The winner of each game (or user if playing the CPU) must post a short game summary following their game. The summary must include the following:
    • Game Score
    • Key Team Stats
    • Key Individual Stats
    • Notes
This can be as basic or as simply as you would like to make it. However, the more engaging the posts are, the more invested other users will be in this thread and the league in general. Its up to you how much effort you want to put into it.

Here are some links to help out your summaries:
    Have fun!

Bills Start 2013 Off With A Win
    Defeat Eagles, 19-16

In a game the Bills wanted to use to showcase their three Rookie starters (QB J. Shuman, HB K. Hall, WR S. Oduh) , it was their veteran Kicker who proved the difference maker. All game the two teams struggled to punch the ball into the end-zone. The Eagles looked early on to be the favorites to get the win, seemingly moving the ball at will on the arm and legs of Michael Vick, but 3 trips to the red zone only netted the home team 3 field goals.

It was a similar story for the visiting Bills. Despite decent play from Rookie QB Jonathan Shuman and the Running-Back corps, the Bills couldn't punch the ball into the end-zone on 4 of their 5 trips, having to settle for field goals.

This would be the deciding factor. With both teams continuously being held to field goals, Rian Lindell of Buffalo made 4/4 FGs, while Alex Henery of Philadelphia only made 3/4 - missing a crucial 44 Yarder in the 3rd Quarter that would be very costly as his team would go on to lose by just 3 points.

49ers defense caused havoc all day for the Browns. Having a total of 17 TFL's, 7 sacks, 3 INT, 3 FF, 2 FR.

2nd year WR AJ Jenkins had a career day on the offensive side. Having 3 rec for 42 yards and 3 TD's. Alex Smith re-informed coach Richards why he was benched last year, throwing 5 INT's!! LaMichael James showed why Frank Gore is expandable by rushing for 52 yards on 4 att. But Gore did have a rushing touchdown.

    Stats-
    A. Smith- 11-24, 204 yards, 3 TD, 5 INT
    F. Gore- 18 att, 45 yards, 1 TD

    Vikings 41, Saints 7
    MIN at NO 2013.jpg
NEW ORLEANS, La. --- The Minnesota Vikings were determined to shore up their defense and eliminate a perceived issue at quarterback during the past offseason. If one game is any indication, the team did both just right. The Vikings dominated 2012 NFC South Champions New Orleans en route to a 41-7 win Sunday.
New addition Kurt Warner, who returned from retirement prior to the NFL Draft, looked sharp in his first action since 2009. Warner completed 11-of-18 pass attempts for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Rookie receiver Reginald Thomas was the recipient of one of those touchdown passes and had three catches on the day. Another offseason acquisition, Randy Moss, also looked sharp tying for a team high three receptions as well.
Defensive;y, the Vikings were suffocating much of the afternoon. The Viking defense routinely put New Orleans in 3rd down situations and the Saints routinely shot themselves in the foot with penalties that stalled drives. Newly acquired Colin McCarthy was solid in the middle for the Vikings and contributed three tackles and a sack while also calling the defensive signals.
All around it was an impressive performance for Minnesota who faltered down the stretch a year ago to miss the playoffs. Next week the Vikings will be at home to face Kansas City who went 16-0 a year ago before losing in their first playoff game. The Saints, meanwhile, will stay at home and host the Houston Texans who had the 2nd best record in the AFC last season.

    Titans top Ravens 35-21

Coach Maniac was pleased with his team battling through adversity and coming back to notch a win against the Ravens. "We got down early, but we fought through it and came back. There are always things to improve upon but I'll take a hard won victory." The Ravens opened up the scoring with a pass from Joe Flacco to Bonner. The Flacco Bonner connection teamed up for 7 completions and 117 yards. The Titans quickly answered with a strike from Jake Locker to Jared Cook Jr. The Ravens then scored 14 straight, both throws from Flacco. The second coming after a Jake Locker interception. The Titans looked like they were going into the half in a 14 point hole but Marc Mariani had a 94 yard kickoff return for a touchdown to make things 21-14 at half.

To start the second half the Titans went to the ground and pound offense, they established the run and the drive ended with a Chris Johnson touchdown run. The Ravens looked to be driving but veteran FS Michael Griffin had an interception with a long runback to set up the Chris Ivory score. Jake Locker added a touchdown pass to secure the victory for the Titans.

    Notable stats:
    Passing:
    J. Flacco 14/33 242 yards 3 TDs 1 Int

    Dolphins vs Chiefs

    Miami 24 - KC 21

Dolphins pull out a huge win late in the 4th quarter. The Chiefs were down 17-14 in the 4th. KC got the ball back with just over 2 minutes left. The Chiefs needed to get a field goal to tie it, instead they drive the ball down with a huge catch and run from WR D.Bowe. Then punch the ball into the endzone, Miami's tough defense couldn't keep Cassel from completing passes to get a touch down. Now the Chiefs are up 17-21. Second year starting QB R.Tannehill had just under 1:40 on the clock with 3 timeouts. Making big throws seems to be his speciality. On a 3rd and 10, Tannehill threw the ball down the left sideline to a streaking rookie WR Dean. It was a jump ball, the 6'3" wideout came down with the catch over the defensive back. That put the Dolphins in the redzone. Still needing the td to get the win, the Dolphins had to put the ball up in the air. On a 4th and 3 at the 6 yard line, the rookie WR came up big again. A catch and the first down. Then Tannehill made the right read, hitting RB R.Bush out of the backfield for the go ahead TD. It was a play designed to hit the WR short for the score, but he was covered by 3 defenders. Bush was wide open for the game winner.

What a Game!! The Chiefs won't go undefeted this year. But we know they are a well coached team with lots of talent. We see why they won so many games last year.

Lions start strong, almost give the game away yet hold on for a 52 to 46 victory
Lions started off the season with lots of momentum ... defense looks solid and the offense still looks a lil shaky ... Titus Young, who the coaches anticipated could have a breakout year with the addition of Wes Welker, went down during the preseason and will be lost for the year ... the team will have to rely on some new weapons this year and we saw those growing pains ... the Cardinals started out with the ball and on the second play of the game Suh blew up the ball carrier and jarred the ball loose ... Vanden Bosch recovered and put the first 6 points of the game on the board ... Detroit would eventually mount a large lead leading into halftime however Stafford started to give the ball right back to Arizona ... a quick pick 6 followed by another interception on the Lions next possession got them back within striking distance ... as Arizona continued to close the gap, they would eventually recover a squib kick at a critical moment in the game ... This would result in yet another Cardinal TD which put the game at 52 to 46 ... The Cardinals would line up for yet another squib kick with under 2 min left and no timeouts and this time the squib kick was unsuccessful ... the Lions would run out the clock and seal the win to kick off the 2013 season
    [IMG]
Calvin Johnson is the player of the game as he finished with 7 catches for 204 yds with 2 TDS ... Calvin had an 81 yd td pass and also gained 88 yds in YAC which is impressive in its ownself
Stafford 17 of 27 for 382 yds with 3 tds and 2 ints
Johnson 7 catches for 204 with 2 tds
Pettigrew 4 catches for 87 yds with 1 td
Scheffler 3 catches for 67 yds
Leshoure 25 rushed for 91 yds and 2 tds
Skelton 20 of 38 for 366 yds with 3 tds and 1 int
Vinal 6 catches for 132 yds
Floyd 4 catches for 44 yds with 1 td
Fitzgerald 3 catches for 111 yds and 1 td
Wells 6 rushes for 21 yds

    Pats Win A Thriller
    [IMG]
In this game, both teams would have their shots but it would be the Pats who would make the most of their opportunities. The scoring would start with a 60 TD pass from rookie QB Danny Martens to Akia Green. This score would give the Chargers a quick 7-0 lead. The Pats would come back with a TD pass of their own from Brady to Gronk 7-7. Late in the first quarter, the Chargers would get the lead back with a 43-yard FG. In the second quarter, the Pats would capitalize off a fumble ad Ridley would run it in from 3 yards out. The last score before half would be another long 52-yard td pass from Martens to Meachem. In the 3rd quarter, Martens would throw a pick 6 to give the Pats back the lead. The rookie QB would show that he was not shaken but that pick 6 coming back with a 11 yard TD pass to Gates 24-21 at the end of the third. The Pats would pick up a FG to tie the game at 24 with 1:52 left in the game. The Chargers would then drive down the field and attempt a long FG and it would fall into Josh Cribbs hands. He would take the FG back to the 50-yard line. The Chargers would try to send an all-out blitz but they left Gronk wide open for a 32 yard TD to win the game!

Carolina Looks Polished in Week 1
The biggest question surrounding this season for the Panthers is 'Can Cam Newton take the next step to become an elite QB in the NFL?' The Chicago Bears found out Cam is out to prove all of his critics wrong, on the day Cam put together a perfect 158.3 passer rating. He was 16 for 20, 267 Yds and 3 TDs and ran for an additional 31 Yds. Cam looked in mid-season form moving in the pocket and extending plays with his feet. Carolina could not get the ground game going being stopped consistently by a tough Chicago Bears defense, only being able to muster up 91 Yds on 28 attmepts.
The Panthers defense stepped up their game against Drew Brees, holding the future Hall of Famer to 97 Yds through the air, and stuffed Darren Sproles all day long only allowing 22 Yds rushing. Jon Beason lead the way recording 7 tackles, 4 of which were for a loss.
Carolina faces the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2.

    ASSOCIATED PRESS, JACKSONVILLE-

An uncharacteristic day for Jacksonville resulted in a last second field goal that gave the Jaguars a 23-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons in the opening week of the regular season. Blaine Gabbert turned in an excellent performance, throwing for 320 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception on the day. Maurice Jones Drew rushed for barely over 40 yards on the day, and rookie cornerback Sinelau Watts turned in 7 tackles in an excellent opening effort.

"We played a great game allt he way around," said coach Jacob Deyo. "We got it done offensively, and when we needed a couple of big stops on defense, we took care of business. When we got down two possessions in the second half, I had no problem believing my guys could come back on top."

Falcon Matt Ryan threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns, a solid effort. However, a key fumble from Michael Turner put Jacksonville in the driver's seat the rest of the way. The Jaguars look to improve their record against their division rival, the Tennessee Titans, next week.

Bengals Hold Off Steelers in Classic AFC North Battle
Rookie HB Bull Griggs made his NFL debut with 122 yards on the ground and a TD, and Cincinnati was able to overcome a 3 INT day by QB Andy Dalton with a 10-7 win in their season opener. Both defenses seemed to be in mid-season form as they forced several three-and-outs. Midway through the 1st, Steelers WR Mike Wallace broke away with a 78-yard TD reception but that would turn out to be their only score. The Bengals soon struck back to even the score at 7 with a time-crunching scoring drive that ended with Griggs' 1st career TD run. Both defenses would keep the contest at a stalemate until Bengals K Mike Nugent sealed the win with a 19-yard FG with :05 remaining in regulation.
Next, Cincinnati continues their season-opening road trip as they travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens.

I knew Griggs was going to be a stud the minute I saw he was the man who quietly put up the big numbers in college behind the BMOC back getting most of the attention in UCLA. Great win!

LOL yeah I guess I made a good pick, wouldn't call it a good win though ;)
Kept making huge mistakes in the passing game, but my defense played awesome. I didn't take any chances on that last drive LOL, I think I hit Gresham with a pass to get into the red zone and then just let Griggs pound the ball down to the 2 and setup the FG.

I got mine (Roxio Game Capture) for around $65 but they were on sale at the time and I had a coupon. They normally run for $99 but since the HD Pro just came out the price for one is now $69. I like the device the only reason my videos look any good is because of the editing software I have (Sony Vegas Pro 11).
