    Miami's rushing attack came to play today as Smith ran for 127 yards and Martindales for 107. The Canes got out to an early 14-0 lead but the Jackets wouldn't lay down. GT would come back and score 17 points in the second quarter to go down at half 21-17, but had a chance to tie after a turnover gave them great field position but were stopped for 3 points.

    The Yellow Jackets came out and took the lead on a 12 yard TD pass from Washington to Stephens but Richard Smith and the Canes responded with a TD themselves, 28-24 U. GT would finish the 3rd quarter on top 31-28 on a TD pass.

    Miami took 0:07 off the clock to begin the fourth with a 48 yard TD pass from Lee to Green, taking back the lead 35-31. The ensuing kickoff GT fumbled the ball and MLB Brian Anderson returned it for the score, 42-31. The Jackets had to come back and get a score and they wound up getting 3 points to cut the lead to 42-34. Miami behind Martindale this time took the ball 23 yard for a score pushing the lead back to 49-34. GT would score with 0:24 left and recover the onsides kick but time wasn't on their side, 49-41.

    Looks like Va Tech vs. Da U is gonna determine that side of the conference. Can't wait for that one.

    Nice win Knoles. I'll try to meet you in the ACC title game byt I am quite the choke artist. If you can pound the rock like that in user games that the U is back.

    I dunno, we had a tough time rushing the ball against FSU but the screens we ran I guess could be called a "toss" play. We will see when we face VT in a week or so...

    no, Im just saying how announcers usually say a HB swing pass is more like a long toss play but gives credit to the QB when the halfback does all the work. That is what I'm tryin to say here
