The winner of each game (or user if playing the CPU) must post a short game summary following their game. The summary must include the following:
    • Game Score
    • Key Team Stats
    • Key Individual Stats
    • Notes
This can be as basic or as simply as you would like to make it. However, the more engaging the posts are, the more invested other users will be in this thread and the league in general. Its up to you how much effort you want to put into it.

Here are some links to help out your summaries:
    Have fun!

    Week 14:

    (3-10)[IMG]@ [IMG](4-9)

Bills Say They're Done With Losing
    Roll Over Rams, 23-7

In a battle between two (3-9) teams playing only for pride at this point, it was the Buffalo Bills who came out determined to win in this Week 14 match-up.

Flying high after their Week 13 performance against Jacksonville, Buffalo came into the game confident they could handle the Rams, who were coming off 8 straight losses. They’d discovered the keys to success the week before - keeping the ball on the ground to minimize mistakes by the QB, and relying on a recently dominate defense to snuff the opposing offense.

It was the Bills defense who were the stars of the game, harassing the Rams all day to the tune of 5 sacks, 10 tackles for losses, countless hurried passes, and 2 interceptions - one of which was returned for a TD. Coach Atkins was reportedly well pleased with the unit, specifically praising CB Stephon Gilmore who recorded the Pick Six early in the 1st Quarter for the game's first score. He also commended his defensive line for it's shutting down of Rams RB Stephen Jackson.

On the other side of the ball, Mark Sanchez showed why his team’s strategies call for him handling the ball as little as possible, as he went 8/21 for 97 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT, and 3 sacks. The Bills run game was the lone bright spot for the offense, with Fred Jackson rushing 17 times for 101 yards, effectively controlling the tempo of the game and giving the defense time to rest.

    Key Stats of the Game:

    Buffalo:
    Passing: M. Sanchez - 49.1 QB Rating, 8/21 for 97 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, Sacked 3 Times
    Rushing: F. Jackson - 17 Rushes, 101 yards, 5.9 avg, Longest Run - 29 yards
    Receiving: F. Jackson - 4 Recs, 44 yards, 1 TD / S. Johnson - 3 Recs, 30 yards
Defense: CB Stephon Gilmore - 4 Tackles (2 TFL), 1 INT, 1 TD

    St. Louis:
    Passing: S. Bradford - 55.3 QB Rating, 16/30 for 183 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, Sacked 5 Times
    Rushing: S. Jackson - 12 Rushes, 18 yards, 1.5 avg
Receiving: L. Kendricks: 2 Recs, 16 yards, 1 TD / Completed passes to 8 different receivers
Defense: MLB Josh Hull - 4 Tackles (3 TFL), 1 Sack, 1 INT, 1 FF

Buffalo’s Keys to Victory: Never let the Rams offense get comfortable, and frequently was set up with good field position thanks to its defense. All too often though, the offense did their best to squander their teammates' hard work.

St. Louis’ Good and Bad Points: Despite it's run-game never getting off the ground, its O-line showing more holes than a piece of Swiss Cheese, and its D-line allowing Fred Jackson to continually pick up crucial gains, there was one man on the St. Louis Rams who came ready to play: MLB Josh Hull. His sack and strip of Mark Sanchez early in the game left the QB rattled and looking over his shoulder all afternoon, causing him to force throws for fear of similar hits.

Player of the Game:CB Stephen Gilmore

Chargers beat Steelers, win 5 in a row - Inch closer to playoffs
    [IMG]
San Diego, CA - Games like these decide seasons, and Coach Smith Ellis let his Charger players know about it all week long.
"Coach really had us practicing hard all week, getting in our ear about this being our Superbowl. That if we wanted to make the playoffs it went through the Steelers" said HB Ryan Mathews.
The Steelers would control the game early, taking a 7-0 lead on a Rashard Mendenhall rushing TD. The Chargers would stall on their next drive, but CB Quintin Jammer came up big, Intercepting QB Ben Roethlisberger and taking it to the house to even up the score. The Steelers offense continued to click as WR Antonio Brown scored late in the second quarter to make it 14-7. The Chargers would answer right before the half on TE Antonio Gates 15 yard TD reception over the middle (His 6th straight game with a TD).
Clearly determined to control the clock, the Chargers would pound at that Steelers defense all of the second half, with Ryan Mathews scoring and almost eclipsing 100 yards on the ground for the 5th straight game. TE Todd Heap also scored catching a 10 yard strike over the middle to put the game out of reach 28-17.
The Chargers travel home to take on the Carolina Panthers next week.

    Final Score
    Chargers - 28
    Steelers - 17
    Chargers Total Yards: 352
    Chargers Total Rushing Yards: 116
    Chargers Total Passing Yards: 236

    QB Philip Rivers - 14-18, 243 yards, 2 TDs, 0 Turnovers
    QB Ben Roethlisberger - 20-30, 252 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

Tennessee Titans Bounce Back From Losing Streak Beat Colts 36-15
    chris-johnson.jpeg
In Coach Maniac's first game as coach of the Titans he led the team to their first victory in some time. The game was closer than the score indicates. At halftime the score was 9-7 Titans. The Colts started off the scoring in the first quarter as Austin Collie got behind the Titans defense and was wide open as Andrew Luck hit him for a 35 yard strike. In the second quarter the Titans got close but couldn't punch it into the endzone and settled for three field goals from 31, 25 and 48 yards by Bironas. Jake Locker and the receiving core kept the team in the game as Chris Johnson couldn't get anything going with the ground game. But it was more receivers than Locker, as they had a couple of catch and runs to get out of long third downs.
The Titans had a surge to open up the second half. Chris Johnson found a wide open hole on the left side of the line and used his game changing speed to take it 76 yards to the house. The following Colts drive Andrew Luck through a pick to Witherspoon who returned it 21 yards to the house. The Titans elected to go for 2 to make it a 17 point game but failed. The Titans defense held strong the next drive and put the ball back into the offense hands. Jake Locker found Jared Cook Jr. behind the Colts defense and he did the rest getting a 61 yard touchdown. "I'm surprised Cook was able to score off that, and I imagine the defense was as well. He is surprisngly quick for a tight end and I assume the defense thought they could get him from behind." said Coach Maniac. Michael Griffin clinched the game by forcing a fumble. The Titans reveled in the win even though their playoff hopes are dashed.
    Notable Stats:
    A. Luck 12/23 139 yds TD, 2 INT J. Locker 10/15 192 yds 1 TD, 1 INT C. Johnson 20 car. 131 yds 2 TD M. Moore 12 car. 49 yds TD A. Collie 2 rec 40 yds TD J. Cook Jr. 2 rec 90 yds TD

    Dolphins win again:

    Dolphins 20
    49er's 14

Another huge win for the Miami Dolphins!! A tough defensive battle in San Franisco. Turn-Over's were the diffence, and the QB play of Tannehill sealed the deal for Miami. Second game in a row where rookie QB didn't turn the ball over. Thats huge for a rookie, let alone playing the great 49er team (and the Patriots the week before).

    Player of the Game:

    QB R.Tannehill 15/28 for 271 yards and 2 TD's, rating of 110.8

    Dolphin Offensive Players:

    WR D.Bess 4 rec. for 51 yards
WR L.Robinson 4 rec. for 79 yards (carted off the field with injury)
WR T.Ginn 2 rec. for 51 yards and 1 TD

    49er's Offensive Players:

WR R.Moss 2 rec. for 90 yards and 1 TD,( he still has it!!)
    TE V.Davis 3 rec. for 44 yards

Great, tough team the Dolphins beat. 6 wins in a row for Miami, we are now 7-6, finally above .500. The team seems to be clicking, still having lots of dropped balls, but the team is overcoming them and playing hard and fast.

Brady bounces back in win vs Texans

Foxborough, MA. It started out tight as both offenses struggled in the redzone as their defenses held each other out of the endzone. Texans would go up 6-3 late in the 2nd quarter before Brady got his mojo going. Patriots would drive down the field mixing run with pass to keep the Texans defense guessing eating up the clock in the process. Late on the drive Brady would connect with Wes Welker along the sideline for the games first touchdown and a 10-6 halftime lead. Patriots would get the ball again in the beginning of the 3rd and Brady would get the offense going again on a scoring drive capped by a Ridley 1 yard run (17-6). Texans would not be denied as they would return the favor driving there offense down field ending with Schaub connecting with Owens Daniels to draw them even closer (17-13). After a couple defensive stops the final drive would be Brady's. Utilizing a combination of run vs pass that had the Texans completely off-balance. Danny Woodhead would put the patriots up 11 on a 5 yard td run (24-13). Texans would start their comeback but the Patriots defense was having none of that sacking Schaub causing a fumble to end the game.

SAINTS WIN CLOSE GAME IN NEW YORK
Last minute touchdown puts New Orleans at 9-4 on season
    [IMG]
    - Coach Copeland was very pleased with his team's late game mentality this week as New Orleans pulled out a 28-27 victory in New York agaisnt the G Men. The game was a back and forth grudge match that had the hottest team in the NFL (Saints) very worried. With a halftime lead of 21-17, the Saints knew they would need Jay Cutler to step up for his city. And step up he did. With less a minute left in the game, Cutler had arguably the best drive of his career. He led the Saints down the field after being pinned down to their own 9 yard line. With under 20 seconds left in the game, New Orleans needed a touchdown to win. With 20 seconds left and ticking with the ball on the Giants 9 yard line, Cutler snapped the ball and had all day to throw. He waited and waited and finally saw Graham break away from his man and threw a bullet to him to score with 14 seconds left in the game. Eli and the Giants tried their best to get into field goal territory but the stingy Saint defense manned up and came out on top. Next week, New Orleans stays home to host the winless Buccs.
    Stats:
QB Jay Cutler: 13-22, 369 yards, 4 TD and 3 INT
HB Matt Forte: 20 att, 111 yards, 3 rec, 84 yards and a receiving TD
TE Jimmy Graham: 5 rec, 84 yards, and a TD
WR Lance Moore: 2 rec, 68 yards, and a TD
WR Marques Colston: 2 rec, 113 yards, and a TD
ROLB David Hawthorne: 7 total tackles
    - CB Jabari Greer and SS Roman Harper both had an INT

Chiefs Play Less Bad Than Browns, Leave Cleveland With Win
    Picture 1.png
    Player Of The Game
    Chiefs HB Jamaal Charles
    20 carries for 106 yards, 1 TD, 3 catches for 78 yards
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- In an ugly, sloppy game, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Cleveland Browns 22-10. The Chiefs struggled for much of the first half, mustering just 5 points courtesy of a field goal and a safety. Fortunately the defense held the Browns to just a field goal, and Kansas City entered halftime with a 5-3 lead.
The second half the defense continued to dominate while the offense was able to do enough for the Chiefs to win. Jamaal Charles led the Chiefs with 106 rushing yards and 78 receiving yards. He also scored a TD on a 1 yard run in the fourth that all but sealed the game.
The Kansas City defense was able to confuse Browns rookie QB Brandon Weeden all game. Weeden completed just 29% of his passes and threw for 149 yards. Trent Richardson was able to average 5.5 YPC but Cleveland all but abandoned the run game after falling behind in the 3rd. Had they kept feeding Richardson, this might have been a different game.
The Chiefs will need to play much better as they take on the Oakland Raiders next week. A win in Oakland would clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs for the Chiefs. The Browns, with a 2 game division lead, will host the struggling Redskins.

    Panthers Win Rematch Over Falcons
    Stay in Playoff Hunt
Carolina HB Jonathan Stewart had his first breakout game of the season with 177 yards on the ground and a touchdown, the defense had another great game allowing less than 200 yards, and the Panthers prevailed in their rematch with NFC South rival Atlanta 24 - 3. QB Cam Newton had a solid game going 10/14 with a TD but only 141 yards passing. He didn't need to do much though as Carolina built a 3 TD lead behind Stewart's legs by midway through the 3rd quarter. With the win the Panthers stay 2 games behind New Orleans for the division lead and just a game behind Minnesota for the last playoff spot in the NFC.

Cowboys take care of business against Bengals, 30-20
    dez & miles.jpg

    Passing:
    Romo: 23-36 299 yds, 3 TD, 2 Int
    Dalton: 5-28 188 yds, 2 TD, 1 Int

    Rushing:
    Jones: 13-87
    Tanner: 14-51
    Scott:-9-10

    Receiving:
    Bryant 9-117 1 TD
    Wittin 4-46 1 TD
    Austin 4-74 1 TD

    Green 7-93
    Sanu 2-66 1 TD
    Scott 2-12 1 TD

Romo was sacked 6 times and pressured throughout the game but managed to keep his cool (besides the 2 picks) and propel Dallas to their 12th win of the season, which clinched them a playoff spot. The big three (Witten, Dez, Austin) were the big contributors on offense again, account for all three of Dallas’ touchdowns, while Jones and Tanner filled in admirably for the insured D. Murrary.

Dalton had time in the pocket and he hooked up with A.J. Green consistently throughout the game (7-93) Sanu came through with a big TD catch, but the defense couldn’t stop Dallas on critical third down situations and it showed. They allowed Dallas to convert 66% on third downs while they only managed to convert on 33%.

    Game notes:
Romo - Season high 36 pass attempts
    D. Bryant – career high streak of six straight games with a TD reception

    Next up: Steelers

    Vikings 37, Bears 10
MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota --- Adrian Peterson had one of the best performances of his career, gaining 230 yards and scoring three touchdowns. Christian Ponder added 203 yards passing and a touchdown as the Vikings routed the rival Bears for the second time this season 37-10.
The Minnesota defense held Chicago to just 213 yards of offense and a paltry 17 yards on the ground. Drew Brees also turned the ball over twice as the Bears never seemed to find their rhythm.
Sorry for the late and short post. I hated this game because AD broke off two long runs early and I spent the rest of the game running into tackles trying to get his stats down. It was one of those game where I could do no wrong and the Bears could do no right. It was really frustrating.

I just had the same problem except passing. I hit Wright wide open over the middle and he took it to the house and Washington got off his press and I hit him immediately and he was gone for six.

    Titans 40 Jets 14
Coach Fountain secured his second victory today over the Jets. The Titans put up 393 total yards of offense and forced 4 Tim Tebow interceptions, including Tebow's first pass of the game. But the Titans also turned the ball over, with Chris Johnson and Jared Cook Jr. each fumbling the ball after a hard hit. "We gotta fix the turnover bug if we want to beat Rodgers and the Packers next week," Coach Fountain said at the postgame press conference. Tennessee held the Jets to 40 yards rushing and forced a safety en route to a strong defensive performance.
The Jets started off with the momentum going up 7-3 early after Calvin Pace returned a Chris Johnson fumble 25 yards for a touchdown. But then lost all of that momentum as Tennessee scored 16 quick points including a safety. It was clear Jake Locker was in control today, throwing for 3 TDs one each to Wright, Britt and Washington. In all seven different receivers caught a pass for the Titans. Chris Johnson once again topped the 100 yard mark for the second straight week under Coach Fountain. With the majority coming on a 44 yard run for a score in the first.
The Titans look forward to facing the Packers next week.
