The winner of each game (or user if playing the CPU) must post a short game summary following their game. The summary must include the following:
    • Game Score
    • Key Team Stats
    • Key Individual Stats
    • Notes
This can be as basic or as simply as you would like to make it. However, the more engaging the posts are, the more invested other users will be in this thread and the league in general. Its up to you how much effort you want to put into it.

    SAINTS WIN 4 STRAIGHT
Destroy Broncos in their own backyard
    28-9
    [IMG]
The Saints came into week 8 the hottest team in the league. And they didn't disappoint Sunday in the PrimeTime matchup against Peyton Manning and the Broncos. The scoring started with a long drive that ended with a 1 yard TD pass from Jay Cutler to Devery Henderson. In the 2nd, Denver would add 2 FG's and the Saints responded at the end of the quarter with another long drive that ended with the player of the game honoree Matt Forte scoring on a 1 yard rush. At the half, it was closer than the game actually was with the score being 14-6. In the 3rd, the only scoring to be had was Denver adding another 30 yard FG to make it a 14-9 game. But eventually in the 4th, it was all black and gold as Matt Forte and Mark Ingram (first TD of the season) both ran the ball into the endzone giving New Orleans the 28-9 victory.
    Key Stats:
Jay Cutler: 14-20, 165 yards, TD
Matt Forte: 25 att, 137 yards, 2 TD
Mark Ingram: 7 att, 40 yards, TD
    Next Game: vs. Philadelphia Eagles

    Vikings 37, Buccaneers 7
    TB at MIN 2012.jpg
MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota --- One game can be a fluke and two games can just be an aberration. However, winning three games in a row in the NFL is a sign of who you are. Right now the Minnesota Vikings are a team capable of making the playoffs.
Minnesota pulled out it's third straight victory on Sunday by defeating the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers 37-7. Adrian Peterson led the way with his third straight 130-plus yards, multiple touchdown rushing performance. The defense also forced five turnovers in the win.
Tampa Bay held the Vikings to a field goal on their opening drive and responded with a quick strike touchdown to Vincent Jackson on their first possession. After another Vikings' field goal it looked as though the Bucs were in prime position to try and record their first victory of the season. Quarterback Josh Freeman ended that hope for Tampa Bay fans, though, by throwing an interception early into the next drive. The Vikings couldn't capitalize and on their very next Tampa Bay possession Freeman threw another interception, this one returned 67 yards for a touchdown. That was all the separation the Vikings needed and cruised to their fourth victory of the season, evening their record at 4-4.
Next week Minnesota will try to extend their win streak as they travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, will look for their first win of the season in Oakland against the Raiders.
Good game Zikry. The bad connection certainly didn't help the pass game. Hopefully it was just a one-off and you can continue as usual.

The 49ers won their 4th straight game to extend their division lead. This was a hard fought, back and forth game.
Frank Gore yet again ran for over 150 yards for his 5th straight game and has scored a TD in every game this year.

    Teams Stats:
    Untitled.png
As a team the Seahawks played very well. We held them to under 200 yards of offense and won the turnover battle. We weren't able to get any sacks which is something we will work on in the future.
    Individual Stats:
I decided to make a quarterback change from Wilson to Flynn. Flynn threw for 249 yards with no interceptions or touch downs. Matt Stafford threw for 1 touch down while throwing 2 interceptions. Marshawn Lynch had a big day for me as he had 21 carries for a 100 yards and a TD. Calvin Johnson had a solid day for the Lions recording 5 catches for 67 yards and a TD. For the Seahawks, Braylon Edwards had a nice game grabbing 6 balls for 116 yards.
    Notes:
It was a defensive game throughout. A lot of short passes because both secondaries played well covering the deep ball. Luckily I was able to force some interceptions and that made the difference.

    Dallas Sacks Giants 27-3

    Manning: 8-19 132 yds 1 Int

    Rushing:
    Murray: 21-51 1 TD
    Bradshaw:-8-21

    Receiving:
    Bryant 3-91
    Wittin 5-86
    Ogletree 3-57 1td
    Austin 3-57 1td

    Nicks 2-34
    Cruz 2-30

    Bradshaw 2-23

    Defense:
Spears, Ware & Coleman 1 Sack each
    S. Lee 3 Tackles, 1 int
    B. Carter 6 Tackles

    C. Webster 3 Tackles, 1 int
    K. Phillips 7 Tackles
    Kiwanuka, Umenyiora 1 sack each

Romo threw his first 300+ yard have of the season and Dallas’ Defense continued to dominate as the Cowboys took care of the Giants at home on Sunday afternoon. Romo threw a pair of TD passes, one each to Ogletree and Austin. The only thing Dallas didn’t do well was run the ball. The Giants Defense continually dropped Murray for losses and no gains. He finished the night with 51 yards on 21 carries. It didn’t matter though because Romo found his touch early and kept it all game.

Dall as took an early 14-0 lead by scoring touchdowns on their first two drives. Then they added a field goal with 6 seconds in the half to take a 17-0 lead at halftime. They put in on cruise control in the second half and sailed to a 27-3 victory over the rival Giants.

The Giants Defense did really well stopping the run, holding Murray to a paltry 2.4 YPC, but the Giants secondary had its hands full with the Dallas receivers. On offense the Giants couldn’t get the running game going and Eli struggled to find any open receivers throughout the night. The Dallas secondary has been much improved over last year with the additions of B. Carr and M. Claiborne. Manning finished with 132 yards, Zero Tds and 1 int. This loss drops the Giants to 2-6 on the year.

    Game notes:
Romo has 1st 300+ yard game of the season
Claiborne was able to play tonight despite the abdomen injury
Dallas has yet to allow a 100 yard rusher

    Next up: @Falcons

Chiefs Rally Past Raiders In Rivalry Game
    VFLWeek8.png

    Player Of The Game
    Chiefs QB Matt Cassel
    13/21, 356 Yards, 4 TDS 1 INT

KANSAS CITY, MO -- In probably the Chiefs' biggest game of the young season, Matt Cassel stepped up big time. Cassel tossed 4 TDs, including the go-ahead strike to Dwayne Bowe late in the fourth quarter.

The Oakland Raiders came into Arrowhead Stadium looking to prove they were the best team in the AFC West. And for almost 3 quarters, it looked that way. Oakland was led by Darren McFadden, who had 191 total yards and 2 scores. Darrius Heyward-Bey also dominated the Chiefs secondary, catching 8 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown.

But the Chiefs defense finally stepped up in the second half when they needed to. After allowing 28 points in the first 16 minutes of the game, the Chiefs held the Raiders scoreless for the final 12. A huge moment came when Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson intercepted a Carson Palmer pass with the Raiders in the redzone.

Trailing 28-17 late in the third, Kansas City would score 14 unanswered to rally past the Raiders and remain undefeated. With the loss, the Raiders drop to a respectable 5-2 on the year. They will host the winless Buccaneers next week. The Chiefs will travel to San Diego to battle the struggling Chargers.

    MIRACLE IN CHICAGO!!!

    CAROLINA PANTHERS 27 - CHICAGO BEARS 31
After being down 24 - 7 late in the 2nd quarter the bears pulled up their sleeves and fought it out to the end! going on a 24 - 3 run the bears used some great Defense and efficient offense to gain the much needed W. A loss for the bears wouldve ment last place in the division with very little hope considering that te packers are playing excellent and the vikings are starting to find their form. balanced running attack with michael bush and sproles gave the team over 100 yards rushing. Bears move to 3-4 (2-1 last 3 weeks). Panthers move to 3-4 as well.
