Post game summaries in here.
Nevada Vs Missouri
Nevada Takes down Missouri.
Nevada used the ground game to pound the Missouri Tigers into the ground.
Nevada kicked off to Mizzou who didnt do much with the ball. After the punt the Wolfpack stalled out also. Both teams would sputter on there first 2 drives. Finally Nevada put it together and mangaged to find the endzone after star RB Lippincott when down with a sprained knee. Via Taua became the packs workhorse. He scampered in from 8 yards out to take the early lead. 7-0. Mizzou answered back with its own drive but stalling before they could get into the red zone, they settled for a 48yd FG. Nevada again responeded with another TD run this time by 3rd string RB Mike Ball who bounced in from 4 yards out. 14-3 Wolfpack. Mizzou wouldnt take long to strike back going 89yards on the kickoff to pull within 4 points. they would miss the XP. Nevada drove down the field only turn it over after QB Kaepernick fumbled at the goal line. Mizzou too the ball right down the field scoring from a 40yrd pass to J. Jackson to take the 15-14 lead. Again Mizzou missed its XP.
Both teams would battle back and forth as Nevada shot it self in the foot a couple times throwing and interception and then getting its option pitch snatached up by a Mizzou defender. It wouldnt be until less then 30 seconds when the nevada defense came up with its biggest plays of the day. first and INT came and was brought back to the Missouri 10 yard line. and Via Taua again dashed in from 5yards out to give the lead back to nevada. When mizzou got the ball back the came out in 5 wide and started to drive the field. Gabbert dropped back fired a pass over the middle where C. Smith caught the ball and dashed back 60yards with 5 seconds left to add to the Nevada lead 28-15 at half time.
Again another defensive quarter, Nevada managed to knock out Missouris QB and it went down hill from there. both teams traded punts back and forth to each other until with just under a minute left Nevada handed the ball off to rising star Via Taua who raced 22yards for the TD giving Nevada the 35-15 lead.
Missouri started stacking the box heavily against the run so Nevada audibled at the line and caught the Tigers on a heavy blitz and found Wimberly open in the middle for 26yards for a TD pass. Missouri responded again with back up QB Dalton rushing 53yards for the tigers final TD. to bring the score to 42-22. Nevada trying to run out the clock managed to score again with 2 mins left on a Mike Ball run. (the 2nd team was in).

Pretty impressive start to the season for Nevada. Very potent offense. Could this be the year they win the WAC - or more?!?
EMU - 24 Kent St. - 10
Eastern Michigan earns another conference win on the road to go to 4-0 in the first time in....well, it's been a while. The game plan was simple coming in with rainy conditions, and their back up quarterback making his first start: Run the football. And they did just that, totaling 185 yards on the ground. Two picks cost the Eagles on drives, worsening concerns and making the run game that much more important in the coach's eyes. The defense gave up some yards, but intercepted two passes. Jacory Stone set a school record with this 97 yard kick return TD to start the third, and, Sophomore Javon Reese broke the school record for sacks in a game with four.
Key Stat: EMU - 8/12 on third downs.
Player of the game: Javon Reese, who got after it on the line all game.
Up next: Cincinnati. A Big East team will come in to play the undefeated Eagles, the first of two games out of conference against BCS schools.
BYU 0-4 thanks to CSU
BYU continues to turnover the ball and continues to struggle on defense. Good game H22.
EMU is getting off to a real good start too! good luck vs cincy!
