits to almost each player who recieve the ball. Peyton manning also caused a turnover with 1 int which led to a Steeler return score. all in all turnovers was a HUGE differential in this game and when they say "Defense wins championships" steelers proved that today
    Key Stats: Passing
Ben Roethlisberger- 293 YDS 2 TDs
Peyton Manning- 339 YDS 1 TD 1 int
Rashard Mendenhall- 177 YDS 1 TD
Isaac Redman- 3 YDS 1 TD
Antonio Brown- 8 Rec 185 YDS 1 TD
Demaryius Thomas- 3 Rec 41 YDS 1 TD
also Lamar Woodley had 1 int and 1 TD

Summary: The game was pretty spread open early. the bears were able to out score the colts 17 - 0 in the first half and were able to extend the lead to 27 - 0 at one point. but the colts didnt give up scoring 14 unanswered points. The bears were able to get pressure on the rookie qb sacking him 4 times, including a couple of forced passes and runs. Lucks first game as a pro was a solid one. he was able to use his legs more effectively then this arm. Matt forte had a great game and with the receiving back scheme he was able to earn 100+ yards rushing and receiving. The Acquisition of LT clifton seemed to be a very valuable one holding dwight Freeney to 0 sacks. Matt forte is the player of the game

Chiefs Steal One From Falcons, Win in Overtime

    Picture 5.png
The Atlanta Falcons came into Arrowhead Stadium and outplayed the Kansas City Chiefs in nearly every facet of the game. They still could not win the game. The Chiefs escaped with a 20-14 overtime win in a thrilling season opener. Matt Cassel connected with Steve Breaston on a 68 yard touchdown in the overtime period leading the Chiefs to victory.
The Falcons won the toss to start overtime and elected to receive. They were driving down the field and into field goal range when Michael Turner took the handoff from Matt Ryan. He rushed to the right for about 3 yards but was hit by Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson causing him to fumble. Glenn Dorsey recovered the fumble for the Chiefs. On the next play Breaston caught a pass from Cassel and raced 68 yards to a score, and a Chiefs' win.
The Falcons have to be disappointed by this loss, as they dominated and controlled the entire game. The Falcons had to ball for 19:56 compared to the Chiefs' 9:18. Some of the blame was aimed at Falcons kicker Matt Bryant, who was 0-3 on field goal tries. Bryant missed a field goal right before the half, and had a chance to put the Falcons up 3 with less than 15 seconds but his kick hooked right.
The Falcons opened the scoring with a 16 yard TD run by Jason Snelling in the 1st quarter. The teams traded punts until the middle of the second when the Falcons punted to the recently acquired LaRod Stephens-Howling, who took it 77 yards to the house, tying the game at 7. The Falcons would take a 14-7 lead in the third quarter, on a 3 yard TD pass from Ryan to Gonzalez. Late in the fourth, with just under two minutes, the Chiefs would tie the game with a 3 yard Jamaal Charles scamper.
The Falcons (0-1) will look to bounce back next week playing at home vs the Denver Broncos (0-1). The Chiefs (1-0) will head to Buffalo to face the 0-1 Bills.

    Special Teams:
    D. Bailey 1-1 Fg / 4-4 XP
    L. Tynes 0-1 Fg / 3-3 XP

    F. Jones 98 yd kickoff return TD

    Time of Possesion
    Dallas 15:43
    NYG 12:17

It was a rainy day in New York, and Dallas got off to an early start. Marching down field for a TD on their first possession as Romo hit Austin on a go route. The Giants answered right back on their first drive of the game. Eli connected with Cruz and the salsa dancing began.

Dallas scored on their next drive, this time Murray punched it in from the 1 yard line. The Giants were stopped on the ensuing drive and Dallas once again marched downfield, and Murray hit paydirt for the second time in as many drives.

The Giants get the ball with under a minute in the half, needing to make something happen Eli throws a INT to S. Lee which is returned to the 2 yard line with just 2 seconds in the half...Dallas plays it safe and brings in Bailey for the chip shot field goal and the teams head to the locker room with Dallas up 24-7 at the half.

The Giants first drive of the second half stall and they're forced to punt, but they hold Dallas to a quick 3 and out and are right back in the drivers seat, and this time ELI(TE) Manning leads his team to an impressive touchdown drive, capped off with a pass to TE T. Beckum.

With a possible momentum swing coming and NYG fans ready for a big stop, Felix Jones takes the kickoff 98 yards for a TD and puts the Cowboys in the drivers seat again with a commanding 31-14 lead.

Never say never with Eli at the helm though, he once agiain engineers an outstanding drive that ends the 3rd quarter and they punch it in from the one as the 4th quarter begins. This time rarely used (in the running game) FB H. Hynoski catches the D off guard and get the TD to close the gap to 31-21.

On Dallas' next drive they feed Murray, over and over as he racks up yards and first downs and at the same time taking precious time off of the clock...Dallas gets to the Giants 41 yard line and face a critical 4th and 2. (too far for a FG in the rain) Dallas elects to go for it and try to put this one away...They line up in a run formation but opt to pass...Romo has Dez wide open down field, but over throws him forcing a turnover on downs and giving the Giants hope.

With just over 2 minutes and 3 timeouts, Eli takes over and marches downfield until they reach the Dallas 30 at which point the drive comes to a 4th and 10 situation...Giants go for the first down and....down goes Eli...sack....Dallas takes over and runs out the clock.

    Week 1: Dolphins vs Texans
    7 - 10

A loss for the Dolphins in week 1, Starting a rookie qb for the first time in 3 decades, R. Tannahill throw his first NFL td pass, but he also had 3 to's(2 int's and 1 fumble). He played well at times, but was on his back way to much. The offensive line needs to step it up to let the young qb find his receivers. A new system for the new coach, pay for proformance." When you don't block on a play you will not get paid. It's ok to make mistakes, but if you don't block the man in front of you, this is bad. Come on we are professionals. Just to many missed blocking assignments," Coach Waggoner was very upset at his offensive line play. "On the bright side, the defense played great, only giving up 10 points to a playoff team. We just need to put it all together. I'm calling out the offensive line, (blank), (blank)ing do your jobs." Coach Waggoner, throwing his clipboard down and storming off.

    Chargers 44 - Raiders 38
    Key Game Stats:
Chargers had over 540 yards of total Offense
Raiders had under 200 yards of Total Offense
Raiders had 263 kick return yards
Charger Special teams gave up 14 points
    Player Stats:
    Phillip Rivers 22/29 329 yards 4TDs 1int
Ryan Matthews 27car 100 yards TD
    Antonio Gates 6rec 104yards 2TD
    Chargers Defense 4int 1TD
Jacobi Ford 6KR 247 yards TD
Game Notes: The Chargers headed up to Oakland with one goal: don't get embarrassed. This was Coach Thames' first game leading a team since Madden 07. The Chargers jumped out to 14-0 lead after Carson Palmer threw 2 interceptions. The game was quickly getting away from the Raiders when Jacobi Ford ran a kick off back for a TD. The Chargers answered the return by operating a long methodical drive that was capped by an Antonio Gates TD. The raiders used a nice drive to score a TD but left time for the Chargers to put 3 more points on board. At the half the Chargers led 24-14. The 3rd quarter was pretty much owned by the Chargers but the Raiders' blitz began to become effective. They forced a interception and fumble. But it was the Chargers' Special Team blunders that let the Raiders back in the game. First on a kickoff the kick returner ran away from a ball that went in to the end-zone thinking it was going to be a touch-back (playing to much NCAA). The Raiders scored 17 unanswered points in the 4th quarter. With 4 seconds left in the 4th quarter, the chargers missed a 30 yard fg off the left upright to send the game to overtime. The Raiders got the ball first in overtime; but, once again the Chargers' defense stepped up, stopping the Raiders on a 4th and 1. The Chargers then marched down and scored on a 1yd TD rush with Ryan Matthews.
Note to Self: Work on Special Teams
Shocking News: Antonio Gates out 7 weeks. Got injured on the last play of regulation.
    Next up: vs Titans

Although Russel wilson had a decent game it was a little to late with a 58 yd strike in the middle of the 4 qtr to G. Tate to make it a 1 possesion game 27-21 Az. Then it was time for Beanie to get his motor running and got a field goal to seal it up. J. Skelton had a very good game with the exception of throwing an early pick 6.

Panthers Hold Off Tampa Bay 14 - 7
    Open 2012 with a Win
QB Cam Newton threw for 189 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Carolina debuted a stifling defense limiting the Bucs to only seven points. The injury-riddled Panthers did have some bad news after the game as WR Steve Smith (2 Rec, 112 Yds, TD) went down with a broken collarbone and will be out for at least 8 weeks. With TE Greg Olsen already out for an extended period of time, Carolina will have to depend on their defense and the running game as HB DeAngelo Williams should return next week.
Next week the Panthers play host to the New Orleans Saints (0-1).
