The winner of each game (or user if playing the CPU) must post a short game summary following their game. The summary must include the following:
    • Game Score
    • Key Team Stats
    • Key Individual Stats
    • Notes
This can be as basic or as simply as you would like to make it. However, the more engaging the posts are, the more invested other users will be in this thread and the league in general. Its up to you how much effort you want to put into it.

Here are some links to help out your summaries:
    Have fun!

    Browns survive 24-21 vs Raiders

    [IMG] @ [IMG]

The Browns, sitting at 6-5 and in 1st place in the AFC North, traveled to the Black Hole in Week 13 and were able to survive a scare against a very game Raiders team.

Weeden had another rough day only complete 9 of his 20 pass attempts for 172 yards, 2 ints and 1 touchdown...

The Browns went down 13-0 early, thanks to a few Erratic passes from Rookie QB Brandon Weeden... After it was clear that Weeden just didn't "have it" today, the Browns turned to their All Everything Rookie Tailback to save the day, and save the day he did...

Trent Richardson once again carried the Browns to a victory, rushing for 128 and 1 touchdown on 26 carries...

After being held to just 3 carries in the 1st quarter, Trent Richardson toted the rock 23 times over the course of the next 3 quarters and the Browns were able to climb back into the game and eventually take the lead for good in the 4th quarter...

Josh Gordon is becoming the Browns #1 WR in the Passing game, albeit, a very inconsistent Passing Game...

Despite the lack of a consistent passing game, It looks as if the Browns have found their #1 WR of the Future in Josh Gordon... Gordon has better hands than Greg Little and over the last two games has hauled in 7 passes for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns.

In a game where the Jets Automaticaly started 14-0 due to disconnect issues, clobber the Arizona Cardinal's Passing Attack offense, Winning 50-7. The Jets had amazing field position everytime, especially when the Cardinals started going for it on 4th down. From 5 turnovers caused by the Jets powerful defense, to the 4 sacks on John Skelton, the Cards had no chance from the getgo.

The Cardinals had only exactly 200 yards of total offense, while the Jets had a total 366 total yards of offense, 286 passing and 70 rushing.

    Week 13:

    (5-7)[IMG]@ [IMG](3-9)

    Final Score, Bills 24 - Jaguars 14

In a minor upset of sorts, the previously (2-9) Buffalo Bills pulled out a fairly easy win against the visiting (5-6) Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Bills - a team known for its frequent 20+ points - 0 halftime deficits - suprised themselves by being the ones to jump out to a 21-0 lead going into the 2nd Half.

Scoring on a 68-yard TD run from Fred Jackson mid-way through the 1st quarter, Buffalo quickly followed up with TD passes of 77-yards and 22-yards to WRs Brad Smith and Stevie Johnson respectively during the 2nd Quarter.

After adding 3 more points early in the 3rd, Buffalo would be done scoring for the day, instead relying on its run game and a surprisingly dominant Defense to keep their lead safe.

Jacksonville wouldn't lay down though and looked eager to take advantage of Buffalo's soft play.
An 8-yard TD pass to Justin Blackmon from Blaine Gabbert, followed by a successful 2pt Conversion narrowed the score to 24-8 with 5:44 left in the 4th. But the Jags would fail to retrieve the ensuing onside kick, allowing the Bills to run down the clock some more before being forced to punt.

Even with time running out on the game clock and needing 2 TDs plus two 2pt conversions just to tie, the Jaguars didn't give up. Blaine Gabbert threw another TD pass, this time to WR Brian Robiskie, bringing the score to 24-14 with 00:44 left. Unfortunately for them, this time they missed the 2pt conversion try and also were unable to retrieve the onside kick, allowing Buffalo to take a knee and come away with its 3rd win of the season.

    Key Stats of the Game:

    Buffalo:
    Passing: M. Sanchez - 147.3 QB Rating, 9/14 for 176 yards, 2 TDs 0 INTs
Rushing: Fred Jackson - 22 Rushes, 130 yards, 1 TD, Longest Run - 68 yards
Recieving: Brad Smith - 2 Recs, 84 yards, 1 TD, Longest Rec - 77 yards
    Defense: 4 Sacks, 2 INTs, 2 FFs, 1 FR
    Kicking: 3 FGA, 1 FGM

    Jacksonville:
Passing: Blaine Gabbert - 79.9 QB Ratiing, 20/34 for 275 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INTs
    Rushing: M. Jones-Drew - 10 Rushes, 43 yards
Recieving: Justin Blackmon - 4 Recs, 53 yards, 1 TD

Buffalo's Keys to Current and Future Success: Keeping the ball on the ground and utilizing the short pass game to minimize mistakes from the QB. Will need to do something about their Kicker, who has missed easy kicks for 3 games straight, including 2 misses against the Jags.

Jacksonville's Good and Bad Points: Had some success with star Running Back M. Jones-Drew, but was unable to utilize him to his fullest due to an early hole dug by frequent turnovers, including a fumble on the opening kickoff of the 2nd half.

While the final score, as a result of Blaine Gabbert's two 4th Quarter TDs, might paint a picture of a competitive game, Buffalo's win was all but certain by the 2nd Quarter. All of Jacksonville's points came against late-game, conservative play from the Bills.

Player of the Game: RB Fred Jackson

Saved them on my computer then uploaded to an image-hosting site that also did re-sizing (which I found via Google). Then just added it on here the normal way. Took about a minute or so :)

And thanks. I don't win much, so it was cool being able to do one of these

Chargers continue playoff push with a win over the Bengals
    [IMG]
San Diego, CA - The San Diego Chargers after a slow start, are suddenly surging towards the playoffs. The Blue Bolts took advantage of a strong ground game to control the clock and pound a helpless Bengals defense. HB Ryan Mathews continued his strong play rushing 24 times for 121 Yards and a TD. QB Philip Rivers since the benching, has taken care of the ball, throwing 16-22, 161 yards and a TD. The telling stat there was no turnovers. WR Malcolm Floyd chipped in with 5 catches for 54 yards, and TE Antonio Gates again found the endzone for the third straight game, catching 5 balls for 66 yards and a TD.
The Chargers are now 6-6 and if they finish strong could make the post season. Next week San Diego travels to the Steelers, where they look to keep their win streak alive.
    Final Score
    Chargers - 20

    Bengals - 13

    THRILLER IN ATLANTA
Falcons fall to Saints 34-31 at home
    [IMG]
    - The Saints came into the game 7-4 and leading their division. The game was filled with two powerful offenses driving up and down the field the whole game. Big play after big play. But ultimately, the Saints outlasted Atlanta and came out on top. Coach Copeland was raving about his offense saying they "played with passion and heart. They never gave up out there." He was not to pleased with his defense though, which gave up more than 400 yards of offense. He refused to comment on that side of the ball but let's just say I would hate to be a defensive player at the next Saint practice. The now 8-4 Saints travel to New York next week to face off against AveryB and the Giants.
    Stats:
    QB Jay Cutler - 14-23, 250 yards, 2 TD
HB Matt Forte - 13 rushes, 103 yards, TD
TE Jimmy Graham - 6 receptions, 83 yards, TD
WR Lance Moore - 2 receptions, 93 yards, TD
WR Devery Henderson (Player of the Game) - 3 receptions, 46 yards, 4 kick returns for 195 yards and a TD
MLB Curtis Lofton - 9 tackles (2 for loss)
CB Jerome Murphy - 4 tackles and an INT

Packers pick up big divisional win over rival Minnesota 27-17 in Lambeau

Green Bay hosted the Minnesota Vikings and picked up an impressive 27-17 win over their divisional rival. Turnovers were the key to this game as the Packers came out on top due to five interceptions forced by Christian Ponder. Aaron Rodgers struggled throughout the game completing only 10 of his 22 attempts for 120 yards. Rodgers threw for a pair of touchdowns with one interception.

Green Bay's strategy of stopping Adrian Peterson proved to be effective with AD rushing 16 times for only 40 yards. Although he did not have a great game himself, Packers' HB Cedric Benson was able to pick up 47 yards on the ground to outgain Peterson.

The Packers' air attack was able to spread the ball around to six different receivers on Rodgers' 10 completions. Leading the way for Green Bay was Greg Jennings with three catches for 58 yards. Jermichael Finley and Donald Driver would grab touchdown receptions this game.

This win moves the Packers to 9-3 on the season and gives them a two-game division lead over Minnesota and Detroit.

Dolphins beat Brady in South Beach, and the rest of the Patriots.
Brady couldn't handle the heat from the Dolphins, the extra time in Miami didn't help him.

    Dolphins 34
    Patriots 20

The Dolphin defense stepped it up the whole game. Brady was on fire for awhile, but the relentless Maimi defense caused 6 T.O.'s. To keep the crowd alive during the game. Rookie QB Tannehill puts up huge numbers against the Patriot defense, 297 yards passing with 2 TD's and no int's. His qb rating for the game was 111.7. Brady threw for 363 yards, 1 TD, 5 int's, and 1 lost fumble. Miami played a complete game, only turning the ball over once on a fumble. Both teams played hard, Patriot's are the way better team, just not to day. Anything can happen in the NFL!!!

    Player of the game:

    Alphonso Smith CB, 1Tak, 2 int's for 2 TD's.

    Offensive Players: Dolphins

    R.Bush HB 9 att for 66 yards, 1 rec. for 11 yards
DBess WR 9 rec. for 215 yards and 1 TD

    Patriot Offense:

    W.welker 5 rec. for 73 yards
    R.Gronkowski 4 rec. for 50 yards
    A.Hernandez 4 rec. for75 yards
    B.Lloyd 1 rec. for 80 yards and 1 TD

Lions shut out Colts 45 to 0
Lions defend home field and shut down the Indianapolis offense ... The Detroit offense continues to click and shows signs of improvement as the season wears on ... Mikel Leshoure continues to shoulder the rushing attack and taking the pressure off Matt Stafford ... even though the Lions racked up 380 yds of total offense, the longest play from scrimmage was a 22 yd pass ... the score at the half was 31 to 0 ... rookie Kellen Moore replaced Stafford mid way through the 3rd quarter, however he could not sustain consistent drives which caused the offense to sputter ... the last TD of the day for the Lions was a pick six by linebacker DeAndre Levy and on the same play Andrew Luck was knocked out the game ... overall a good showing by the Lions yet again and some valuable experience was gained for rookies and back ups in mop up duty

Chiefs Rally Past Panthers, Clinch Division
    VFLWeek13.png
    Player Of The Game
    Chiefs QB Matt Cassel
    11/21, 262 yards, 3 TDs 0 INT
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs magical run continues. The Chiefs were able to overcome a 10 point fourth quarter deficit and defeat the Panthers, 31-27. The win clinched the division for the Chiefs, just the third time in the past ten seasons.

The Chiefs got off to a rough start. On their first possession they went 3-and-out. The Panthers responded with a scoring drive capped off by a Cam Newton 11 yard run. On their next series Jamaal Charles fumbled. Panthers DE Charles Johnson scooped up the fumble and took it 46 yards to the house. Just like that, the Panthers led 14-0. Head coach Corey Lewers said Charles' recent fumbling is something that "will be addressed in practice".

Late in the first, Matt Cassel found TE Tom Crabtree to cut the Panthers lead in half. Carolina would add a Justin Medlock field goal, heading into the locker room with a 17-7 lead. After cutting the lead once again, the Chiefs gave up a 71 yard TD to Steve Smith, missing several tackles along the way. Heading into the fourth Carolina had a 10 point advantage and looked to be in prime position to give the Chiefs their first loss of the season.

However, the Chiefs would not go away without a fight. Matt Cassel connected with Dwayne Bowe for a 29 yard TD pass. This was Bowe's seventh game with a TD reception. He also cracked 1000 yards on the season, his third straight such season.

Carolina had a chance to all but put the game away late in the fourth. With just over 2 minutes left, the Panthers could not score a TD on a 1st and goal from the 8. They instead were forced to kick a FG, making their lead 27-21 with time winding down.

Three plays later, Matt Cassel hit Dexter McCluster with a 52 yard TD strike, giving the Chiefs their first lead of the game 28-27. It was McCluster only catch of the game, but definitely his biggest of the season. Needing only a field goal to win, the Panthers attempt to run the ball but DeAngelo Williams fumbled and the ball was recovered by Chiefs DE Tyson Jackson. Ryan Succop kicked a 49 yard field goal to increase the lead to 4.

With no timeouts and 1:30 left, the Panthers had one last chance. But Cam Newton's pass across the middle was picked off by Javier Arenas, giving the Chiefs their 12th victory of the season. This was a tough loss for the Panthers, who were looking to move into that 2nd wild card slot. Carolina (6-6) will need to refocus as they have a big divisional game vs the Falcons. The Chiefs will head to Cleveland to face the 7-5 Browns.
