Alright... now you only get to pick one. I'll run this type of poll again at the very end of the cycle as well if you guys want but 4 seasons in, its time to pat a few people on the back and congratulate them on their hard work.

For the three guys up for vote, you guys should put together a short resume of sorts. Something like:
    • 2 Superbowl titles, 3 AFC Championship appearances
    • All time record 51-11
    • Current team overall 83OFF 86DEF
    • 8 pro bowlers in S4
    • Best playoff record in TMFL at 8-2
    etc etc
    Good luck!

    Patriots Resume

    • 48-16 Regular Season Record
    • 4 Playoff Appearances
    • 2 Superbowl Championships
    • 7-1 Playoff record (1 loss was a sim due to me being out of town)
    • Key Moves after Season 1- Let Wes Welker go to open up cap space to sign key free agents that season such as Randy Moss, Osi Umenyiora, and Rashean Mathis
    • Key Moves after Season 2- Resigning Vince Wilfork, Brandon Spikes, Chandler Jones, and Devin McCourty to keep the bulk of our defense intact.
    • Key Moves after Season 3- Signed Steve Smith WR, Ted Ginn WR, and Julius Peppers. Also, traded back in the draft to pick up a 1st round(this year) and 3rd round pick (last year)(didn't have a 3rd round pick in this draft due to a trade for Tucker Marshall) Drafted Jay Macon (Tom Brady retired) the 56th overall pick of the draft who has put together a 30+ td season to only 3 ints and will be the AFC Rookie of the Year.
    • 83 Off 82 Def

I'm sticking with Antcap here. Not taking away what Phil and Baron have done but the moves Ant has made have been great ones!

Atlanta Falcons: 85 Offense 83 Defense

Falcons had a nice core of players to start the cycle.

Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Julio Jones, Tony Gonzalez, Michael Turner on offense

Sean Weatherspoon, Asante Samuel, Brent Grimes, Jonathan Babineaux, Thomas Decoud, William Moore John Abraham on defense.

Through the years, the Falcons have been able to not only keep their CORE players but added to them.

Of the previous mentioned players, the Falcons were to keep almost ALL of the players except we choose to cut Michael Turner, John Abraham due to age and lost Tony Gonzalez to retirement.

Moves we were able to make:

    Acquired:
RB Chris Johnson(90) via trade to replace Turner
FB Jed Collins (92) via Free agency
TE Jason Ashley (81) via Draft
OT Jordan Gross (94) via Free Agency
C Nick Hardwick (88) via Free Agency
RG Kevin Finner (85) via Draft

DE Jared Allen (95) via Free Agency
DE Cameron Jackson (93) via Draft
DT Henry Melton (93) via Free Agency
LOLB Manny Lawson (89) via Free Agency

    In the wings:
Rookie WR Jaron Ford- Superstar Development WR with 97 speed
Rookie MLB Nate Pettinato- 62 Tackles 7 sacks 1 INT in 13 games this year

Overall, in the sense of the GM title, I figured I would highlight the fact that I was able to keep a good team intact for the duration of the cycle while building the more pieces around them.
All these players have made playoff rosters and I was named Coach of the year before, but those are sticks skills and execution rather then building a squad aspect.

Still had to go with Ant, not to take away from the others. There are no holes top to bottom on the Falcons roster while keeping all core players and producing as a player as well as fine GM.

bumping this to try and get more votes - only 17 votes so far, should have at least a few more, even excluding the brand new guys

I excluded myself from voting for obvious reasons. This award should go to someone who deserves it.

I think to make an informed decision, we would need two items...
    1. List of GMs here for entire cycle
    2. Within that list, greatest increase of Overall from S1 to Current

Something big to me is how guys handle bad contracts that players were signed to in the original file. That's why I chose Baron based on how he dealt with Vicks deal, releasing him, and grabbing another qb that draft (basically just as good as Vick IMO) and being able to resign players that he normally wouldn't have had he of kept Vick's deal.

I probably had no right in voting, but antcap24 is so damn good. In fact I'd love to see HotRod and antcap24 play a game. I'd pay to watch. I've never beat either and antcap24 pretty much has his way with me everytime we played in past TMFL versions.

They play twice a year in the NFC South, I'm sure one of them can chime in on vs records.

I appreciate it CWT. Hotrod and I played twice this past year. I ended up winning both. However, the first game ended up going in OT as I had a late 4th quarter comeback. I really should have lost that one. The 2nd one came down to 13 sec left I believe in which I had one play to score or I would have lost. I was able to make a play and win the game in final moments. Both games could have went either way.

Hotrod and I will be playing twice a year from here on out.. Hopefully hell stream it, and Ill make sure to tag you when we roll next.

Ahhh, I did not realize HotRod was pulling double duty here in TMFL & TLY. Good to know. Can I be in the AFC for M25?;)
