The winner of each game (or user if playing the CPU) must post a short game summary following their game. The summary must include the following:
    • Game Score
    • Key Team Stats
    • Key Individual Stats
    • Notes
This can be as basic or as simply as you would like to make it. However, the more engaging the posts are, the more invested other users will be in this thread and the league in general. Its up to you how much effort you want to put into it.

    Houston Texans vs Tennessee Titans
    56-49
Game Summary - Easily the game of the week. A blood shot shootout against two teams who hate each other. This game started off 7-7 with both teams scoring off of pick sixes. Houston QB Matt Schaub started his first two drives with 2 interceptions but leads his team to victory throwing 3 touchdowns the remainder of the game with 0 interceptions. The Houston offense downright destroyed the Titan defense. But defense? This game wasn't about defense. The Houston defense dominated but allowed too many big plays to happen. 1st down was not Tennessee's friend as they hardly ever converted more then 1-2 yards each first down. However on 3rd down is where they executed there touchdowns. Long plays to rookie WR Kendall Wright killed the Texan secondary. A transition may be in the works at safety with the poor safety play that was witnessed in this game. The poor Houston secondary gave up 6 touchdowns in a disastrous output by the back end of the defense. RB Arian Foster is making a case for MVP with another 3 touchdown game. He now leads the league in yards as a running back. Andre Johnson also had a huge game with 10 catches 164 yards and 1 touchdown. The vicious Texan defense displayed another great showing upfront with 6 sacks which brings their total to 21 on the season which is leading the league by far. Can anyone stop that front 7? The Texans are now 4-0 and leading the division.

Chiefs Manhandle Chargers, Improve To 4-0
    VFLWeek4.png

    Player Of The Game
    Chiefs HB Jamaal Charles
    21 carries for 146 yards, 2 TDs

KANSAS CITY (AP) -- The Kansas City Chiefs keep looking more and more impressive each week. The Chiefs defeated the visiting Chargers 34-10, dominating defensively and using a balanced attack on offense. The Chiefs defense held the Chargers to 118 total yards on offense, forcing 3 turnovers and sacking Philip Rivers 3 times.

Matt Cassel had his best game of the young season, throwing for 297 yards and 2 TDs. He did however, throw a pick 6 to CB Antoine Cason, so there is always room for improvement. Jamaal Charles was his usual fantastic self rushing for 146 yards and 2 TDs, including a 46 yard TD run in the 1st quarter that got the Chiefs going.

The Chargers were without star TE Antonio Gates and WR Vincent Brown, who both clearly could of helped the Chargers passing attack.

The Chiefs will face a big test next week vs the Baltimore Ravens. The Chargers will look to rebound when they travel to New Orleans to face the Saints.

    Cowboys 38 - Bears 21
DeMarco Murray shines as Cowboys defeat Bears 38-21
    murray.jpg
    GAME BALL
    D. Murray: 25 att, 197 yds, 3 TD's

    Passing:
    Romo: 7-18 180 yds 1 TD
    Brees: 20-32 281 yds 2 TD 4 int

    Rushing:
    Murray: 25-197 3 TD
    Sproles: 11-61 1TD

    Receiving:
    Austin 3-64
    Wittin 2-37
    Ogletree 2-79 1td
    Marshall 4-44 1td
    Hester 5-137 1td
    Sproles 5-27

    Defense:
    Jenkins & Carr 1 int / Church 2 int (1td)
    Ware & Coleman 1 sack
Carter & Jenkins 1 fumble rec.
    T. Jennings 1 Fumble rec. (3 tak)
    Wright / Briggs 4 tackles

On a night when T. Romo had trouble with his accuracy and Dez Bryant gets held without a catch, D. Murray steps up...in a big way. Murray totaled 197 yards on 25 carries and reached pay-dirt 3 times. The offensive line did a good job opening up some running lanes for Murray and he did the rest.

    D. Brees was pretty accurate, but let a few passes get away from him which the Cowboys Defense capitalized on, picking him off 4 times (one getting returned for a TD). One pass was right off Marshalls hands and scooped up by M. Jenkins as it was about to hit the ground. The Cowboys won the turnover battle ending with a +5 turnover differential.

    Game notes:
    K. Ogletree scored his first career touchdown in the first quarter on a 54 yard TD on 3rd and 7.
    M. Austin has yet to record a 100 yard receiving game this year.
First game this season that Dallas didn’t allow a sack.
    D. Bryant held without a catch for the first time this season.

Next up: Bye week (@Ravens week 6)

    UPSET AT LAMBEAU
    [IMG]
The previous 0-3 New Orleans Saints came into hostile Lambeau Field of the Packers Thursday as major underdogs. The Packers were undefeated and had all the momentum coming into the game. But, Jay Cutler and the Saints came into the game strong and had a big 24-14 lead at halftime. In the 3rd quarter both teams added a TD to make the game 31-21 going into the 4th. The Packers were very upset and showed their heart, putting up 10 unanswered points on the Saints including a 37 yard FG by Mason Crosby with only 21 seconds left in the game. The Saints decided to take the safe way out and just ran out the rest of the clock to send the game into OT. In OT the Packers never saw the ball. The Saints gambled on 4th down twice, both with runs by FB Ted Collins and HB Matt Forte. The Saints then ended the game with a 9 yard TD pass from Jay Cutler to the talented Jimmy Graham. Coach Copeland had nothing but high praises for his team after the game, saying he "was very impressed with the heart of the guys. To start first 3 weeks without a victory was tough, but they came out here today with their eyes set on victory and they weren't settling for anything less." The Saints next game will be at home next Sunday against the Chargers.
    KEY STATS:
QB Jay Cutler: 14-20, 412 yds, 4 TD, 0 INT
HB Matt Forte: 34 Attempts, 119 yds, TD
TE Jimmy Graham: 4 Rec, 74 yds, 2 TD
WR Devery Henderson: 3 Rec, 102 yds, TD
    PLAYER OF THE GAME:
    QB Jay Cutler
The QB was absolutely amazing in this one. After a not so stellar few weeks, Cutler stepped up for his team and lead them to victory. He threw for 412 yards and 4 touchdowns, but the most impressive stat of the day for him, considering is mistakes earlier in the season, was the 0 under the interception column.
    Great game, thoov08

    AZ Cardinals 35 - MIA Dolphins 7

    J. Skelton 16-23 320 yds 4 td 1 int 133.6 total QBR
    M. Floyd 5 Rec 114 Yds 1 Td
    R. Housler 4 Rec 88 Yds 1 Td
    L. Fitzgerald 3 Rec 69 Yds 2 Td
    B. Wells 23 Car 97 Yds ! Td

    R. Tannehill 9-24 127 Yds 1 Td 2 Int 34.5 Total QBR
    T. Ginn 1 Rec 70 Yds 1 Td
    D. Bess 4 Rec 42 Yds
    L. Miller 9 Car -0.4 Yds

The Miami Dolphins came into the desert where the Cardinals defense has been red hot the past 2 weeks. Holding the Dolphins to just 84 yards total offensively. The importance of R. Bush to this offense was eminent today as rookie Halfback L. Miller was held to negative 0.4 yds on 9 carries. The Cardinals defense was led by Adrian Wilson's early 2 picks. Collectively as a team the Cardinals recorded 11 TFL, 5 sacks & 2 picks. Although the game score doesn't indicate that the Dolphins ever had a chance they actually only trailed by 7 at the half as it looked as the Cardinals offense got off to a slow start. The second half was a different story. The Dolphins wide outs really let their rookie QB down as it seemed every time the rookie did make a good throw the wide outs would just drop it. The Dolphins just could not seem to get any momentum and the Cardinals came out victorious once again and improve to 3-1. The Dolphins head out to Cincy next week to try and get their first win of the year. The Cardinals head out to St Louis to face their division rival Rams for a Thursday night prime time match up.

Jets Win 31-28, Improve to 3-1.

Jets win in a run heavy game. The game was tight the whole way and came down to big special teams and defensive plays. Joe McKnight returned a punt for a touchdown to tie the first half at 21-21. Then Darrel Revis returned a pick 6 to put the Jets ahead. The 49ers got a big kick off return and scored on the very next play. With 2:06 left the Jets kicked a field goal to take a 31-28 lead. Finally, a Laron Landry interception sealed the win for the Jets.

Lions mount late rally to defeat Vikings 22 to 21
The game started out as a defensive struggle through the first two halves of action ... Midway through the 2nd quarter, the Lions threatened by getting down to the Vikings 5 yd but wasted 3 downs trying to get into the endzone, the last play being a wide open pass to TE Tony Scheffler who just flat out dropped the ball ... Jason Hanson kicked in a FG that bounced off the upright, barely called good ... The action intensified at as the 1st half came to a close ... Christian Ponder orchestrated the no huddle offense methodically down the field as he capped off the drive with a pass to TE Rudolph for the first TD of the game ... The Vikes left about 40 seconds on the clock and Matt Stafford drove the Lions into FG territory at which point Hanson added another FG ending the half Vikes 7 and Lions 6
The second half started to kick up half way through the 3rd quarter after Ponder found Harvin on a slant pass that resulted in a TD pass of 46 yds ... Stafford again answered the Vikings TD by hitting a streaking Calvin Johnson down the field as there was no one left over the top of CJ ... 2pt conversion failed ... score 14 to 12 ... as the game wore on and entered the 4th qtr, Adrian Peterson then returned from a hamstring injury and ran the ball 40 yds to the 2 yd line ... AD ended up punching the ball in ... score 21 to 12 ... There was an opportunity to run a little bit more time off the clock and maybe the Vikings coaching staff felt the game was out of reach and were unaware of how this game would play out ....
With just over 3 min left in the game Matt Stafford ran the no huddle methodically down the field setting up a TD pass to Titus Young bringing the score to a 21 to 19 pt lead with about 1 min left on the clock ... ... Still down by 2 pts the Lions made the decision to go for the onside kick and special teams came through as they recovered the ball after hitting a Minnesota player ... a few quick passes down the field and Detroit was in business inside the 20 yd line yet again ... what was impressive about these last two drives is that Stafford was clutch and completed 7 passes in a row when his team needed him the most ... Detroit ran the clock down for a last second FG attempt which resulted in a come from behind victory vs their division rivals, the Northmen

    Jacksonville vs Cincinnati
Week 4 brought together two teams looking to solidify their position early on in this young season. The game was close until the end, with the game winning winning points in overtime coming off the heels of Maurice Jones Drew, who ran for 157 yards and a TD on 24 attempts. Blaine Gabbert threw for 160 yards, 1 TD and 2 interceptions, a meh day for the Jaguars quarterback. The real story was on special teams however. Jacksonville turned the ball over twice on kickoffs, keeping Cincinnati in the game until the very end. Andy Dalton was methodical, throwing for 219 yards and a TD while only throwing three incompletions. Jacksonville was victorious, 19-13 in OT, putting them at 3-1 and 2nd in the AFC South in this young season second only to the Texans. Cincinnati falls to 1-3 and is floundering as their running attack hasn't come to fruitation and given the Bengals a second dimension to their passing attack. The Jaguars need to look on reducing their turnovers if they want to have a shot against the defensive-minded Bears next week.

The Falcons defeated the Panthers 22-20 on a last second FG by Matt Bryant as time expired.

The game was won on the arm of Matt Ryan who threw for 297 yards and TD to Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez. Julio Jones continued to become the best WR in the game with 8 catches for 154 yards. The Falcons continued to struggle in establishing the run. Michael Turner had only 45 yards on 16 attempts.

The Panthers thought to have the game won scoring a go ahead TD with 2 minutes left. However, the 2 point conversion was stopped, leaving the door open for the Falcons. The drive was successful, down to the 10 yard line, leaving a chip shot that not even Matt Bryant could miss.

The Falcons defense conitnued its dominance up front, but not without a price. John Abraham broke 2 ribs and is now out 6 weeks. He broke them sacking Cam Newton, who had an amazing game, with 247 yards and 3 TDs.

    Great game all around!

    Browns defeat Ravens 17-7

Trent Richardson, fresh off his 150+ yard games we stifled vs a stingy Ravens Defense, only rushing for 43 yards on 21 carries... In fact, the entire Browns Offense was completely lost vs the Ravens star studded Defense... Future Hall of Famers, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed were all over the field, and DT Hali Ngata was blowing through the Browns Offensive live all game long... Despit only gaining 101 yards of Total Offense,,, yes, I said 101 yards of TOTAL Offense, the Browns were able to steal a huge division game from the Ravens 17-7...

"The Defense won the game for us today... We couldn't do anything right on the Offensive side of the ball... Hopefully, we'll be able to hold up our end of the bargain next week"
    -Browns QB Brandon Weeden

The Browns Defense forced 7 turnovers on the day... The Browns defense picked off Joe Flacco 5 times and forcing 2 fumbles on the day and forced two more turnovers by way of the fumble...

Browns All Pro return man Josh Cribbs returned a punt 81 yards for a touchdown and Trent Richardson scored 1 touchdown.

    STATS - *These aren't pretty*

    QB Brandon Weeden - 4/17 - 55yds - 1int - 16.0 QB Rating
    HB Trent Richardson - 21car - 43yds - 1td
    MLB D'Qwell Jackson - 8 tackles - 2tfl
