The Packers knew going into this game that they would have their hands full. Ahmad Bradshaw has been running the ball hard and fast coming in to this matchup. Goal number one was to contain Bradshaw and strip the ball whenever the opportunity provided itself.

The first quarter started with the Packers being forced to punt on their first series. On the Giants first drive they methodically moved the ball down the field. Eli would connect with Wallace from 30 yards out for the score and the early lead. The Packers were able to move the ball on the next series but stalled and Mason Crosby kicked a 37 yard field goal. 3-7.

The Packers defense stepped up their game in the second quarter forcing a punt on the Giants next possession. The Packers moved slowly down the field but finally Rodgers found Finley 4 yards out to give the Packers the lead. 10-7. With the Giants embarking on a 2 minute drill drive, they handed off to Ahmad Bradshaw. The Packers defense swarmed and stripped the ball and Desmond Bishop came up with the recovery. With seconds left in the half, James Starks punches it in from 1 yard out. 17-7.

The Giants were looking for a spark. Mike Wallace fielded the kickoff 6 yards deep and broke 1 tackle and took it to the house for 106 yard td. 17-7. The Packers were unfazed. Weak teams crumble, strong teams persevere. The long play would elude the Pack all day. The yards they did get were in chunks of 10 yards. Facing a pressing man defense most of the game, the Packers utilized their great release receivers to beat the pressure consistently all game long. The Packers marched right back down the field and Brandon Saine, getting more playing time as the season has wore on, rushes in from 4 yards to put the Packers back up by 10. The Giants started scrambling on their next series mixing a few no huddle plays in the mix. The Pack defense stopped a 1 yard run from the 2. The Giants would immediately call a no huddle so the Pack couldn't substitute their tiring d line out. Rather than calling a timeout (thought they might be necessary at the end) the Packers d conceded and Bradshaw ran in from 1 yard out. 24-21.

All game long the Packers had a response to a Giants score. This time Greg Jennings catches a beautiful tight spiral from Rodgers for a 29 yard reception to put Green Bay back up by 10. The Packers defense picked up their d in the fourth when it mattered most. All the Giants could muster was a 55 yard field goal with 2:30 to go in the game. The Packers would mix a few runs in and a couple of passes to Jennings and Finley to seal the victory.
