GEORGIA @ AUBURN Georgia came into Jordan-Hare looking to put Auburn's hopes for a successful season to bed. After the initial kick-off it seemed as if eveything was going to go the way of the visiting Georgia team... On the very 1st play from scrimmage Hellisan audibles and goes over the top for a 70+ yard score. Auburn received the ball and was driving but was suddenly picked on a great play by the OLB. The Georgia running game started going to work and in the blink of an eye it was 14-0 Georgia. The teams traded 3 and outs and it seemed as if both sides had finally settled in. Georgia once again used a combination of the run and pass to skillfully enter the endzone and suddenly the Auburn faithful our looking up at a 21-0 deficit. Auburn did not panic and after some 3 and outs finally put some good work together and hit a wide-open tight end to close the gap to 21-7 with only a few minutes left. Auburn kicks off to Georgia and on a long 3rd down Georgia throws the ball right to a Auburn Defensive back who brings it to the house 21-14. That is how the half ended. 21-14 Auburn received the kick and drove down and settled for a FG. Auburn had really dialed up the defensive intensity and created another turnover. Again Auburn rolled down the field to go up 24-21. Auburn fought to finally take the lead and the pressure was back on Georgia. Georgia would tie it at 24..... Auburn answered to go up 31-24 Georgia again catches lightning in the bottle and hits for a long score of over 70 yards.... Game tied 31-31.. By this time the Auburn offense was in full rythm and was able to again march down the field to take a 38-31 lead with 2 minutes. Georgia would start to move but as time pressed on.....Hellisan threw yet another ill-advised pass which was picked off and taken to the house with less than 15 seconds remaining. Final Score 45-31.. Auburn is very excited about the result especially after realizing that after the 21-0 Georgia lead..... Auburn outscored Georgia 45-10. Go Tigers!
