The winner of each game (or user if playing the CPU) must post a short game summary following their game. The summary must include the following:
    • Game Score
    • Key Team Stats
    • Key Individual Stats
    • Notes
This can be as basic or as simply as you would like to make it. However, the more engaging the posts are, the more invested other users will be in this thread and the league in general. Its up to you how much effort you want to put into it.

The Eagles came into the dessert thinking they were going to walk away with an easy W. That is until they ran into Calais Cambell and the Arizona defense. M. Vick was running for his life as the Cards forced 4 turnovers and sacked Vick 3 times. For the Cardinals offensively Big Beanie Wells set the whole flow of the offense with his 2 tds and 179 yards on the ground which led the eagles D to over pursue and leave Skelty to throw for over 300 yds for his 3rd straight game and 3 tds to go along with it. It was an excellent effort by Big John and his Eagles but the Cardinals had to redeem themselves after allowing the Patriots to score 52 on them the previous week.

Oakland Raiders defeat Pittsburgh Steelers 28-16

This was definitely a tale of two halves. Despite starting off strong the Raiders shot themselves in the foot time and time again with turnovers (4 total - 1 int, 2 fumbles, 1 turnover on downs at the Pit 1). Despite not converting a third down in the first half Pittsburgh stayed strong and put up points when they could going into halftime up 10-0.

Raiders came firing back scoring 15 straight (including a safety in the fourth quarter) but Pittsburgh answered back with a touchdown of their own making the score 16-15 (failed to convert two point). Raiders came down to a 3rd and 15 at midfield with 1:30 remaining and Carson Palmer found David Ausberry for the score with a great run after the catch. The game was sealed almost immediately when Big Ben through a pick six to Rolando McClain.

    Top Raiders stats:
    Carson Palmer 15/34 237 yds 1 td 1 int
    Terelle Pryor 2/2 38 yds 1 td

Darren McFadden 19 car 140 yds

David Ausberry 5 rec 139 yds

    Top Steelers stats:
    Ben Roethlisberger 19/46 233yrds 1 td 3 ints

Rashard Mendenhall 4 car 16 yds 1 td

Antonio Brown 7 rec 121 yds

Jets Hold on to a Thriller!!!

    Capture.PNG

On a Sunday afternoon, in hot Miami, the New York Jets held on to a tough game versus the Miami Dolphins. The Jets led by Tim Tebow ran a balanced offense to Victory. The Dolphins hung in there with Ryan Tannehill passing fairly well. The Jets secondary dropped about 7 interceptions and didn't finally get one to a key pivotal moment in the ending stages of the fourth quarter. On a hb screen play, the Jets line man jumped the route and got a huge pick. However, the Jets gave the Dolphins two chances at the end to get back into it by not successfully running out the clock by achieving first downs.

The Jets also showed why they are the biggest hitters in the league, BREAKING 2 Collarbones of Miami Dolphin players, Including Reggie Bush!

The Falcons won their second game in a row in thrilling fashion. While the Chargers took control early, the Falcons had a key drive late for a go ahead TD and sealed the game with a pick 6 with 2 minutes left in the game.

Matt Ryan shook off a interception in the endzone late in the second quarter and found rhythm with superstar Julio Jones. He threw TD passes to Michael Turner and Julio Jones. While Michael Turner failed to do much on the ground, including coughing up a fumble in the fourth quarter with his team losing 14-10, he came through in the clutch.

The Falcons defense continued to show its dominance, limiting the Chargers to under 200 total yards. They intercepted Phillip Rivers when leading 17-14 and Asante Samuel took it the house to seal the victory. Ray Edwards and John Abraham each had two sacks a piece to continue the trend of speed edge rush pressure, forcing Rivers to many hurried throws.

The Chargers started very strong, and showed why they were among the top teams in the league. Their run defense held up through most of the game, however, Julio Jones and the Falcons pass offense proved to be too much.

    Great game, bigtubb_

Chiefs Roar Back, Slip By Saints

    Player Of The Game
    Chiefs K Ryan Succop
    4-4 FG, Long of 51, 3-3 XP

This game was a tale of two halves. The Saints dominated the first, led by Jay Cutler's 3 TD passes. At the half, the Saints had a comfortable 17 point lead.

But the Chiefs made the neccesary second half adjustments and came out on a mission. The Chiefs scored 26 straight points before allowing a late game TD pass. This however would prove to be too little, too late, as the Chiefs would recover the onside kick and run out the clock. Two fourth quarter interceptions by Jay Cutler proved to be too much to overcome. The Saints were also hurt by the absence of Matt Forte, who was knocked out of the game with an injury.

The Chiefs look to stay undefeated next week when the Chargers come into town. The Saints will hope to get their first win against the visiting Packers.

After cooling down for 10 minutes in the locker room, coach Eckels finally decided it was time to give his press conference after the humiliating defeat handed to his team at their home stadium by the Houston Texans. When asked what the biggest issue his team was facing, he simply said the running game. When pressed further about the issue, he revealed that the Broncos were forced to somewhat abandon their running game early after another fumble By Willis McGahee. Although they were able to recover the ball this time, the Broncos simply couldn't risk another 4 fumble game after working so hard on protecting the football. With the running game out of the way, the Texans' pass rush was able to obliterate the Broncos front line, sacking Manning 6 times and hitting the poor, battered vet several more times. As if that wasn't bad enough, the Texans put on display just how valuable their top back, Foster (whom the Broncos have been courting for some time now), can be all game long. Eckels joked in his press conference about wrapping up and how easily Foster seemed to break tackles. "It doesn't matter what plays I call if the defense is going to be lazy and try to arm tackle a great back like that," Eckels said. On Manning's two interceptions for the game, Eckels attributed them to the fact that they are without Demaryius Thomas as both came on plays their top receiver likely would have out jumped and out muscled the defensive back on. Decker and Caldwell just couldn't pull off the same plays, especially when Manning didn't have nearly enough time to give them a chance to get proper separation. When asked for any positives he could come up with for the game, Coach Eckels mentioned Manning's quick passes that started to develop late in the game. Unfortunately, he said, these were useless as the Texans seemed to always find a way to sack Manning and put the Broncos in a position where they needed long yardage. As for how he plans to move on from this week, Eckels said he planned to have a short memory and increase his focus on making a deal for a trade.

Lions hold off the Titans and capture first win of the season, 31 to 21

This game was a defensive battle through the first half of action as the Lions went into halftime leading 10 to 0 in Nashville ... The Lions defense came to play, which was a nice change, as they limited Chris Johnson to 5 carries on 26 yds ... Jake Locker had a heck of a game, and should get consideration for rookie of the week award ... even though the stats don't tell all of the story, he was clutch at different times during the game and kept the ball moving

The Lions offense finally decided to show up now that we are in week 3 of the season ... Matt Stafford looked like his old self throwing 14 of 25 for 248 yds with 3 tds and 1 int ... Alongside Stafford, Jahvid Best rushed 23 times for 96 yds ... the Lions finally showed a nice balance of run and pass and that they are capable of playing a stout defensive game

Great game Crespo6 ... I game in looking for Johnson to pound the rock but you really caused me to adjust to play the pass ... starting really picking me apart in the 4th qtr ... glad we weren't playing 8 min quarters! Good luck the rest of the season!

The Cleveland Browns were able to get their first win of the Season, knocking off the Bills 29-7 at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

The Browns jumped out to an early 10-0 lead in the 1st quarter and never looked back from there.

Trent Richardson was the workhorse that everyone expected him to be in this game. Rushing the ball nearly 30 times for 180+ yards and 2 touchdowns. Trent was in "beast mode" all game long. Its a good thing too, because Brandon Weeden did not have his best game, only completing 9 of his 20 passing attempts on the day.

The Browns Defense played well. Joe Haden held Stevie Johnson to only 1 or 2 catches on the day and the Browns front 4 was able to get a decent pass rush most of the game.

Panthers Hold Off Super Bowl Champs

Carolina QB Cam Newton had a lackluster performance and Giants QB Eli Manning threw for almost 300 yards with a TD, but the Panther defense came up big with a fumble and interception returned for touchdowns as they upend the reigning Super Bowl Champs 28 - 21 to stay undefeated.

    E. Biggers, Q. Black and M. Lewis each had 1 sack (and 1 TFL)
Dallas did not dissapoint in their home opener. Dallas' Defense held the Bucs offense to just 129 total yards and J. Freeman completed just 23% of his passes and was picked off three times (one returned for a TD late in the game). On the other side of the ball Romo completed 68% of his passes and threw three TD passes. D. Murray was a non factor as he was hurt early on but F. Jones stepped up and had a admirable 8.7 YPC on 14 carries...Dez Bryant got nicked up after catching a fade pass in the endzone in the first quarter but came back in after the half and finished with 122 yards and 2 tds.
Coach John Baden said after the game that Murray's injury was not serious and he will be in the line up next Monday night against the Chicago Bears. He was very pleased by the Defensive effort put forth tonight and was gald to see his Defense force several turnovers that set up the offense with great field position. When asked about Romo's performance so far, he simply stated "amazing".
Next up: Chicago Bears on Monday Night

The Packers beat the Seahawks on Monday Night Football 38-0. The win puts the Packers at 3-0 and on top of the NFC North division.

The game started rough for the Packers offense with two quick interceptions from Aaron Rodgers, but he was able to recover nicely throwing for 255 yards on the night.

After taking an early lead, Cedric Benson saw higher than normal playing time. Despite one fumble, Benson was able to steadily gain yards and keep the ball in the Packers' possession.

Next week the Packers will face the New Orleans Saints.

    Jacksonville at Indianapolis
In a game that should've been a hard-fought battle between two bottom-dwellers in the AFC South early in the season, the Jaguars intercepted the ball on the first play of the game and never looked back. Jacksonville had opened up a 28-point lead before the half, including an awe-dropping 110-yard punt return off of a short 51-yard field goal attempt that was brought all the way back to the house for a touchdown that made the game 28-0 Jacksonville at the end of the first half. Jacksonville scored two more touchdowns before the Colts managed to get their offense rolling in the third. But, by then, they were well out of the game. The Colts put up a valiant struggle, but in the end big passing plays by Blaine Gabbert and a steady rushing contributor in Maurice Jones-Drew propelled the Jaguars to victory. Final score: JAX 48 - IND 21
    Key Contributors
    Jacksonville:
    • Blaine Gabbert threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns off of only 9 passes. His yard total was helped out by some great evasive manuevers by his wideouts, who turned short-yardage slant and curl routes into huge 50-80 yard monstrosities.
    • Maurice Jones-Drew finally had a great game running the football, going for 161 yards and a TD off of 23 attempts. Greg Jones and Rashad Jennings accounted for the other 2 rushing touchdowns.
    Indianapolis:
    • Andrew Luck carried the Colts on his back today, throwing for 201 yards and running for 68 yards while scoring all three of the Colt's touchdowns (2 passing, 1 running)
    • Austin Collie caught 6 passes for 135 yards and a TD, proving that he is Andrew Luck's go-to receiver in the passing game.
Jacksonville will look to keep the momentum going when they square off against the Bengals in what should be a great Week 4 matchup.
