    Go Blue 2012

THings are looking up in Ann Arbor as Michigan looks to build upon its late season successes and bowl victory.

Coach Vredesbyrd plans on utilizing his version of the spread attack on offense in order utilize his 4 90+ rated WRs and speedy halfback Vincent Smith. Look for a few wildcat formations as well. Tate Forcer will look to spread the ball around to his talented skill players and to lead this program from the depths of its former head coach.

    Week One

    Michigan - 38
    USC - 7

This one was over by the end of the first half as Michigan pummled its way to a 35-0 lead. Tate Forcier had 5 TD passes in the first half to 4 different receivers. HB Vincent Smith slashed his way for 100 yards on only 14 carries and caught 3 more for 78 yards as the offense had zero trouble moving the football.

The defense came out and flat dominated, allowing USC to only 195 yards, including 53 on the ground on 32 rushes. The key was on third down where USC managed to convert 3 of 12 attempts.

Things do not get any easier as the Wolverines travel south to take on the mighty Florida Gators in the Swamp.

A BS play for a long Michigan TD. Lol.

After starting out shaky in the first half, down 13-0, the Michigan Wolverines stepped it up in the second half against an aggressive Gator Front Seven and clawed their way to a 13-13 tie with just over a minute left in the game. On a 3rd down play inside their own 40 yard line, Gators QB Reed threw a pass into tight coverage and completed it for a long TD. Just one of those plays, good coverage, better play by the WR to make the catch and break the tackle.

The Wolverines actually marched the ball down within striking distance in the final seconds, but mis managed their timeouts and were forced to throw a long pass into coverage for the game-sealing pick.

If nothing else, the Michigan Wolverines now know that they can stand toe-to-toe with any team in the country in their own back yard. This is the kind of game that can send a season one of two ways: Morale stays up, and the momentum is carried over into the BIG Ten season, or, frustration can set in and the Wolverines can look forward to another 6-6 season.

Bye next week to gather themselves and then another big user game against a rolling Oklahoma State offense.

    Go Blue.

THis one was over after the first quarter. After going 19-25 for 257 yds and 4 tds, Senior QB Tate Forcier was injured in the second quarter and will miss 12 weeks. Senior Denard Robinson was called upon to take off his redshirt and step in, which he did admirably going 5-5 for 97 yards and a TD.

Senior Ja'Ron Stokes hauled in 8 balls for 126 yards and a TD. As well, Roy Roundtree caught 4 for 126 and 2 tds.

Nice bounce back win at home after two tough road losses. After the win, Coach Vredesbyrd told the media that he was off to Las Vegas to do some recruiting of Middle School football players. And to Gamble.

He will be back with the team thursday evening.

Maybe I should have been playing Denard Robinson all this time?!?

Anywho, Robinson looked like Randall Cunningham from the Tecmo Super Bowl days, threading the needle and finding superstar WR JeRon Stokes 11 times for over 200 yards and 2 tds.

    Iowa had no chance. None.

A few more Big Ten games to play until THE Game.

Good to be off the schnide

Michigan used another explosive offensive performance to put away the feisty GOphers in Big Ten Play. Michigan led 24-7 in the first half only to see that lead dwindle to 24-20 in the 3rd quarter. However, when Minneota's starting QB was knocked out of the game, the backup tossed three picks, one for 6 and the game was effectively over.

Denard Robinson once again was outstanding, throwing for 338 yards and 4 TDS.

Illinois put up a great fight, and the Michigan pass defense was nowhere to be found as they gave up over 400 yards through the air. However, Denard Robinson again proved Coach Vredesbyrd a fool by dominating the game more than Forcier ever could. The defense did hold the Illini to 69 yards on the ground, but practice will be killer this week as a struggling Purdue team comes into the Big House

Michigan again rolled up 500 yards of offense behind Senior sensation Denard Robinson as he went over 400 yards throwing. He did suffer his first INT of the year however.

These last two games We have had a difficult time stopping the pass, even thought purdue's numbers dont tell the whole story. On third down, it seems nigh impossible to stop them on pass plays. Ahh well, at least im not the only one!

The Wolverines improve to 6-2 and remain undefeated in Big Ten play with a huge game against the Buckeyes looming.
