Welcome to ESPN’s College Gameday, Live from Fayetteville, Arkansas; the site of this week’s game of the week between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Arkansas Razorbacks. I’m Chris Fowler and I’ll be joined by Herbie and the Coach to discuss this week’s News around the world of college football as well as preview this week’s great slate of action on the gridiron. We start here in Fayetteville where Gameday is this week. Let’s welcome Erin Andrews with the latest on the Game of the Week between the Vols and the Razorbacks “The young Volunteers have been a bit of a surprise this season as it was thought that they may have been a year or two away from being contenders in the SEC. But the Vols have held their own in conference play with just three narrow losses on the year. It will be tough for the Vols to keep up with a dangerous offensive attack, but if Tennessee manages to get a few breaks to go their way and their defense continues to make big plays, the Vols will have an opportunity to pull off the upset. Led by their devastating receiving corps, the Arkansas Razorbacks have put up a lot of points this year. The defense has been suspect from time to time, but it almost doesn’t matter when the offense puts 40+ up a game. Although Wideout Greg Childs is the most recognizable name for the Razorbacks, halfback Knile Davis is having a stellar season and is the true workhorse for the Hog offense.” Players to WatchTennessee: RB Tauren Poole. Poole is the catalyst for the Vol offense. If he fails to get going, it may be over quickly. For Arkansas: WR Greg Childs. Arguably the most talented receiver in the upcoming draft. Thanks Erin; Now it’s time to take a look at this season’s Heisman race. Heisman Watch presented by Nissan.1. Stepfan Taylor, JR RB, Stanford2. Ed Wesley, JR RB, TCU3. Case Keenum, SR QB, Houston4. Underachieving Iowa spanked MSU last season. Coach- #1 Stanford hosting a very dangerous 7-2 Oregon team. This is the first time Stanford will have played someone with similar talent this season. It should be a shootout. ______________________________________ Before we get to our picks, let’s take a look at the latest Coaches, Media and BCS polls brought to you by Old Spice. “Smell like a man, man.” Well, the headgear is here and ready to go so it’s now time for our picks segment.
