    Good morning....slider chit chat.

Well as we wait for Brucie to play his game I think we need to revisit the slider talk for Season 3. Small tweaks IMO. The tuning updated really messed with the theory of our original sliders.

Ultimately Hellisan should have the last say on these but some ideas are always helpful.

I dont know what they are now and it would be nice if someone posted the current sliders.

I think QB ACC needs to be lowered and Pass Coverage higher. Not sure how I feel about WR CTH...seems like hardly anyone drops anything anymore....except Illinois.

i'll break down some of our combined stats since the last tuning file and we can compare to what we had before.

not sure if you're talking QB accuracy for humans or the computer, but the tough thing about humans is interceptions are already too high.

i think the drops is a function of the shittier man-to-man pass coverage - guys aren't getting drilled right as they catch it any more because there's more of a cushion.

    ^^ this.

the cushion just isn't there as much

but the CPU certainly catches when they are there.

any changes to what the CPU does?

In all seriousness we are a "move the sliders a little bit" type league. I'd probably like them but Bly would file a grievance with Ryno if I tried to implement something like this. To your question, no, I'm not ;)

I don't know, I mean I enjoy that the cpu has been giving us good games (big reason is, they possess the ball well). And I don't think it will help with the user games. (as you guys mentioned). I'm definitely, definitely open for discussion on them but I don't want cpu games any easier, I love that I'm not scoring 60/70 a game.

Has anyone in your league ever lost to the computer?

IMO classic "move everything all over the place for the sake of playing Slider God" set of sliders.

yes - many times a year. In fact I think all but 3 guys have lost to the computer at some point in two seasons.

IMO we have the best sliders right now because ...

    a) they provide a challenging computer game.

    b) they're actually backed up by statistics from all of the players in the league over a course of several games.

    c) they don't go overboard and change things just for the sake of changing them.

    See this thread ...

only issue we have now is the tuning packages have thrown things out of whack so we need to re-calibrate.

I had made a small tweak beginning earlier this year once I saw the man defense change... from 45 for both sides to 50.

It's like communism, the perfect government model, everyone working for each other in a glorious utopia. Then one day you put a person in charge of said utopia and......

sad thing is that even with the bump up my pass defense sucks.

probably also should have lowered interceptions down while abusing your power Helli

Human QB accuracy is way to high imo. When you have 71 overall QBs lighting it up against both humans and the CPU there is a problem.

I think it's pretty easy to pass, but then again I like to start my QB off with some easy completions to get him in a rythm.

Naw I totally agree, actually. I'm for lowering QB acc. to the 15-20 range simialr to the Experience sliders.
