    Georgia Tech:

The Rambling Wreck certainly had as crazy a pre-season as anyone could have imagined. In a saga that cloned UFs bizarre coaching problems with Urban Meyer, the head coach retired during two-a-days citing personal issues. Assistant coach Joe Hamilton has been hired as interim head coach, the former Heisman finalist says he hopes to earn a permanent role with the yellow jackets.

It is thought Joe wants to bring back more of a passing attack to the jacket offense, but he has stated he will stick with their playbook for this year as it is senior QB Josh Nesbitt's final season. He also stated he wants to stay run heavy, but wants more diversity in his formations.

On this front, several recruits have been notified that they will no longer be recruited by GT.

GT wins ugly over Tulane 28 - 18

GT was only able to muster 130 yards on 36 carries vs the green wave, shooting itself in the foot on four crucial long plays that could have broken the game open, instead being called back for clipping. It is thought that do to FSU complaints from last season the refs will be looking much closer at GTs run blocking. Though tech was able to dominated the TOP 17 minutes to 12:20 for tulane.

The green wave torched the tech D for 300 yards though only managed 38 on the ground.

    J. Nesbitt was 8-14 for 222 yards and 1 TD 0 INT with 34 yards on 11 rushes and 2 TDs.
Roddy Jones pitched in 42 (on 10 carries) and a TD as well as 51 yards receiving.

Jr(rs) Tyler Melton had the biggest play of the day when he got behind the defense for a 73 yard TD.

    GT beats Kansas 38-17

The jackets got out to a hot start with a 55 yard punt return for TD by mister do it all Roddy Jones, but the game quickly devolved into a quagmire of turnovers and penalties for the rest of the half. Josh Nesbitt did hit a long TD at the end of the half to go into the locker room up 21-3.

In the second half, coach Hamilton was trying to get a bigger lead to see what his young guns at QB could do...the gods were laughing at coach Hamilton as senior impact QB Josh Nesbitt went down with a severe injury that will put him out for the next 5 weeks. The stunned jackets would hold on to win 38-17 after taking a 35-3 lead in the 3rd quarter.

GT broke the 200 yard mark rushing, but look for the passing attack to go quickly downhill under the young QBs.

    GT 24 UNC 17

GT rallied behind freshman QB T. Washington who was 4 of 11 for 81 yards 1 TD and 1 INT and also pitched in 57 yards 1 TD the ground.

Senior FB A. Allen had the biggest play of the day for the jackets rumbling 50 yards on a FB option for a score.

The game ball goes to the GT defense who tallied 4 sacks and 3 INTs to harass the UNC offense all night.

    GT 20 - NC ST 3

GT's D once again shows up big time allowing the young QB Washington to learn the intricacies of the offense. WR Stephen Hill turned in the games biggest play with a 55 yard TD catch and run.

    GT 24 WFU 10

    Tevionn Washington 9/20 155 yards 3TDs 0 INTS, 57 yds rushing on 14 carries
Anthony Allen 83 yards on 13 carries
Roddy Jones 60 yards rec on 5 catches 1 TD

GT will be switching to a run balanced type offense...had 4 straight holding calls vs wfu lol, cant run option with this many penalties and not have decent passing plays to pick up the yardage...also can not generate any running game up the middle with my impact FB on dives/triple option it gets stuffed every time and since this is the only real running plays up the middle in the pb i need to change.

    GT defeats Clemson 30-7

The score would lead you to believe this was a comfortable win, but it was only 13-7 with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter...that is when QB Teddy Washington broke lose on an option run breaking 3 tackles and racing away 78 yards for a TD to finally break the game open. Clemson would then fumble their next 2 KO returns leading to 10 more points for the Rambling Wreck.

GT loses to Clemson in the ACC title game 31-17, Senior QB Nesbitt suspended for bowl game

Following a harrowing loss to Clemson, head coach Joe Hamilton decided to drug test his senior QB after his 6 turnover performance. Nesbitt was reported to be out late the night before the game by several players. Nesbitt's test came back positive for meth and marijuana, he was not available for comment.

GT completes season sweep of Jawja Bullfrogs
GT wins on a last second FG 23-20.

GT was without senior QB Nesbitt do to drug abuse, and to make matters worse -- do it all RB Roddy Jones was knocked out early in the 1st quarter...luckily freshman QB Tevin Washington flourished in the new offensive attack throwing for 230 yards 1 TD and 1 INT with 63% completion percentage. Backup RB Emory Peebles took an option pitch over 50 yards for another score and dumped in 100 on the day.

GT Finishes 12-2 and probably ranked somewhere in the 15-10 range.
