The winner of each game (or user if playing the CPU) must post a short game summary following their game. The summary must include the following:
    • Game Score
    • Key Team Stats
    • Key Individual Stats
    • Notes
This can be as basic or as simply as you would like to make it. However, the more engaging the posts are, the more invested other users will be in this thread and the league in general. Its up to you how much effort you want to put into it.

Chiefs Win Ugly Game In Tampa Bay

    Picture 1.png
    Player Of The Game
    Chiefs SS Eric Berry
7 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 pass deflection
TAMPA BAY, FL -- The Kansas City Chiefs did what they had to do. They went into Tampa Bay and beat the winless Buccanneers 21-13. Led by SS Eric Berry, the Chiefs defense was able to force 5 turnovers and lead the team to victory. The offense mustered just 164 yards but did not turn the ball over.
After falling behind 10-0 in the first quarter, the Chiefs battled back to take a 14-10 halftime lead. The Bucs moved the ball well at times against the Chiefs but 4 interceptions and a lost fumble doomed them.
Matt Cassel threw 2 TDs, both to Dwayne Bowe, but only managed 103 yards on 19 attempts. Star halfback Jamaal Charles had 16 carries for just 48 yards before leaving the game with an forearm injury. The Chiefs said after the game that they expect Charles to be out for several weeks. Chiefs head coach Corey Lewers said the "offense has a long way to go before we can be SuperBowl contenders." With the passing game already struggling, and now Charles out, the Chiefs could be in some serious trouble.
The Chiefs will have a bye next week, while the Buccanners will host the Saints.

    Vikings 20, Redskins 17

    MIN at WSH 2012.jpg

LANDOVER, Maryland --- The Minnesota Vikings have struggled since a Week 2 win over the Indianapolis Colts, losing three in a row. However, a late touchdown drive orchestrated by quarterback Christian Ponder led the Vikings to their second win of the season, a 20-17 win over the Washington Redskins. The loss was the first of the season for Washington.
Minnesota looked to have swung their fortunes into a positive light when rookie safety Robert Blanton forced a fumble on the Redskins opening drive. The Vikings started out with great field position but were unable to capitalize with a touchdown and settled for a 33 yard Blair Walsh field goal. Washington promptly scored on their next drive to take a 7-3 lead on a beautiful drive led by rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III.
The Vikings failed to convert another red zone appearance into seven points early in the second quarter and settled for another Walsh field goal to pull within one. The Redskins would drive again late in the half on what looked to be a drive to go up 14-6, however the drive stalled at the 37 yard line and Washington had to settle for a field goal.
Minnesota started with the ball in the second half but was unable to mount an attack and each team traded punts before the Vikings were able to mount a successful scoring drive to end the quarter. Adrian Peterson scampered in from four yards out to put the Vikings up 13-10 heading to the final frame.
The fourth quarter saw both offenses struggle early and the game looked to be comfortably in the Vikings favor as Peterson was churning out yards at seven yards a clip. However, the Vikings stalled on a late attempt to run out the clock and a punt into the end zone gave RG3 reasonable field position to mount a game-tying drive. Tight end Fred Davis had other plans though and broke off a 62 yard score on a pass from Griffin to put Washington up by four with just over three minutes to play.
The Vikings turned the ball over on their ensuing drive and the Redskins appeared destined to improve to 6-0 on the season. However, Washington was unable to gain a first down on three straight rushes by Roy Helu, Jr. and had to punt the ball away to the Vikings with about 1:30 to play. The Vikings appeared to have taken the lead on the first play of the drive when rookie wide receiver Greg Childs found himself wide open 10 yards behind the Washington secondary. However, Ponder put just a little too much on the pass and, while Childs made the catch, he lost his balance and tumbled to the ground having to settle for a 40 yard completion. Three plays later the Vikings were able to punch the ball in on a 1 yard run from Peterson to take a 20-17 lead with 21 seconds left. Two incompletions and a sack were all the Redskins could muster and the Vikings held on for the come-from-behind, upset win over the previously unbeaten Redskins.

Dallas’ Defense pitches the shutout, ground Ravens 34-0
    Dallas D.jpg
Defensive Unit: 2 sacks, 3 ints, 1 FF/Fum Rec., allowed 26 rushing yards and 160 passing yards
    Romo: 16-25 275 yds 2 TDs 2 int
    Flaccos: 12-28 177 yds 0 TD 3 int

    Murray: 21-47 1 TD
    Rice: 10-26

    Witten 4-101, 1 td
    Ogletree 4-59, 1 td
    Austin 4-48
    Boldin 4-47
    Smith 2-31
    Dickson 3-49

Church, Carr & Claiborne: 1 int each
    Ware 2 sacks (5 tackles)
Sensabaugh 3 tackles (1 forced fumble)
    R. Lewis 7 tackles
Upshaw & McPhee 1 sack each
Pollard & Webb: 1 int each

Dez Bryants struggles continued (1 cth 25 yards), Romo Threw 2 Int’s (only threw 1 all season) and Murray was held to 47 yards on 21 carries (2.2 ypc). Despite that, the Cowboys won handedly on the road against a tough Ravens team. Tonight’s hero, the Defense…giving up under 200 yards of total offense and forcing 4 turnovers, they carried this Dallas team on a day when the offense wasn’t totally in sync.

The Ravens couldn’t get anything going with the run game, as R. Rice was only able to muster 26 yards on 10 carries, and Flacco struggled throwing the ball. They had several opportunities, but Flacco missed his receivers through-out the game and this Dallas Defense made him pay for those mistakes. Dallas again wins the turnover battle, and the end result is the same…a victory.

    Game notes:
    M. Claiborne was hurt on his INT and will be out for 2 weeks
    J. Witten 1st 100 yd game & 1st TD of the year.
    D. Bryant’s 3rd game with 1 catch or less.

    Raiders 44 vs Falcons 21

Raiders win despite lackluster effort on offensive side of the ball. On the other hand they had a classic bend don't break defense forcing 7 interceptions and 4 sacks despite giving up 400+ yards of offense. Jacoby also had a smooth 100 yard kick return for touchdown in the 3rd quarter. On the other hand Michael Turner couldn't find his groove in the run game and Matt Ryan had his bright moments but killed his own team with the turnovers.

    Top Players:
Raiders - Darren McFadden 19 car, 78 yds, 1 td
    Shawntae Spencer 3 ints

    Falcons - Matt Ryan 30/57 415 yds, 2 tds 7 ints
Jonathan Babinneaux 2 sacks, 1 int

    WEEK 6

Champ Bailey comes up big with a pick 6 with under a minute left to seal the win for the Broncos.

The Broncos (0-5) played the Chargers(1-4) in a sold out Qualcom Stadium on Monday Night Football. The Broncos opened the scoring with a FG and both teams were playing good defense and it was 3-0 Broncos at the end of the 1st quarter. The Chargers would take the lead early in the 2nd quarter when Rivers found Mike Williams on a 11 yard TD hookup to make it 7-3 Chargers. The Broncos would answer right before halftime on a Manning to Stokley 12 yard TD pass to make it 10-7 Broncos at halftime.

The 3rd quarter was a field position game with both teams playing good defense. The Broncos would tack on 3 points early in the 4th quarter on a 48 yard Matt Prater FG to make it 13-10 Broncos after 3 quarters. The Broncos would add another FG to make it 16-10. The Chargers would get a golden opportunity to win the game after they stopped Denver just inside our 50 and forced the punt. Rivers and the San Diego offense would get the ball with about 80 yards to go for the win. The offense went to work and moved the ball downfield into the redzone with just under a minute left. it was 2nd down from the Broncos 28 with 42 seconds left when Rivers took the snap dropped back and looked to his 2nd option on the play Mike Williams. Oh, he was open with Bailey playing off by 10 yards in zone coverage . Rivers saw it and threw the pass to Williams , but Bailey appeared out of no where to jump the pass and go untouched 93 yards to upset the Chargers on Monday Night Football. The Broncos would go for 2 after scoring and converted making it 24-10.

The team played well enough on defense to win but it was turnovers with Rivers throwing 3 picks leading to 10 Broncos points off turnovers that cost the chargers the game today.

Coach Hardee commented in his post game press conference that Rivers must eliminate turnovers ." I think he is trying to do too much and create some big plays. He is forcing some balls into tight coverage and it simply isn't acceptable."" We need to use this bye week to iron out our offense and get on track"

The Chargers were hurt again this week by the injury bug with LOLB Shaun Phillips suffering Broken ribs in the 2nd quarter. Phillips will be sidelined for 2 weeks.

With the win the Broncos get out of the AFC west celler and are now 1-5. The Chargers fall to 1-5.
The Chargers are now in a 5 game losing streak and have fallen to the bottom of the AFC West at 1-5.
